Memory Box Winter Sled Scene…

Pam Sparks Large Sled Front

So many wonderful stamps, tools, papers and ink…I just had to make another card…even though I have 5 I haven’t posted yet!  Crazy! lol

I’ve been wanting a sled die for years….so happy to have two sizes from Memory Box this year!  I used the small one HERE.  Then the awesome NEW sentiment from MB too.. love this one and the tree dies…and the snowfall background die…the perfect elements for a scene.  I better not forget the Holly die!  I added some white gel pen to the berries and flowers.

I made the bow with 3/16th narrow ribbon and a fork.  Google for a You Tube video, there are several!

I die cut the sled 5 times.  You wouldn’t need to but I wanted two layers beneath for dimension.  So I cut two layers of black, glued them together, then one metallic silver layer glued to the black, then a red cut, I trimmed away everything to just have the steering bar and then a woodgrain cut that I trimmed to just have the boards.  I used a silver gel pen between the boards to mimic the silver base.

The background color is Stormy Sky Distress ink, smooshed on and painted on.  Then some White Frantage melted on because you can never have too much snow! haha

Oh the snowbank is from then Dashing Through the Snow die.  I’ll link everything up below.

Thanks for stopping by! The sun is shining here…yay!  ttul!

  1. Love both of these Pam…I see you did get the small sled…I just ordered them and had plan to use mine with snowman builder (stamp) with the window also…and also with the door die …I got those mugs confused with your previous sled design

  2. Love this – I think I need a sled to add to my collection of goodies – love your absolutely spectacular darling bow – I have seen it done with a fork, perfect embellishment. You have so much talent you could “share” some with us “less-talented” crafters. LOL

  3. Darling card, Pam! I won the large sled from Memory Box and now will have to order the smaller one because I like how you made your card. Really like the silver underneath the wooden slats. Very clever. Like one of the other ladies said, “It’s another Pam Masterpiece!” Will look forward to your other cards.

  4. Pam this is spectacular!! Makes me want to bundle up and head outside and down the hill! Loving your details with the sled…and oh the Frantage – just perfect Pam!! As always, you are so inspiring!!!

  5. I love the sled-brings back lots of memories!!! I got the most beautiful card in the mail yesterday-and it had a wonderful sled too!!! Thank you so much!!! Really brightened my day. I am still working on feeling a little better-I guess I really was pretty low on blood. I am now in the process of getting three iron infusions (just like getting blood-but iron-and it doesn’t take near as long). Hopefully-I will be good as new by the New Year!!!

  6. What a beautiful card! I love this wooden sled all decked out for the holidays. We used to have wooden sleds with metal rails when we were younger, they went fast (and were scary as I remember)! All of the details of your card are beautiful. I hope you have a wonderful holiday. 🙂 Thank you for sharing.

  7. I LOVE THIS CARD!!! About your fork bow…you can do the same thing using one of those comb like quilling tools if you have one and since they are wider than a fork, you will have more size options.

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

  8. Quit I say – quit it, quit it, quit it — you have sold me so many dies. Oh Pam — You really should have your own store again!!!!! Think of all the sales you are missing and that is just from me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. I love, love, love this card. The sled looks high quality with the added fork bow…not an easy task, but the results are stunning. Everything about this card is definitely a work of art and frame worthy as well! You nailed this White Christmastime! Just beautiful Pam!

  10. LOVE ALL OF THESE PAM…LOOKING FORWARD TO RECEIVING MY SLEDS…YEP HAD TO GET BOTH OF THEM…YOU MADE ME DO IT….

I love hearing from you! Thank YOU!
