Hi everyone! I hope you’re enjoying some nice days where you are! The trees are budding and the grass is green!
I started today by cutting this new Leafy Vines Slim Plate in black…scrapped that. lol I die cut it in TE Toffee and colored the leaves quick with a Copic Sketch YG17 marker. Then I inked the rest with the mini blending tool and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink pad. My go to brown for edging with ink.
Then I die cut a white cardstock panel with one of the New Memory Box Slim Basic Rectangle Layer dies. Using the light blue TE blending brush and Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass ink I brushed in the sky on this white panel. I really like the look of some white space.
I die cut the poppystamps Whittle Birds from white cardstock and inked them with the red TE blending brush. I didn’t add more ink, it already had oxide ink on it.
Then back to Gathered Twigs Distress ink and the mini blending tool for the rest of the bird. I did the underside with a little brown too.
A black ink pen for the dot in the eyes.
The sentiment I used is from the poppystamps Springtime Fun clear stamp set. It’s a beautiful sentiment but I cut it up for this card! It fits back together though. Don’t panic! ❤ You can almost hear the birds singing!
I heat embossed with VersaMark Ink and Lawn Fawn White Embossing powder on TE Oreo/black cardstock.
I had no idea what I was going to come out with when I started this card! I guess that’s pretty normal for me. lol I’m really happy with it! I love it when I get a surprise like that! ❤
I hope you’ve had some time to be creative with paper and ink or out in the dirt! hehe
Thank you for stopping by! Keep me in your prayers… tomorrow was Breanna’s birthday. My mom heart is weepy. sigh. Almost 6 months since she died. I appreciate it! ❤
Here’s the products I used for this card…
