Good morning! The weather outside was frightful yesterday! lol I didn’t blow away so I’ve got some tags to share!
I LOVE this new alphabet die set from Memory Box…here I used the main letters, die cut in the tag and inlaid the white die letters in the tag then. I used scor-tape on the back of the tag to hold them in and another tag so the back looks nice.
I used Sizzix Sticky Sheet Grid to line up the dies for die cutting.
Here’s what they look like if you use both the main letter and the backer piece.
I had fun! I wanted to make the light bulbs more colorful but I made them to match the wrapping paper I have.
I had to paint the beads but it wasn’t a big deal… I used skewers and toothpicks! Acrylic paint dries fast.
Lawn Fawn’s light bulb die set worked perfect for me.
So fun! I love doing stuff like this!
I used Taylored Expressions cardstocks…
Hemp twine to tie on the beads… black eyelets in the holes.
I glued the electrical wire on and used mounting tape to mount the bulbs.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you’re having fun making too… it’s down to the wire! Tomorrow is the homeschool Christmas party my granddaughters and I are doing tag make and takes for. We have six different tags ready…25 of each. Probably too many. lol Fun! Fun!
Hi everyone! I don’t know which one to start with! Lots of pictures so I better just get to it!
We all love snowmen, right? This one is sooooo CUTE!
I think I’m going to have to make a video to show what I used on each one…
I used the House Frame die, the House Frame Background die and the Snowman House Frame die.
Simple Distress Oxide backgound using my blue and purple brushes…I didn’t even add any extra ink! Then a quick spritz of water.
The trees I used my green Distress oxide brush….no extra ink.
These will be so fun hanging on the Christmas tree or if I can part with them, on a present!
Here’s the Nativity House Frame… new navy glitter cardstock from the NEW Festive Glitter 6×6 Pad.
The House and tree are cut from MB woodgrain cardstock and inked with Gathered Twigs Distress ink.
I used the House Frame, the Nativity House Frame and the House Frame Background dies for this ornament.
I love the simplicity of this and want to make more! A great reminder that Jesus is the reason for the season!
Next up is the Gingerbread House Frame….. so cute!
Gingerbread…a must have for Christmas! So many adorable pieces to embellish this cute house!
I used the House Frame, the Gingerbread House Frame and the House Frame Background dies to make this one.
MB woodgrain cardstock again, inked with Gathered Twigs distress ink. The gum drops and peppermint glitter is from the new Festive glitter pad and last years Holiday glitter pad.
Last, I thought it’d be fun to make a birdhouse from the House Frame Background die! I made it a tag. I think I’ll still hang it on the tree as an ornament though.
I used some elements from the Gingerbread House Frame die also.
I heat embossed the word JOY from the NEW Birch Press Design Contempo Christmas Greetings stamp set.
It needed some green! So I cut the NEW Curled Holly Branch from the Fresh Green 6×6 cardstock pad and embellished the berries with Nuvo drops.
I felt like it needed a bird. lol I couldn’t get it to work to suit me though so I put the bird I made on the back!
He is from the MB Perched Bird die… just brushed on ink with my oxide ink brushes again. I love how that works and so fast…who knew that an inky brush could be so handy! lol
These aren’t as big as they look in my pictures… they are approximately 3 ½ in. wide and 3 ½ in. tall. Perfect ornament size!
Editing and adding this video…watch it on You Tube for better quality!
Whew… did you make it through this long post! I almost didn’t! lol I kept taking pictures over! My computer desktop is a mess of pictures! lol
But I love making so I keep doing this! haha We’ll inspire each other to get in the Christmas spirit!

How about a super short post today! lol I started this and thought, I better make a quick video to show how it works! So here’s a little intro video to how this snowglobe tag is going to go together and think about how many variations we can make! The snowmen, the cabin in the woods, Santa and Sleigh scenes… oh my! Check it out!
Hi everyone! I didn’t realize how appropriate this card would be for my news today! The WOW. JUST WOW. part anyway! lol I was asked to be a guest for Reverse Confetti during January and February! A super fun way to start the new year!
My first card is using one of the new stamp sets, omg and one of the dies from the new hearts confetti cuts. Swoon, I love this stripe heart! What else can I tuck in there?! ❤
I had fun heat embossing the sentiments in white on black cardstock (don’t they look like real dymo labels), then stapling them with the tiny attacher onto the die cut panel.
