Waffleflower Postage Collage A7 Size Fishing Birthday Cards…

Hi everyone!  Here’s two more cards in the birthday series postage cards I’ve been making!

My husband is a big fisherman and he’s hooked several of our grandsons on fishing!  So I got out my stash of fishing products and used part of them on these cards.

One grandson just celebrated his HAPPY 16th birthday.  The big drivers license one!  YAY!  The other one celebrated his 17th birthday.  We make a little bit bigger deal out of the 16th birthdays because it’s some what of a landmark so they get more cash for it. lol

I’m going to link up the products that are available in stores below.

Better At the Lake is a die from Impressions Obsession, DIE701-F.  Maybe you can find it in the FB sale groups or on eBay.

The fishing stamps are from a stamp set by Marcella Hawley, Flourishes Stamps.  It says 2011 on the label.  I searched her name and found her website now…some digital images HERE.

The fishing pole is from a die set that I saw someone else use.  The packaging says Globeland Fishing Em….  It’s been so long ago, I don’t remember where I bought it.  I’ll link to one below but just know it’s not the one I used but it would probably work…maybe even better!

The cards just didn’t quite look finished so I had to make a bobber for the end of the line!  I LOVE that touch of red!  I made it with punches and the little hook is from a Karen Burniston set that I’ll link below.

The Every Day sentiment is from a Karen Burniston set also, it’ll be below.

An A7 Hammermill Color copy 100# Cover for the white cardbase and the white postage collage die cut.

I die cut the A7 Postage Collage Block die in black and in white.  I used the shapes from the white to stamp and ink on and the frame from the black for the mat layer.

Linking to the following card challenges…

Pick 3 #6 – frame, ink blending and sentiment

Inkspirational #371 – Summer Vibe

Waffleflower Postage Collage Masculine Card…

Hello everyone! I’m having fun making postage cards!  We’ll just call it a birthday series! lol  One thing about it, the investment in all of it will be worth it by the time I make a zillion cards with it all!

This one is A2 size.  I used the A2 Postage Collage Die, the matching Postage Collage Blocks Die, the Postage Collage stamp set and the Postage Collage Dad Stencil set.

I used Distress Dye Ink pads and detail brushes for inking the stencils.

There are two different stencil sets for inking the backgrounds.  I’m linking both up below but for this card I didn’t need to use either of them.  I bought the set called Coloring Stencils, it has the stencil to make a solid background (which you can buy just that one) but I wanted the one that did circles, stripes and the airmail border too!!!

The stamping I did with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I think I used a woodblock stamp for the Happy Birthday sentiment.

I like to do stenciling with the Wendy Vecchi Make Art Stay-tion… I’ll link it below.

Linking to some card challenges!

Allsorts #853 –  stencils

Stencil Fun July 2026 – anything goes as long as you use stencils, optional patterns (I used stencils)

Addicted To Stamps and More -die cuts and/or stencils  (I used both)

NBUS #88 – Mutual Appreciation Celebration!  (NBUS – Dad Stencil set)

Inkspirational #371 Summer vibe and inspiration photo

Tic Tac Toe #296 – with a crafty twist!  (Summer colors/diecut/layers)

Thank you so much for stopping by and holler if you have any questions!

Spellbinders NEW Windmills and Tulips Card…

Hello everyone! A fun traditional sort of card to share with you today!  Coloring the easy way!

A new release, Yana’s Tulips from Spellbinders.  I’m using the NEW Betterpress plate and stencils for coloring!

I ran the plate through the die cut machine with the  Betterpress  Windmills and Tulips plate inked with the  black Betterpress ink pad.

Then I colored using the coordinating stencils, Distress ink pads and mini ink blending tools. So easy and FUN!

I like to use the Wendy Vecchi Make Art Station for stenciling.

I hoped the letterpress look would show in my photos.  You’ll have to trust me that it really is letterpress! lol

I used an old SB die set to die cut the panel.  I thought it was still in the store but I don’t see it to link to.

The sentiment I used is from Yana’s Special Sentiments Glimmer set but I did it with the Betterpress system and black ink instead of foil.

I added a little gingham bow.

It’s an A6 size card because I wanted some white border.  It will still mail for one forever stamp.

We live in a Dutch heritage area so this card should be a hit!  Tulip time is coming!

I’m linking my card to some card challenges…

Four Seasons March 2026 –  Spring!

Beautiful Blossoms #39 – Anything floral goes

Triple B – Blooms

Stencil Fun – use stencils  (I used a coloring layering set to color this)

MFT Snowman Kit Card…

Hi everyone!  The sun is shining and I decided I better get another card posted before the week gets away from me!

Winter just seems like a good time to get out some things I haven’t used yet.  I was inspired by a card Kay Miller sent me a few years ago. So fun!

Hopefully some of you have this kit lurking in your stash too and you’ll be inspired to find it and use it!

I tell you it took me longer to find the almost circle die and decide what sentiment than it took to make the card!  Oh, I couldn’t find the star background either but I knew I had one!  Now it’s been long enough since I made this that I can’t remember what I used!

I sure like these colors together!  The background is one of the Jill Foster watercolor backgrounds I made following her distress ink watercolor background video.  I still have a dz or so to use before I do it again!

I heat embossed the star background with white embossing powder.

So fun and I even stamped on the inside!  It’s a miracle! lol

I love this sentiment set from Penny Black Brighten the World.

Linking my card to some challenges…

MFT Card Challenges – a sketch (I know, I’m stretching it but hey it’s exposure!)

The Neglected Stuff February 2026 –  old and neglected stuff.  I used a My Favorite Things card kit from several years ago!

The 12 Months of Christmas – anything goes Christmas with optional twist of cozy cocoa Christmas

Group of Cardmakers –  layered scene cards

The Four Seasons –  anything goes Winter

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Happy February to you!

Simon Says Stamp Favorite Things Release…

Hi everyone!  Simon Says Stamp sent me this delightful stamp set to play with for this release!  It’s a big set… 6 x 8!  So I set to work!

Using the Tim Holtz Framed Tags set I die cut tags in kraft and white cardstocks.

I made a little box to hold something a treat or in this case a little box of washi tape postage stickers.  I scored two tags two inches from the bottom, folded and taped together to make this little tent box.

I stamped the bunny in PottingSoil Archival ink, then colored it in with color pencils.

I stamped the Happy Easter in white pigment ink and then pink distress oxide over the top.  I used a couple pinks.  It’s so great you can stamp over the top if you’re not happy when you use the MISTI.

OH, and I got out the old eyelet stash! Some cord tied the two tags together and it was finished!  I love it! haha

Then I made more tags….

I know the bunnies look black but it’s still the Potting Soil (brown) ink pad.

I stamped the small tag with flowers in white and then color penciled over the top.

I stamped some of the foliage stamps around the images on the tags and the box tent.  The grass on the big tag is drawn on with a color pencil.

I love how they turned out!

ok – for some white tags…

Same stamp set!  I stamped the eggs, leaves and Spring Blessings sentiment in Distress Oxide inks. Greetings and the floral images in Versafine Black ink.  Then ink blended over the florals on the medium size tag.  Be sure you let the black ink dry!  I had a little smearing.

Then I tied them together!  Fun!

Holler if you have any questions and enjoy shopping the release!  I’ll put links below and I’ll thank you now for clicking from my blog if you do!  I appreciate it!
