Spellbinders and Memory Box Autumn Card…

Hi everyone! We’re happier here now that the sun is shining again! Cool temperatures too!  YAY!

I shopped the Spellbinders warehouse sale a couple weeks ago and picked up this Autumn Thanks Frame Press Plate. (It’s still on sale! link below)  I inked it in the black ink that comes with the Betterpress and used Hobby Lobby brand watercolor paper.  It worked great!

I have an old set of 84 Caran d’Ache watercolor crayons that are still basically brand new so I set to watercoloring after pressing.  It worked so easy.  I followed the coloring of a card Spellbinders is showing on the shopping page for this press plate. Yes, I’m a copycat.  If someone has done something I really like, I figure why invent the wheel! haha   I imagine they used Distress watercolor pencils so I’ll link those up too.  I only have set 5 which isn’t any of the colors I wanted to use for this card.

poppystamps Happy Fall Moonlight Script die for the sentiment.  I die cut from watercolored paper.

I was looking through a bin of layered sticker type packages and lo and behold I found an old pkg of K & Company Fall stickers with the perfect leaf and acorns to go on this card!  By old I mean over 20 years old!  I was sure tickled to use something from the stash.  I hate to admit this but I tend to hoard cool stuff.  I might need it some day for the ultimate project! haha  I’m proud of myself for using them anyway!

This is an A2 size card. It was fun to color!

poppystamps Cottage Terrarium Card…

Hello everyone!  I went a little Fall-ish today for this card.  Pulled out a couple dies I hadn’t used yet and some Fall pattern papers.

This card reminds me of the fairy garden trend.  The little house invites you in to imagine what could be living in there! lol

Basic die cutting and gluing.  I die cut in white cardstock and ink blended the colors on with Distress inks and mini ink blending tools.

This is a little larger than an A2 size card.  I will probably use an A6 or A7 envelope to mail it in.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Have a lovely weekend and keep making! (collecting ideas and products) hoho!

Memory Box Garden Pail Bouquet Card…

Hello everyone! Have you seen this new die set from Memory Box?  Well, it’s not the latest release but it wasn’t that long ago!

Just something about pails with flowers…I’m kinda envious of gals with flower gardens that can go pick whenever they want too.  I’m not envious of the work involved though!  So it’s paper flowers for me!

Funny story for you…. I decided to die cut the flowers in white and Copic color them so I grabbed a scrap of white from my white scrap bag.  Put it down on the dies  and when I took the flowers out of the die, I saw the print on there! lol   I almost threw the pieces away but then I thought, I should just use these for fun!   I probably could never do this on purpose and like it! lol

It really wasn’t hard because the pieces are grouped well!  Here’s a picture of what the dies look like and then three pictures of the cuts.  I did cut  the two floral dies twice but you don’t need to.

I went by the picture on the package on how to put the flowers together and how to arrange them on the card.  Most are just two pieces!

I did some inking with brushes on the pail and then some black spattering.  Inking on the leaves also.

I colored the flowers with Copics but you could use any medium.

I used a little of my favorite thin mounting tape on the main flowers for the arrangement.

Then I just cut a black cardstock panel 4 inches x 5 ¼ inches and using my score-pal, scored all fours sides in ¼ inch.  I love how the pail and flowers stand out against black!

OH, I didn’t have room for a big sentiment even though I wanted to use one.  I used one of the Happy Birthday Foil Greetings Black Tabs.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope this card makes you smile and inspires you to make something too!

Simon Says Stamp… STAMPtember!!!

Hi everyone!  Back to stamping and color pencil coloring. Fall images are so fun to color!  Bring on the brown, orange, green and gold!

I used the NEW Pumpkin Blessings stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and the STAMPtember release.  I said this on my last SSS post and here I am saying it again.  I love how Simon Says Stamp stamps stamp!  I used the MISTI.  Stamping is so sharp/crisp!

There are dies to go with the stamp set and they’re detabbed!  I don’t have them but you have the choice to order the combo or the stamps just by themself.

I used a Simon Says Stamp embossing folder, Margot Tile.  Then just a light touch of ink blending over it with Gathered Twigs Distress ink.

Several options for sentiments in the set!

Have you checked out the release?  AND everyday there is a new release of collaborations!  So fun!  What do you think?  I’ve ordered one day so far but the temptation! lol

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!

poppystamps and Memory Box Fall Forest Card…

Happy Fall y’all! It’s right before Freezin’ Season!

I was flipping through the NEW Nutmeg Forest 6×6 paper pad and saw this piece!  I hated to cover it up but I did put a solid oval under the die cuts.  I could’ve made a bigger card so more would show!

I die cut everything and colored it with ink or copics.  Little white dots with acrylic white paint and the small end of an embossing sytlus.

A lot of whimsy in the release this time.  Birds, flowers, mushrooms and so much more!  Lots of Christmas!  I’ll link up what I used below if you want to check out the dies!  No stamping on this A2 size card.
