Memory Box Bennet Alphabet Merry Christmas Card…

Hi everyone! I challenged myself to use the new Memory Box Bennet Alphabet for a Christmas card this week…then I thought, I’m going to use unusual colors!  I always say I’m not a ‘pink’ person but we had three daughters and I dressed them in pink frequently! So…here’s some pink for you!

A Slimline card I wish I could show you in real life!  It’s a softer pink, I used Taylored Expressions Pink Champagne cardstock for the pinks and Mint Julep!  There are Copic markers to match these cardstocks also.  I colored the alphabet layer, die cut from Pink Champagne, with RV32.

I used the Pine Needle Trio dies again.  They seem to be making an appearance on my cards a lot these days! lol  I die cut them in Mint Julep cardstock then colored them with a Copic G21 to match.  The Holly Bundle dies were cut from Mint Julep also, I ran around the outside edge of each holly leaf with the same marker. I die cut the berries from Pink Champagne and colored them with the RV32 and a little dot with a white gel pen.

I die cut a panel from Pink Champagne with one of the Memory Box Wrapped Stitched Slim die set.  Then I die cut a panel from Mint Julep with one of the Memory Box Slim Basic Rectangle die set. I went around the edge of this panel with the chisel tip of the G21 marker to make the panel show up a little more.

I layered the panels on a white slimline size cardbase.  Several Memory Box Fairy Drop clear domes and it was done.

Have you tried the Slimline and Mini Slimline card sizes yet?  It’s fun!  Now to make something with kraft, turquoise and red! lol

Have a beautiful weekend! I need to get some shopping done!

Thank you for stopping by!

Memory Box Layered Poinsettia, Slim Confetti Plate, Holly Bundle, Pine Needle Trio and Joy Posh Script Card…

Hello!  Hope you are having a beautiful Saturday! Here’s a little festive holiday in paper finally!  Where did this week go?!

I used some of the Memory Box 6×6 cardstock pads for the poinsettias, pines and holly… I love having the different tones of reds to combine!  I didn’t add any inking to the petals but I think that would really take these petals up a notch!

Isn’t this NEW Joy Posh Script die beautiful!  I love it in the foil gold cardstock!

I die cut the NEW Slim Confetti Plate in heavyweight white cardstock and left some of the circles in place for fun!

I die cut a piece of gold cardstock with a Memory Box Slim Basic Rectangle die and layered it behind the Confetti panel.

I adhered both panels to a slim line cardbase.

I used pieces of foam mounting tape to adhere the poinsettias on first, making sure there was room to stick the holly and pine under the petals.  The Holly leaves are adhered with foam mounting tape also.  The Pine Needle Trio dies, I glued directly to the cardbase.

Here’s a couple more process photos…

I used the die package for constructing the poinsettias. In the pictures you see the two main pieces, then you glue the three separate leaves on matching them up too… anyway, that’s what I did! lol

Then I played with placement a little and took a picture with my phone so I would know where to put them when I transferred to the cardbase!

My pictures are all on different days!  Different weather conditions every day… so much for natural light! lol

You know the dies are beautiful though because Memory Box dies make the prettiest Christmas cards!  You will have fun with these festive dies and they all cut beautifully!

I’m going to go out and enjoy some sunshine for a little while!  yay!  Take care and I’ll be back here soon!

Memory Box Florentina Wreath and Merry Christmas Posh Script Card…

Hi everyone! Have you started on your Christmas card stash yet?  I’m working away dreaming of all the fun stuff there is out there to make!

Today’s card is a couple new dies and a sentiment from a new stamp set that I used on a previous card.

I die cut the new Florentina Wreath in heavyweight white cardstock and colored it with Copics.

Then I decided to inlay it back into the white panel that I die cut it from!  I love how it looks!  Hopefully you can see it in some of my pictures.

I wish I’d used a lighter brown for the branch so the red berries would’ve shown up better but the dot of white gel pen did help!

Very easy to inlay back in because there’s only the outside panel and the inside panel pieces to piece the wreath back into!  Super easy and classy looking!  That word gives me another idea… die cutting the wreath and then using embossing ink, gold embossing powder and heat embossing to make the wreath gold!

