Memory Box Winter Sled Scene…

Pam Sparks Large Sled Front

So many wonderful stamps, tools, papers and ink…I just had to make another card…even though I have 5 I haven’t posted yet!  Crazy! lol

I’ve been wanting a sled die for years….so happy to have two sizes from Memory Box this year!  I used the small one HERE.  Then the awesome NEW sentiment from MB too.. love this one and the tree dies…and the snowfall background die…the perfect elements for a scene.  I better not forget the Holly die!  I added some white gel pen to the berries and flowers.

I made the bow with 3/16th narrow ribbon and a fork.  Google for a You Tube video, there are several!

Pam Sparks Large Sled Side

I die cut the sled 5 times.  You wouldn’t need to but I wanted two layers beneath for dimension.  So I cut two layers of black, glued them together, then one metallic silver layer glued to the black, then a red cut, I trimmed away everything to just have the steering bar and then a woodgrain cut that I trimmed to just have the boards.  I used a silver gel pen between the boards to mimic the silver base.

The background color is Stormy Sky Distress ink, smooshed on and painted on.  Then some White Frantage melted on because you can never have too much snow! haha

Oh the snowbank is from then Dashing Through the Snow die.  I’ll link everything up below.

Thanks for stopping by! The sun is shining here…yay!  ttul!

Have you seen the new Earth Color Bursts?  This was the first time I’d used these watercolor powders! Cindy/SLS has them in stock HERE.  I painted water over the embossed images and ‘poofed’ on a little powder or I should say I just shook the bottle a little. I did end up moving the color some with a paintbrush.

On this card I used the NEW Cornucopia and Happy Thanksgiving stamps, HERE. I stamped in Ranger Archival Coffee Ink and watercolored with Distress Markers, HERE.

I die cut a Geo Fragment die, HERE in the card front and embellished with a wood leaf.

Perfect Paper Crafting and Art Impressions Blog Hop…

ChamPPCAiHop

Hi everyone! I have a card to share here and a card on the PPC blog today. There’s a blog hop happening there this week!

PamSparksAIShoppes700

What a fun set to color!  I love these Try” folds stamp sets form Art Impressions!  The one I used for my card is Shoppes TF-4339.

I stamped with Ranger Archival Black Ink on watercolor paper and colored with Distress Markers.  I add color to an area and move it around with a paintbrush and water.  Love how easy it is and that I’m happy in the end! lol

I didn’t do the try fold for my card… I just turned it into a scene by cutting and layering with 3D mounting squares.

Of course I had to mat the focal piece with my 1/16th inch Perfect Layer Tools… I will never quit using them! : ) They work so slick and what a time saver.  None of the back to the trimmer thing going on!  YAY!  Link to shop in the sidebar and don’t forget to use the coupon code for 10% off.

I don’t remember all the colors I used but you can’t go wrong with these stamps!  So much fun!  I have a few other sets too…thinking they could work up fun for Christmas!  You know…when you start getting tense as the holidays approach, you can always use a little color book therapy!  I know it’s good for me!

Now, if you would like to see the other card I made with Art Impressions, Chameleon Pens and Perfect Paper Crafting… hop over to the Perfect Paper Crafting blog HERE!  From there you can hop to the Art Impressions and Chameleon Pens blogs for chances to win prizes!

Thanks for stopping by today… if only we lived close enough we could run across the street for show and tell now and then!  Wouldn’t that be fun!  : )  Happy creating for Father’s Day.  I’m working on birthday cards for two of the grandsons also. Always cards to be made!  Take care!

Printworks – Happy Mother’s Day…

PamSparksPWBouquetMothersDay

A beautiful weekend to celebrate Mothers!  Wishing you all a wonderful day!  I used a NEW stamp from Printworks collection Fabulous Day 2015 release called Birthday Bouquet.

I love it colored up with Distress Marker watercoloring.  So easy… I stamped with Ranger Archival Black ink on Canson Cold Press watercolor paper then just add a line of marker and move the color with a wet paint brush, let it dry and add as many colors and layers as you like! I used Shaded Lilac, Picked Raspberry, Peeled Paint, Squeezed Lemonade, Abandoned Coral, Dusty Concord and Peacock Feathers markers.

PamSparksPWBouquetMayClose

I did cut the watercolor paper with a NEW die set from Memory Box Pinpoint Scalloped Circles.

I stamped Happy Mother’s Day with Versamark ink on Black card-stock and embossed it with Fine White embossing powder.

PamSparksPWBouquetInsideMay

On the inside I stamped A Family Blossoms with Versamark ink and embossed it with fine White embossing powder on black card-stock also.

Winnie & Walter Playdate #4…

I just had to make a card for this challenge!  Over on the Winnie & Walter blog there is a chance to design with their January release for one lucky winner!  oh, I love their stamps and dies, so here’s my entry!

I stamped again and only used one die!  I used my scissors and cut the stamped greenery and pinecones!  Happy stamper! lol

PamSparksW&WPeaceBirch650

I stamped the pine branch from the Winter Wonderland stamp set with Versafine green ink and the pine cones from the same set with Distress Gathered Twigs ink.  I inked the edges of the kraft A2 size card and stamped the berries with Gathered Twigs also.

I stamped the Into the Woods stamp with Distress Chipped Sapphire ink and spritzed with Tsukineko/Imagine Crafts Sparkle Spritz spray.

I used the Perfect Layers Rulers to cut the white mat for the tree stamp.

PamSparksW&WPeaceBirchClose

After I mounted the branches on foam squares to the card base, I glued on the die cut word Peace, I die cut it in white and inked it with Distress Gathered Twigs ink, then spritzed everything again with Sparkle and Frost Sprays.

I like it! yay!  Hope you had a fun day today!