I ended up with a 5 ½ inch square card.
The small red hearts are dies from Heart Tag Toppers Confetti Cuts. ❤
My next card uses another new stamp set all the love and the coordinating die set, all the love confetti cuts.
You know I love hearts! Yes my blog name… ❤ And by the way, in case you haven’t noticed, I did upgrade over the Christmas break to expressions with heart.com! yay! So you shouldn’t see any ads other than the ones I put on here to the ‘good’ stuff! hehe
You have to love the ‘confetti’ hearts I made with the new oh my heart cover panel confetti cuts die! So colorful and sure to make the receiver smile!
I didn’t get all my wood slices used for Christmas! That worked out great for me to have one ready to stamp and heat emboss with white powder with a couple of the other sentiments from the all the love set! So fun to add to a gift for Valentines or hey, you don’t even have to have a reason to give!
Another close up of just the wood slice…
Thank you so much for stopping by…but wait! There’s tons more for you to see today from the other ‘fetti friend and the regular design team! Here’s the list and you’ll want to comment because there’s prizes involved! ❤ A $15 gift certificate to a blog commenter and a $15 gift certificate to a facebook commenter! Comments will close at noon CST January 7th. The comment winners will be announced on the RC blog and FB page at 5 pm CST January 7th!
See you again tomorrow and Tuesday for more sneak peeks, then Wednesday the 8th for RELEASE DAY and blog hop!
Hi everyone! Last week Thursday I got to have a craft day with one of our granddaughters Lizzie Faith. One of the things we did was play with this new Lawn Fawn Build a House die set. I’ll link below. It’s not very often I get grands one on one so we made the best of the day!
Here’s my two tags and then I’ll add a picture of Lizzie Faith and her tag. She also made a couple cards with the Spellbinders Merry Everything Card kit and then she drew and Copic colored an 8×10 picture of Dragon Prince. The girls got talent drawing!
I just picked out scraps in some teals and pinks and started die cutting. I was inspired by Kay Miller’s tags HERE! So festive and fun… always love what Kay designs and makes!
I did end up adding some white gel pen embellishing and glossy accents to the light bulbs. I die cut the main house piece inside the fold so I’d have a tag with an opening card. If you look close, you can see that’s how my tags are standing up.
Funny how flat photos the color changes some… I liked the picture though. lol
Ok – here’s Lizzie Faith working on her tag…
And here’s her finished tag! She added snow and sparkle! A sweet gingerbread house!
So fun, we need to do more craft days around here… Summer is so busy with swimming and gymnastics, we don’t get as many cardmaking days in.
Thanks for stopping by and hope we made you smile!
Merry Christmas Friends and Cardmakers! All the Best to you!
Here’s a big picture of the tags I made for the gift bags we used for stockings for the grandkids this year. I’m going to keep the bags and reuse them every year! Now you know what I’ve been up to! We have a wonderful family celebration here yesterday…today I’m taking it easy! 😀
I really enjoyed playing with this Spruce and Sprigs set from Papertrey ink after seeing what their design team did with it. I wish I’d had more time to make more! : )
So festive. I used Stampin Up’s Real Red ink, Peeled Paint and Pine Needles Distress Inks. Then I brushed in a little Copic Sketch marker.
So I moved on to making Gift tags…they always make me happy. I’m trying to use up wrapping paper so I can buy new again, so I ended up with a variety of tags trying to match the wrapping paper.
Hero Arts Elf stamp and die set, Merry and Bright circle tag set, Dotted Merry is a poppystamps die and Magnolia dies.
Sloppy, sketchy Copic coloring…Santa and Sleigh are from Taylored Expressions.
Pretty sure this Holly stamp and die is from Papertrey Ink.
Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
Some wood mounted stamps from Inkadinkado and the sentiment inside from MFT. The tag is from Papertrey Ink.
Tag from MFT and the sentiment from Stampers Anonymous.
More sloppy, sketchy coloring on this Reverse Confetti Santa and Rudolph.
I had fun making and I think the kids all enjoyed their gifts! I know the adults did! : ) Lots of smiles and memories.
I don’t know about you but it’s rare I sit and look back. So many memories and yes I’m thankful! Yesterday we went to a Civil War Reenactment that our grandson participated in. History brought to life. So many things going through my mind now.
