Back To School Box Card…

Hi everyone! I’m going to work on getting some stuff I’ve made for grands posted!  We’ll see how it goes.

Last week one of my older sisters passed away, funeral was Saturday.  So hard but good to visit with family and friends I haven’t seen for a long time.  So I’m behind posting for Memory Box too but I’ll be making this week!

I made these three box cards for our three grands that attend school.  Our others are home educated.

It was fun to use the library cards that I bought from Starlitstudio.net. I love to read so of course I needed them in my stash!  They worked out perfectly in these box cards!

The box card is a file I cut with my Scan n Cut from Lori Whitlock HERE

My Scan n Cut doesn’t print so if you want to print the numbers you have to get a pdf by emailing for it… or I can send you what they sent me.

The paper bags I put money in are also from Starlitstudio.net

The library card and the bag slide in the box, then it collapses and will fit into an envelope! So cute!

I have some post it notes that are all over sticky on the back so I die cut them and stamped the sentiment for the bag.  The push pin is part of the card file.

It was fun to make something different!

I can’t remember now if I inked the apples or colored them with Copics!

I used a Lawn Fawn alphabet set for their names, a date stamp and another sentiment on the library card.  I printed the grandma and grandpa.

Holler if you have any questions!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a beautiful week…we’re trying not to blow away… so windy this Fall here in Iowa.  Before long the leaves will be dropping and blowing all over the place!

Here’s a pretty picture of the bluffs in the Missouri River area of Iowa…

Memory Box Forest Path Winter Scene Card…

Hi everyone! An all die card to share with you today!

I started with the Memory Box NEW Forest Path die, die cutting it in Memory Box 6×6 glitter cardstock. It’s all sparkly and shimmery in real life!

Added trees… NEW Little Trees and Layered Narrow Pines dies. LOVE the Narrow Pines!

Die cut the NEW Layered Sled ❤ from Memory Box woodgrain cardstock and silver foil cardstock.

A little twine adds so much!

Some Winter glitter glue on the tree tips…

It’s hard to see the glitter in the background but the black is glitter cardstock and shimmery.

I put together one of the snowmen from the Memory Box Snowmen Snowglobe die set and set him in the scene… his black hat is cut from Memory Box Glossy Black cardstock.

He’s so cute!  A red glitter cardstock, sparkly scarf! I colored his nose with an orange Copic marker, his eyes with a black Glossy Sakura Gel Pen.

The scene panel is A2 size but I put it on a larger cardbase so it’d have a border around.  It will fit into an A7 size envelope.

Linking to challenges…

Christmas With the Cuties – Anything Cute and Christmas

The Holly and the Ivy – Anything Christmas Goes

Simon Says Stamp October Release!

NEW! NEW! NEW!  Welcome to my blog post today introducing a new stamp from the Simon Says Stamp Cozy Hugs Release.

When this stamp came in the mail… I was stunned with the size but loved the bold print of it and challenged with what I would do!

So I put it in the MISTI and started inking with Lawn Fawn Ink Cubes, Lobster and Artichoke.  I tore some scrap paper squares to kinda mask off but finally just ended up wiping off if I got ink where I didn’t want it.

I LOVE it! ❤

Fortunately I thought to snap a phone picture before I chopped it in half! (sorry it’s blurry, ugh, I only took one)

It’s just everything traditional Christmas to me! lol

I used a wide ruler to try to decide WHERE to cut it in half…finally realized there was no rhyme nor reason to where!

I ended up with two Mini Slimline size cards.

This one I just stamped a sentiment right over the design. Happy Christmas from the SSS Inside Christmas Greetings stamp set.

The second I tried gold heat embossing directly on the design but it didn’t show up as well as I thought it would.

I heat embossed a piece of vellum and positioned it directly over the direct to card embossed sentiment.

Now I wonder if I shouldn’t have added some gems or something but you know me… I err on the side of clean and simple!

Are you looking forward to Christmas creating or have you already started?  This release has some wonderful things in it!

Tired to catch the gold embossing in the picture a little better.

