MFT Card Challenge and Winter Warmth Cards…

Pam Sparks MFT Challenge Hello Winter Warmth Flowers

Happy Hello to January 11th already! I wanted to play in the My Favorite Things Card Challenge this week…Sketch 262.

262

These fun flowers are from the Winter Warmth stamp and die set.  The Hello dies is from the Smart Phone die set.

Here’s a picture with a black background.  I couldn’t decide between the two! lol

Pam Sparks MFT Challenge Hello Winter Warmth Black

I stamped the flower die cuts with Colorbox Chalk inks in Pink Pastel, Rouge and Lime Pastel using the MISTI so I could stamp multiple times for solid coverage.  Love that!

Then I had to play with this stamp and die set some more and use the mittens and mug.

Pam Sparks MFT Mitten Mug Knit

These colors…so fun together! Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio Distress inks.

Going to link my mittens card to the Card Concept photo inspiration challenge. I was inspired by the mittens and the mug… and I would add it to the Clean and Layered category.

One more…

Pam Sparks MFT Mitten Mug postal

I masked the postal die cut and inked with Distress Inks…Peacock Feathers, Peeled Paint and Anitque Linen.  I know, weird combo. lol

A TIP for you…the more layers of colors you ink on the more reactive the ink is with water!  See how the blue shows through the green?!  Love that!

I used Distress markers for the lines on the mittens and snowflakes on the mug. White gel pen for the little dots and Dylusions White spray ink for the other dots. I used one of those Fantastix sticks for those.

The Stitched Oval is from the New Memory Box Stitched Ovals Layers die set.

EEK!  I better get this published before the challenge ends!  I will be back with the two winners of the giveaway in a day or two!  Thanks for commenting!

ttul!

  1. these are all gorgeous pam! i’m following you in the MFT challenge with a rush to beat the deadline too; challenging for a snail. 🙂 i LOVE all the colours you’ve used, especially the black/white/pink!! and those black enamel dots are the perfect embellishment!

  2. OH how beautiful all of these are! It’s so funny that we did the same challenge with the same stamp set! Great minds… you know! 🙂 The pink flowers are so striking on the black background! I love what you have done with the mittens and mugs! The detail on your mittens really steals the show! These are so fun!

  3. Hi Pam, these winter cards are sure winners. It’s cold and rainy here in WA, but seeing your mugs and mittens cards made me want to make a mug of delicious hot chocolate and feel warm and fuzzy in my tummy. Hee, hee! Love the pink flowers against the black and white. The dots really put the finishing touches on the pretty card. Oh, and I love how you layered the ink on the green and blue background…such cool colors. Beautiful job Pam!

  4. Love the black and white stripes and pink flowers Pam…so crisp…and of course the cup with mittens is adorable….told Cindy you sent me to her sale…and because of you I shop there all the time…wish she would get IO in her store, but she is continuing to grow and what a sweetie…you too…

  5. Great cards…love the pink against the black and white. We need those mittens down here in Florida….it’s freezing here tonight….will get up in the morning to degrees in the 20’s….brrrrr!!! Great post….thanks so much.

  6. Love your first card. Pink and black are a winning combo. Our stamp group this week are working with black and white and one color. Love the flowers on that first card as they are so striking. Am really getting hooked on those stitches. Looks great on the second card. Thanks for the heads up using the Distress Ink and putting on more. Will have to try that technique out, too. Thanks for all the inspiration as always!

  7. Wonderful cards- love your crisp pictures too! The backgrounds are great- love the white BG but the black looks great too. Happy New Year!

  8. LOVE all 3 of these cards — they’re just awesome! And layering the distress inks? Never done that before, gonna try it! Thanks for the inspiration!

  9. The pretty flowers just pop against that B&W background, don’t you love the Misti for getting those deep all over colors! Your winter wishes cards are cute and love the backgrounds for them too!

  10. Love your take on the sketch! The pink flowers are a nice contrast to the black and white stripes! And your mug cards are adorable–love how the mittens are holding the mug!

  11. Very ‘cool’. Horrible pun, I know. I didn’t get time to play with this set during Christmas. I need to get it out.

I love hearing from you! Thank YOU!