This is an A2 size card… the wreath panel is 4 x 5 ¼ in. then the black mat layer is just a teeny border and the cardbase is 5 ½ x 8 ½ in. folded and scored.

Very traditional again but festive and CAS too!

The sentiment is white embossing powder on TE oreo cardstock and from the new Festive Christmas Greetings stamp set.

Holler if you have any questions…I’m sure I forgot something. lol

OH!  The die cut Merry Christmas is a beautiful new die, Merry Christmas Posh Script!  I die cut it in TE Cherry Pop and white cardstock.

I cut narrow pieces of foam mounting tape for the back and adhered it over the inlaid wreath.

Thank you for stopping by!  Thinking….what to make next!

Memory Box Joy and Cheer, Large Pine Cone and Gentle Pine Needle Sprig Dies Card…

Hi everyone! How are you?  It’s cooling off here in Iowa and the days have been beautiful! I hope you’re enjoying the Fall where you are too!

My card today reminds me of the fancy ones you get from businesses with all the gold foiling and personalized touches!  I was tickled that this came out leaning toward a masculine feeling.  Sometimes Tim needs cards for business associates so this one would work great!

I used the NEW Memory Box Woodsy Plaid 6×6 double sided papers pad.  Gorgeous designs!

I don’t know why flat photos turn out different colors but the plaid is pretty anyway…somewhere between the colors in the photos! lol

Really straight forward card… die cut the images and sentiment from Bazzill Gold Foil cardstock, HERE… glue the pinecone together… die cut the sentiment backer from one of the blues from the Memory Box Stormy Blue 6×6 cardstock pad.

I used foam mounting tape on the cone and the sentiment.

I forgot to take a picture of the inside but I finished it with a piece of lighter blue from the same Stormy Blue cardstock pad and stamped an image/Wishing you a very Merry Christmas from the Yuletide Moments stamp set… I love this set!  Beautiful images for the front and inside of the card!

The gorgeous pearls are new from Starlitstudio!  I love having the smaller sizes!  Thank you Cindy!  She has them in other colors also… HERE… there are so many in the little bottle, it doesn’t look like I used any!

This card is 4 ⅜ in x 6 ¼ in so it will fit in an A7 envelope with room to spare, no corners ruined in mailing.

The pinecone is so pretty… it really catches the light and shows the dimension that Dave designed into the die!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Memory Box NEW Old Lamp Post, Melted Candles, Holly Bundle and Pine Needle Trio Card…

Hi everyone!  Are you feeling festive yet?  Working with greens, candles, lamp posts and snow gets me in the spirit of things!

I started with a panel of dark gray cardstock from the Memory Box Earth Neutral 6×6 cardstock pad.

I die cut the lamp from TE Oreo cardstock 3 times and glued them up for some height and used foam mounting tape to adhere it to the cardbase after I brushed on some TE Sugar Cube ink and die cut the candle in white, inked it with Oxide inks and stuck it to the back of the lamp.

I cut a piece of scrap acetate to put in the window. I couldn’t really get it to show in pictures!  I tried!

I decided on a sentiment from the NEW Memory Box Yuletide Moments stamp set! Stamped it in black pigment ink and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  I love the name of the set and the sentiments are all beautiful!  Be sure to check them out!  I love it when there’s words for the front and the inside that match!

I die cut the NEW Pine Needle Trio and Holly Bundle dies from the Memory Box Green 6×6 cardstock Pad. The berries from a scrap of red. I glued them directly to the lamp post.

Then I decided I needed to spatter the panel so I covered the words, got out the spatter box and using acrylic white ink and a bit of water and a brush, I spattered away.

This card is a little smaller than an A7 size.  Nice presentation!

Here’s a phone picture that maybe shows the acetate/glass on the lamp post better…the red is not this color though!  ugh.  Oh well, I give up, It’s Taylored Expressions Cherry Pop red cardstock.  I’ll link below.  Maybe red needs black behind it. lol  I’ll have to try another time!

Thank you all for stopping by!  I appreciate it!

P.S. I added a video to the end of my last post for the ornaments/tag.