I had fun making these!

I hope you’ll check out the new release.  Thank you for clicking from my blog…if you click from somewhere else but want me to get credit, be sure to come back to my blog and click again.  I appreciate it so much and thank you from the bottom of my cardmaking loving heart! ❤

Memory Box Poinsettia Watercolor Floral and Curled Script Video…

Hi everyone!  Look at these beautiful NEW dies!  I love the Curled Script dies and I have a video below to show you how I’m using them… WITHOUT GLUE!

This poinsettia!  SO GORGEOUS!  Memory Box illustrator Dave designs the most beautiful florals all year but I’m always so happy to see the NEW poinsettias every year! I LOVE this one too!

I kept my card clean and white so the designs would pop! White is so ‘Winter’! lol  For us that live in snow country anyway! lol

Again I used the envelope cover picture to put the poinsettia together.  It looks hard!  I even thought, oh, this looks hard!  IT IS NOT HARD AT ALL!  Yay!  I meant to show this in the video but I forgot. ugh

Just lay the largest piece on the envelope cover and layer up with a bit of glue and boom! it’s done!

LOOK at the detail!

Yes I sharpened the photo but it’s so much more beautiful in person!

The holly die… oh yes!  It’s NEW from poppystamps!  It’s called Layered Holly Branch… this die is going to be a staple in the stash! I love it!  I love holly anyway. lol  Tim and I got married in December and we had holly on all the pews and in the floral arrangements… oh, it was pretty and timeless!

I have to tell you….I have turned over a new leaf this year so to speak.  I’m am so bad about not finishing the inside of the card and stamping my name on the back.  So when it’s time to send, I’m hurrying to get cards in the mail… well, so far this year with Christmas cards, I have stamped the inside and my name on the back!  I’m shocking myself! lol  Kinda late for New Year resolutions. hoho

A2 size card…

ok – here’s my video on adhering this type of die…email me if you have any questions. Click on it to see it large.

Thank you so much for coming to see my card.  I hope you’ll try this method and let me know how it goes!

The WINNER IS…. NEW Memory Box Gloriette Snowflake Collage Card

Congratulations Nancee!  Email me your address and I’ll get this in the mail to you! ❤

So a month or so ago, on a Saturday afternoon, I made a bunch of backgrounds on watercolor paper following Jill Foster’s tutorial video!  It was so much fun!  I ended up with 35 pieces this size!!!  I know, you’re laughing at me but it was so fun!  I’m using two for the first time today!  I need to use them so I can make some more!

The New Memory Box Gloriette Snowflake Collage die is great fun too!  Just wow, so many variations you can come up with using the two dies that come in this envelope!

Top picture is what I did first, then I had leftover pieces and instead of making another card at the time I glued them together and made another snowflake which could be a tree ornament or a tag but to show you how it looks on a card I took a picture of it inserted into this card!

Really pretty both ways!  I love this set!

So then I needed to fill in a little bit so I die cut the NEW Memory Box Starburst Snowflake Discs and just used the snowflakes from the cuts and glued them directly to the card front.

What’s a card without words?  Is it still a card? hoho  I wanted words so I die cut the NEW Memory Box Merry Christmas Curled Script die three times and glued them together.  I love it!  I love that the dot for the i is on the flourish of the capital M!  I’m always losing those little dots!   I lost an exclamation mark clear stamp this week.  So crazy! lol

I’m really tickled that I actually stamped inside this card and even stamped the back with my name stamp!  Normally I wait until the last minute then I’m hurrying but I wanted to use this NEW Memory Box Sweet Christmas stamp set because it matches the font of the Merry Christmas die on the front!  It’s a beautiful sentiment set!  I always love a match too!

See?  Isn’t that pretty! Many more to choose from too.

ok – I’m gonna quit talking now and get links made and try to get out of the house for a bit this afternoon!  It’s so beautiful out! Sun is shining and I love the cooler temps!  🙂

Have a beautiful weekend and enjoy Cardmaking day tomorrow or whatever it’s called. hehe