On the fun side though, they started the afternoon with a fashion show. They showed and talked about the ‘ins and outs’ of dressing in that era. The hoop skirts…what a contrast to the skin tight jeans of today. eek! Glad I can be in the middle and be comfortable!
oh cards… yes, I have two to share today! lol Both are from the May Release at Taylored Expressions.
I die cut the new Starry Night Cutting plate in kraft card-stock and layered it to a navy, top folded A-2 size card base.
I embossed the new Brick embossing folder in red card-stock and then ran it through the Big Shot to die cut it with the new Build a Tag 4 die set. Stitched edges… love! It smashed the brick a little but I had inked one side of the folder with fired brick distress ink so I kinda like how it turned out!
I die cut the bell in gray from the new Patriotic treat toppers die set. Layered it on navy card-stock and mounted it to the tag with thin 3L mounting squares.
I stamped along the bottom of the tag with the word celebrate stamp from a TE Christmas set, A Winter View.
I glued on Studio Calico wood stars for embellishing and Lawn Fawn twine and hemp to finish off the tag.
Doodlebug Washi tape for the rainbow tea party and birthday party CAS cards I made… so fun… I know, it’s looks like I spent 10 minutes but actually I messed around for a few hours to get to these two cards! lol
Here I used the new Block Party die and Eventful Birthday Party die. I put washi on a piece of white card and die cut it for the background behind the gifts. I love how it turned out!
This one I used just a part of the new Eventful Tea Party Border die. Glad I don’t have to pick a favorite! love them all!
That’s it from me today! Thanks for stopping by and thank you so much for your wonderful, encouraging comments! Happy remembering loved ones and celebrating our freedom that was hard won by a lot of heros!
Some tags to share today…I had so much fun making these! It was a tag happy Christmas for me! The grandkids were over to make tags a couple times and then I made tag kits for the ones that couldn’t make it over. A happy ‘gram’! : )
Then I made tags for our gifts, to match the Hallmark gift wrap.
For the ladies gifts I used the Stampin Up Wondrous Wreath stamp and die sets.
Using the SU sets was a bit of a challenge. They match up but the only way I could get them good enough to suit me was using the Stamp a ma jig to stamp. I cut the center of the wreath in the card-stock first, then stamped with the Stamp a ma jig, then die cut the outside of the wreath. I purchase Stampin Up HERE. Tell her ‘Pam’ sent you!
I added a little SU Real Red marker to the bow and die cut the word Joy from the die set in Gold metallic card-stock.
The tag for the guys turned out really neat too!
I used the Papertrey Ink Phrase Play #9 die, cut in white…cut a tag snowflake for each in dark blue. (the tag back is a dark blue rectangle I cut on the paper cutter and used the corner rounder punch on the corners)
I popped out the white snowflake and pieced in the blue snowflake. Yes, you need to put the itty bitty white pieces back in the snowflake but it’s really easy. Put scotch tape on the back, lay the white snowflake on top of the blue and with your paper piercer push the itty bitty pieces into the holes. They will stick there because of the scotch tape. When I die cut the white, the snowflake stayed intact. I used the heavier white card-stock, so if yours doesn’t stay together, try heavier card-stock. Although I did have to use one piece of copy machine paper to shim it, didn’t take much at all.
I still used the white snowflake too!
The Deerhead die cut is from Savvy! I love that it’s a side view! The twine is Lawn Trimmings from Lawn Fawn. I die cut the word winter from dark blue card too and pieced it into the white. Scotch tape on the back of the Winter banner, holds the letters in place. Then I used mounting squares to put it in place on the tag. Sure you could use scor-tape of dbl sided tape but in this case, since I’m using mounting squares, scotch tape is my new best friend! hehe
For the two youngest grandsons, I used a little bear stamp from Lawn Fawn on their tags. The older boys got owls. The girls tags I made with snowflakes but I didn’t get a picture of the girls. oops!
The Jingle all the way die is from Taylored Expressions. Back in October Taylor had a stamp day here in Iowa, called Stamp Joy. I was able to go and help with make n takes. I’m finally getting to use one of my purchases anyway! TE put on an awesome day of stamping!
The snowflake is a Martha Stewart punch. The greenery is from the Magnolia, All I want for Christmas die club kit.

