Hi everyone! I’m here to show you what I did with the new Outline Merry Christmas Background cling stamp from Simon Says Stamp’s new Holly Jolly release. Check out the new Distress Ink color while you’re there!
I cut a panel of red cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼ in. and white heat embossed the new stamp on it.
Layered it on black cardstock and then on a white A2 cardbase.
I die cut SSS Big Joy die from white cardstock and adhered it to the panel with foam mounting tape.
Then I die cut the SSS Picture Book Deer from kraft cardstock, the scarf from red, and chest from white. I edged everything with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and a mini ink blending tool.
His eyes and nose are a black Sakura Glaze Pen. The x’s on the scarf are with a white pen.
I die cut the little holly leaves from the Memory Box Holly Double Arch die.
He’s so cute! Such Personality! This background die is fun… lots of possibilities as you’ll see from other cardmakers!
Thank you for stopping by! I appreciate it! ❤

Hi cardmakers and friends. I have a fairly simple card to share with you… well, I kept adding things! lol
Today is the new release at Simon Says Stamp… it’s festive and Christmasy for the most part! I’ll link you up below to what I used.
The new stamp they sent me to show is the background here, Leaves and Berries Cling Mount Stamp.
I gold heat embossed it and then blended on 3 colors of Distress Oxide Ink. Spiced Marmalade, Twisted Citron and Shaded Lilac. Weird… the Lilac kinda wiped of when I went over it to get the ink off the heat embossed gold. I barely used any lilac though… good thing! haha I spattered with water drops using the Tim Holtz mister water bottle.
Then I just painted in the leaves and berries with the Gansai Tambi watercolors that I still had out on my desk. Oh, I stamped on Strathmore 400/Best the brown pad of watercolor paper.
I die cut the panel with SSS Stitched Rectangles.
I embossed in Ranger Detail gold, the background and the sentiment. ‘Thankful for you’ is from the SSS Autumn Greetings clear stamp set.
I used three small circle cuts from the New Memory Box Stylish Frame Trio die set. I die cut them in TE Premium cardstock, links below, Candy Corn, Granny Smith and Peapod.
I die cut leaves from the cardstocks too using the New poppystamps Autumn Leaf Set. Then I added some small enamel dots.
And that’s it!
Check out the new release! I’ll link below in the linkdeli links below, the first one. I’m not sure the links in my written post work so I’ll try this.
Thank you for stopping by!
