Spellbinders Lolli & Grace Festive Santa Felt Ornament…

Hi cardmakers and friends! It’s a Jolly old St. Nick appearing today on the blog! Once again I had an idea and tried to make it different than the picture on the packaging! lol

I wanted to try out some darker, muted type colors. It was fun!

There’s a video tutorial on how to do everything. Anne Oliver is very good and thorough. HERE it is.

Anne recommends using Dina Wakley Media Glue but I didn’t have any and used Nuvo and it works fine too.

It was weird taking pictures…they kept looking like I didn’t line up the backer with the top santa! So I took a picture of the boots to prove that I really did line everything up correctly! lol I really love the beads on his boots…they look so old fashioned!

Spellbinders has felt kits for these ornament sets and beads and needles and everything you’d need!

Since I was doing different colors I used felt I already own from Taylored Expressions and I ordered some from Poshta Design too. I still have the snow people to make up so I’ll use more colors for them.

Unity Stamp Co Mouse on a Merry Mission and Where Christmas Lives Card…

Hi everyone! I don’t know how the illustrators make mice so cute but the sets from Unity Stamp Co. are so adorable I couldn’t resist! They remind me of children’s books I guess and I have always loved books! Almost every Saturday morning I was standing on the corner waiting for the city bus to take me uptown to the library. My mom didn’t drive! We rode the bus a lot even across the river to an even bigger city! A whole different era for sure.

I couldn’t get the sparkle to show in my other pictures so I had to do this one using light in my stamp room.

I stamped the house from the ‘Where Christmas Lives’ set on a watercolor panel, colored it with Distress watercolor pencils and regular watercolor pencils. The mouse on another piece of watercolor paper and colored the same way. Inspired by Lisa Arana, Dahlhouse Designs blog.

I made myself get the sewing machine out. Stitched with the thread Cindy @ starlitstudio.net sells. I’ll link below.

Layered the panel with thin mounting squares onto a dark red cardbase… Not quite A7 size but I’ll send in an A7 size envelope for one forever postage stamp.

Die cut the MB Holly Double Arch die because a card has to have holly this time of year! hoho I die cut both dies in red and green. Cut the berried off the green and glue on top of the red. Easy way to get berries without fiddling with little circles. YAY!

The Holly Double Arch die appears to be discontinued. Here’s some other dies that I think would work… HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

Memory Box Snowman and Birdie Friend Card…

Welcome to snowman season! Fortunately no snow here yet but it is cooling off fast! eek! I would like to officially request several more 67 – 70˚ weather days with no wind! hahahahahahahaha

Winter is nice on paper! hoho

This totally charming snowman is new from Memory Box, ‘Snowman and Birdie Friend’. So cute!

Die cut in white cardstock, Copic colored R46, YG17 and a little bit of R89 on the birdie’s wing.

White dots with white gel pen.

I used the tree dies from the Memory Box ‘Log Cabin Scene’ die set.

Sentiments from the NEW Memory Box ‘Christmas Wonder’ stamp set.

Frame and flakes from the Lawn Fawn Winter Wonderland Window die set.

I remembered to take a picture of the inside! yay!

I’m off to choir practice this afternoon. I play the piano for a children’s choir. It’s fun to be around a lively bunch of 8 – 12 year olds! They sing hard songs and I have to practice too! Makes me wonder how many of my blog readers are pianists too?!

Spellbinders Lolli & Grace Festive Felt Collection…

Hi everyone! Not a card today but it could be! I made a felt ornament but it would be a beautiful gift card holder also!

The Lolli & Grace Festive Stocking is my first installation of the Lolli & Grace Felt Collection NEW from Spellbinders!

Spellbinders has a video HERE that is very helpful to make this an easy felt creation! They recommend gluing the pieces to a base piece then stitching on the sequins and beads.

Spellbinders thought of everything! They have the felt, glue, needles, sequins, beads, felt and floss! I’ll link them below.

5 ½ inches long on the toe side. 4 ¼ inches wide at the toe. Good size!

I went with traditional colors but the one in the video is non-traditional colors and very retro looking to me! I’m going to have to try it in some other colors too! hohoho

A very close up photo…for some reason today’s pictures turned out really nice! WHEW! It’s so nice when that happens and I don’t waste a whole day trying to get good pictures! After you spend so much time making a card or whatever, you want it to look it’s best! lol

Happy day! I love Christmas colors!

The next installations will be a snowlady, a snowman and a santa!

One thing I did different than the video… She die cuts two of the back piece. I only cut one. I did the stitching before I glued on the back piece. I think it’s plenty sturdy but I suppose it would depend on how thick your felt is.

Spellbinders and Simple Stories: 3 Cards and 2 Tags!

Hello and happy first day of October 2026! Hard to believe! This year has flown by!

A few Christmas cards and tags to share today.

This first card is:

Spellbinders Old Fashioned Christmas Stocking Die Set
Simple Stories 6×8 Simple Vintage Old-Fashioned Christmas Paper Pad
Spellbinders Nested Postage Labels & Tag Die Set
Simple Stories 4×6 Simple Vintage Old-Fashioned Christmas Stamp and Die Sets

I die cut the background panel, the panel inside the postage frame, stocking, pine branches, holly, berries and the cut apart all from the paper pad. The postage frame and poinsettia are from white cardstock.

The sentiment ‘naughty or nice’ and Merry Christmas inside are from the Simple Vintage Old-Fashioned Christmas stamp set.

The next two cards are framed with the same postage die set die cut in white and I used panels from one of the cut apart pages of the same paper pad.

The ornament on the comfort & joy card is from the same stamp set. Stamped in dark green, die cut with coordinating dies and added a teeny 1/16th inch brad in the loop.

A scrap of one of the paper pad papers and some Mayarts twine and a heart button.

I love how they all turned out! This is a great size paper pad to work with for cards.

The top card is probably going to take an A7 envelope. It’s 4 ¾ in x 6 in. The other two cards are A2 size.
