Memory Box Poinsettia Circle Frame Card….

How’s the Christmas Spirit at your house? Y’all have your tree up? oh man, why don’t I have my tree up yet?! There’s a story there but you don’t want to hear it! funny, not funny! Tonight is the big Lighted Christmas parade. I think they moved it up a week thinking it’d be warmer…ha…it’s cold and after 17 inches of snow last weekend…we still have snow! It will be pretty anyway!

I left my pictures dark today hoping the red would capture better. I tried anyway! lol

I started out thinking a plain, tone on tone card but that glitter cardstock found it’s way onto my card somehow! Those sneaky elves.

This is a very basic die cut and glue card…seems like every year I have to have one super glam card….time will tell if this is it for this year! lol

I only used one layer of the Poinsettia Circle Frame, one cut of the Poinsettia Blooms die except for the berry branch sprinkly spronkly things… I cut that die 3 times and the individual poinsettia that comes in the center of the die, I cut six times and layered it on the poinsettias around the frame.

The only things that are on mounting tape are the JOY and to the world sentiments. The JOY die is part of the poppystamps Tidings of Joy stamp and die set. The JOY die in this set is really a backer die but I didn’t like it stamped so I die cut each letter of the JOY separately and trimmed them to fit together just like the die but the letters were defined then. I put the letters back into the die to hold them in place and put the mounting tape to hold them together. Slick!

I really love Poinsettias…every time I see a new one I want it. I haven’t even purchased a real one yet for the house! I’m feeling so behind. At least I have cards made though! YAY!

Now for a card…this is the card I had the gals make at our yearly Stamp Club Christmas party last Friday.

Very traditional… I used two embossing folders, the 3D texture fades Lumber for the Stitched Circle under the wreath and a Richard Garay folder Lumberjack. It’s not in stock at the link I posted below but hopefully they’ll get more?!

The festive Memory Box Hutton Wreath with some gold glittery stickles on the berries…the sentiment is from Penny Black’s Christmas Sentiments clear stamp set.

The poinsettia is from Memory Box Poinsettia Blooms die set and the smallest holly dies from poppystamps Holiday Holly die set.

The banner die is from a My Favorite Things Blueprint set.

Memory Box Snowglobe Wishes ‘Santa’ Wobble Card for CAS Christmas Challenge…

Hi everyone! It’s been a crazy week here…our area stamp club had it’s annual Christmas party yesterday and I was the head elf! I had lots of fun preparing and I’ll have a few things to share from it soon! 😀

Today I’m posting for the CAS Christmas challenge again as a guest for the month of November! So fun! I love CAS cards and even more so at Christmas! I have this cutie Santa on a wobble to share with you… a super short/seconds video to show you how it moves.

I love doing Copic Scribble coloring on these whimsical small-ish images. I added two sentiments in the set because well, Santa jiggles when he says “ho ho ho merry Christmas” so he needed to wobble!

A little Stampendous thick embossing powder for the snow…a scribble or two of white gel pen on his beard and suit.

Everything is on mounting tape but the piece behind Santa is a little thicker.

I have this cute card to share with you today! When I saw these NEW Whittle dies from poppystamps I was all over them but I’ve been slow getting them made up! Fortunately there’s still time! yay! I started with this super cute Rudolph. When I found these little snowballs at the Dollar Tree store (everything’s a dollar) I just knew I had to use them in a shaker!

I die cut the NEW poppystamps Pinpoint Shaker Ornament die in Silver Foil/Mirror cardstock first, then in fun foam two times. Now fun foam stretches when you die cut it so I usually end up clipping out a 1/16th of an inch or so on each side and fitting them back together…not much but enough that it doesn’t hang over the top cut! I use liquid glue to adhere them together.

Don’t forget to stick in your piece of acetate! I die cut it with one of the Retro Ornaments dies. Oh, I also cut the ornament backer piece with the Retro Ornaments die.

I heat embossed the NEW Memory Box Typewriter Holiday Elements background stamp in white, trimmed it to 5 inches square. Adhered that panel to a 5 ¼ inch square of kraft cardstock that I ink blended the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and the mini ink blending tool. Then that to a 5 ½ inch square white card base.

The poppystamps Stitched Alpine Snowflake Band is 3 die cuts glued together and then glued flat to the card.

Then I decided to glue on some bits I clipped off of a couple die cut poppystamps Shasta Twigs die cuts. Love that about Christmas…adding green and red bits just makes me happy! lol

Here we are at the inside…I actually remembered to take a picture!!! That’s a miracle! haha

I used the super, super CUTE NEW sentiment set from poppystamps called Merry Everything. You can combine stamps to make really fun expressions AND the die is included in the set!
