Hi everyone! Here I am with inky fingers, posting a card and the two winners of the NEW Memory Box Stitched Oval Layers Die sets! YAY!
I used some Hobby Lobby watercolor paper, Distress inks, Wilted Violet and Peacock Feathers. Brushed on some water, brushed on some color, dried with the heat tool but…don’t try to pick off any black marks! That’s what happened in the bottom right dark violet area. Silly me, just leave it alone! When you try to remove, it makes it white! So then, you add more color and the paper pills up, so then, you have a mess and end up darker and remembering again why you should just leave well enough alone!!! Will I ever learn?! Rolling my eyes at myself! : )
I decided to post it anyway…running out of daylight (for photos) so no starting over and I wanted to post the winners!
I spritzed some pearl spray into the drops of Distress ink refills but it’s hard to see it in the pictures. boo. It’s really a nice touch though. The green leaves are Twisted Citron Distress ink. There was a time in my life when I would’ve never put these colors together! WOW! I’ve changed! lol
Die cut the Susanna Blossom, emboss it, leave it in the die, flip it over and ink it with Wilted Violet Distress ink and the ink blending tool. I spritzed it a little with the pearl spray too but be careful cuz it moves easy! You don’t want too much. (I had to do it twice) lol
The ‘happy spring’ sentiment is from the Springtime Bunnies stamp set. There is also a ‘thinking of you’ in the set and it would work nicely also. I’ll link you up to everything below.
SO…..DRUMROLL or Cymbals…you pick… haha
THE WINNERS ARE… #38 Linda Pearce and #42 AnnieC! Congratulations gals! I will email you. I’ll need your snail mail address. Happy die cutting to you!
Thanks so much everyone for commenting and following my blog! I love coming here and showing you what I’ve been up to! If you could see my email inbox, you’d know I love seeing what you all are up to too! lol
Have a great rest of the week and weekend! ttul!
