Welcome to my blog!  We’re skipping today to show you the Perfect Papercrafting tools and the cards we created for Operation Write Home.  The skip starts at the Stars and Stamps Blog, HERE.

Perfect Paper Crafting is a company with fabulous tools!  LOVE their rulers!  My video with a couple tips that I have found very helpful when using the tools is HERE.

Operation Write Home is an amazing organization that collects handmade cards to send to soldiers who in turn use them to send home to friends and family.  Wow!  What an awesome thing they do and I’m delighted to have a tiny part in it today.

PamSparksPWCupThanks700

I created two cards for the blog skip using the Perfect Layers Tools, 1/16th inch and 1/8 inch to cut the mats on this card and Printworks Collection rubber stamps.  I stamped the flowers first on watercolor paper, then masked them, stamped the cup and colored with Distress inks.  Stamps I used are HERE and HERE.

A thank you card and a Christmas card!  I know… I wasn’t wanting to do Christmas again but this image just needed to get inky! Let’s Go For A Walk, HERE, Tis the Season HERE. I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers. I added 1/16th inch mats with the Perfect Layers Tools. The pattern paper is from Echo Park, a 6×6 pad called Tis the Season.  Holly is from the Memory Box Fabulous Holly Wreath die.

I used the Operation Write Home Sketch #191.

Your next stop on the skip is Sandy’s blog.   Be sure to comment for a chance to win the awesome $50 prize from PPC!!!

Thanks for skipping by!

Memory Box and Poppystamps Christmas in the City…

PamSparksCityGlobeTake2.700

I know… Christmas again?!!!  yes… tomorrow… tomorrow won’t be Christmas cards!!!  I hope! lol

You have to love these mini snowmen though!  So cute to tuck in a scene!

PamSparksCityGlobeClose600

Can you see them?  One in front of the NEW Memory Box City Globe stamp, hatless… brrrrr …then two out front.  I used the Poppystamps Pine Border die cut in MB Dill cardstock too.  I cut off a few trees and placed them with the hatless snowman and then a piece out front with the two more.  (three different hats and four snowmen on the die)

The City Globe stamp is inked with black pigment ink and clear embossed, behind a panel with a circle cut out of it, then two cuts of the NEW MB Fabulous Holly Wreath die glued on the circle panel.

It’s Christmas Time in the City is a NEW sentiment stamp from MB and comes with a little holly stamp on the end of it.  I inked the sentiment with Versafine Black ink and the holly with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics and added Christmas Red Stickles to the berries.

Red twine and Red Glitter Domes or Red Pearls to finish it off!  Oh, wouldn’t a jingle bell be cute tied on the bow?!!!  An A-2 size card, just right for mailing!  Use a piece of that really thin foam like packaging sheet over the front, inside the envelope, to help keep the envelope from puncturing while going through the postal machines.

PamSparksCityGlobeSide700
I love the freshness of this card… the green against the white… the candy cane sweetness from the twine.  Love this new stamp… it’s great with the MB snow globe dies too!

Happy Tuesday and I’m off to get ready for tomorrow’s blog skip with Perfect Paper Crafting and Operation Write Home.  See you tomorrow!  Thanks for Looking!  ‘preciate it!  Have a good day!

Memory Box and Poppystamps Fall card AND a GIVEAWAY!!!

PamSparksFallFreshFoliage700

Happy Fall y’all!  Here’s the new Trulani Wreath and Berry Sprig dies from Poppystamps paired with the wonderful Memory Box Fresh Foliage die.  I stamped the MB Gingham Heart stamp on the Fresh Foliage die cut for interest.

I die cut the Trulani Wreath in three MB card-stocks, Kraft (two times),  Jack O Lantern and Crimson.  Then pieced/layered them together  I edged everything with Distress inks and the ink blending tools. The Berry Sprig die is cut from MB Dill card-stock.

PamSparksFallFreshfoliageClose600

I stamped MB Wishing You Combo stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink, positioning with the Stamp a ma jig. Turquoise gems to match the MB  Lagoon card-stock layer.

Confession time… this is take two of this card… yes, it got pulled apart last night.  The first version I used my Perfect layers tools and the mats were, yes, perfect! (just the wrong color after I decided to throw in the turquoise gems!)  Well, I couldn’t use them on this 2nd version because of all the layering already done.  EEK!  So… don’t look to close but if you do,  you’ll see why I LOVE the Perfect Layers Tools! lol  YES,  you need them!  You will use them constantly to layer… just remember to do your embellishing after and beware of do-overs! lol  Link to buy over in the sidebar… use the code for 5% off!

The card size is 5 1/2 inches square.
