Memory Box Lumi Bird in Evergreen Holly Card…

Hi cardmakers and friends! Working on Christmas cards again. I need to be working on some birthday cards though…three for family this week! I can’t believe it’s this late in September already!

I had a hard time capturing this card in photos so there’s only two! I took a million trying to get the green right. This is close but it’s so much better in real life! lol The story of my life! lol

Memory Box dies…Lumi Bird die cut in natural white cardstock and inked with gathered twigs distress ink.

Evergreen Holly Bundle die cut in green and inked with green distress ink.

Warm Wishes Stylish Script die cut in black and plaid.

Jolly Christmas 6×6 paper pad.

I made a mask with the largest oval from the poppystamps ovals die set and ink blended the oval behind the die cuts.

Inside I stamped sentiments from the Birch Press Design clear stamp set Glad Tidings. Such a beautiful set! Find it at starlitstudio.net HERE 75% off!!!!!

My card is A7 size. I used 80# cardstock to keep it at one forever stamp weight. I’m really liking this size this year.

A Festive Christmas Harvest Basket Card…

Hello everyone! I have some new dies to make cards with thanks to Cindy @ StarLitStudio.net! I spent the day yesterday playing!

It’s so fun to work with dies with soooooo much good detail! Just die cut the Harvest Basket die and ink it with brown ink. I used Hobby Lobby heavyweight kraft cardstock and Gathered Twigs Distress ink to make the details come to life!

Good News! This release the dies are separate again the way I like them! Not clumped together in one piece! YAY!

I die cut the Evergreen Holly Bundle in a couple colors of green cardstocks, inked with Distress inks and glued it together pretty much like the package front! I cut a few extra pine branches to tuck in here and there. Distress stickles and Rock Candy Glitter for the snowy look.

Die cut in two colors….cut the berries off the green die cuts and glue the stems to the white or red die cut!

Then I made up the NEW poppy Satin Ribbon die in gold cardstock but it was too much for this so I die cut again and just used two of the loops and two of the tails!

I wanted to bring in some red so I made up the NEW Fresh Poinsettia Bundle. I made all three but I only used two. I think the other could’ve been worked in easy enough though.

I die cut a Memory Box cardstock Deep Turquoise panel, stamped the sentiment from the NEW Christmas Wonder stamp set in the MISTI and then matted it on an A7 – 5 x7 cardbase.

I just added a couple red berries to the holly leaves at the bottom left of the basket. Too bad I didn’t think of that before pictures!

Oh such pretty designs to work with! I love this green and red season! So festive!

Holler if you have any questions…pretty straight forward die cut, glue em up card! lol I like following the pictures on the front of the packaging, saves time!

Memory Box Backyard Wren JOY Postage Card…

Hi everyone! A little Christmas spirit here thanks to the inspiration of Donna Mikasa! You can see her card on her blog HERE and on Instagram HERE.

Die cutting and ink blending with Distress Vintage Photo for the wren. Assemble it going by the indentations the die leaves on the pieces makes it really easy! YAY!

I die cut a Lawn Fawn Postage Rectangle Stackables in the largest size in white Hammermill 100# Color Copy Cover cardstock. Then I embossed it with Simon Says Stamp Vine Canopy embossing folder. It’s so pretty!

The holly is from the Spellbinders Christmas Cracker die set. I cut the holly leaves off the stem. The pine branch is from Impression Obsession, no longer available.

I used a green A2 size cardbase, adhered the embossed panel to the front.

The JOY sentiment is a die from Savvy stamps, no longer available but possibly another company has something similar! I glued together three red JOYs. I like that look so much. I glued it in the upper right corner to give the ‘feel’ of the forever words or the cent amount.

The wren is adhered with the thin foam mounting tape I like…linked below. The branches, berries and holly are glued directly to the card panel. Allow room when you’re applying the mount tape to the back of the wren so you can stick stuff under easily.

Inside I die cut another white postage panel and stamped a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp set linked below.

poppystamps Cottage Terrarium Card…

Hello everyone! I went a little Fall-ish today for this card. Pulled out a couple dies I hadn’t used yet and some Fall pattern papers.

This card reminds me of the fairy garden trend. The little house invites you in to imagine what could be living in there! lol

Basic die cutting and gluing. I die cut in white cardstock and ink blended the colors on with Distress inks and mini ink blending tools.

This is a little larger than an A2 size card. I will probably use an A6 or A7 envelope to mail it in.

Garden Pail Bouquet goes Patriotic! 2 cards…

Hi everyone! A friend was showing me some patriotic ideas and it got my brain to working! I thought, why not use some products I already own! So let’s see what you can come up with too!

I used this set HERE when it first came out. I loved how this card turned out!

So change it up to patriotic colors! After all it’s a celebratory year for the USA! Happy Birthday!

I basically just die cut and glued it up like the picture on the die envelope. I added some splattering and white pen…I had a terrible time deciding whether to add the pen lines!

I used the Happy Birthday from the poppystamps Modest Greetings 1 Foil and cut die set…silver foil. The rectangle die comes with it…nice…no scrounging around for the right size rectangle to die cut it!

I used the Spellbinders Nested Postage Labels and Tag die set for the blue and white background panels.

It’s like a sixteenth of an inch larger (on each side) than an A2 size card. I used the super thin mounting tape I like so well so it’ll still post for one forever stamp.

The way this die set is made I ended up with some extra flowers… so I made a clean and simple A2 size card also!

I used the Memory Box Posh Hello hot foil plate in the betterpress letterpress with black ink instead of foiling it! It worked!

The red panel is cut with the Spellbinders postage die set I used above and the tiny scallop border is from poppystamps Scalloped Stitch Frames.

I loved how simply charming it turned out.

When you need a quick note or make it for any occasion in any color!