I made two tag/envelope/paper bag treatments for some really cute dark chocolate bars I picked up at the grocery store. Oh my, I LOVE the wrappers on them…so festive and inspiring! Here’s a link to their online site… Theo
I’m not sure how good they will be but I’m going to keep the wrappers! I suppose I could give them away and not eat them… maybe they’ll still have some when I go back! Then I could get a few to share! lol
My favorite dark chocolate bars are Green & Blacks organic dark chocolate mint and 70% dark chocolate. So good. oops. sidetracked. hohoho
The base for my gift tags is one of those office type envelopes, from the Timbergrove paper collection by Fancy Pants, with the circles on the back that you wind the string back and forth around. A great holder for some ‘cash’! The ‘treat’ can fit in the paper bag. I get the paper bags at Starlitstudio.netIsn’t this one fun?! Great for a lot of occasions.
A close up of the dies I used… (the paper comes already distressed)
For a second chance to win – ‘like’ our Birch Press Design Page on Facebook and share the post featuring information about today’s blog hop and prize. One random winner will be selected from FB. If you already like us on Facebook, all you need to do is share the post.
Sweet Christmas childhood memories… I’m sure we all had a rocking horse of some kind or other! This cutie is one of the dies from the Magnolia DooHickeys Club Kit #2, All I Want For Christmas. It is chock full of cuteness! Here’s the tag I made with the Santa and border that are also part of the kit. Lots of dies for a great price and a little magazine full of ideas too! OH, almost forgot! The little lace piece is another die in the kit… see… tons more too!
I die cut the Rocking Horse die from white card-stock and colored it with Copics. The words happy and christmas are from Paper Smooches.

Last Friday at our area stamp club meeting we swapped Christmas tags. I made two and let the gal that got my name choose which one she wanted.
I made a bookmark style tag with Paper Smooches dies and the PTI Tinsel and Tags set and then a Snowglobe style tag with PTI Tinsel and Tags set, the Winter die and snowglobe die.
I could make tags all day! lol So much fun with all the new stamps and dies out there! Hope you are having a good time using your stash too or shopping to increase your stash … oh my… so much! I’m addicted! lol
Festive and lots of techniques! I just had to play in Loll’s Twelve Tags of Christmas! I LOVE tags!
Getting a good photo of all these techniques was almost too much for a very amateur photographer like me! I have a terrible time giving up though! lol So, the top two close ups are to show the gold embossing powder on the embossing paste.
Here’s what I did…
I cut a tag with the largest MFT pierced tag die in white 110# cover card-stock
I did Loll’s pearl background technique on it next…the only thing I changed from what she does is instead of using plastic wrap, I used a plastic bag and put my hand inside it, scrunched it up a little, picked up the pearl mixative and pounced, keeping my hand clean! haha The right one anyway! lol
Next, using the ink blending tool and Gathered Twigs Distress ink pad, I inked the whole tag.
Over the top of that I placed the Tim Holtz stencil and applied white embossing paste. Cleaned it up then…
I dumped Ranger Queens Gold embossing powder over the whole tag, removed the excess and heated it with a heat tool.
I LOVE the look of the powder on the paste!
I die cut the Seasons Greetings Avery Elle die from gold metallic card-stock
I did cut the Penny Black holly die from Copic coloring card-stock.
Color the holly cut with Copic markers
Then with the matching Penny Black holly stamp, I stamped the colored die cut, after stamping off on scrap paper, with Gathered Twigs Distress ink pad. This stamp is from several years ago and they don’t advertise that it matches but it does and looks so awesome! Another, exclamation when finished!!! LOVE it!
I adhered everything to the tag with mounting squares cut to fit.
I think I will hang this on my Christmas tree, that’s how happy I am with it! : )
Thanks for clicking over to my blog today! I love to share what I’ve been up to with you. Leave your blog link when you comment so I can come visit you too!
p.s. I still have some card kits for sale too…thank you!
Have you seen the adorable Magnolia Doohickey die club kit #2? So FUN! Love it! I will be making some more tags and using them on cards this Christmas!
The challenge at Tilda’s Town Challenges this week is Christmas, optional add a tag… well, I just made tags and they are Christmas… just a little backwards! haha
Maybe you’re like me and it’s time to do a little coloring again…well… I did color Santa’s face with Copics! hoho
We’d love to have you play in the challenges!
Each week there is a random winner, chosen by Inlinkz, for a $10 gift certificate to Tilda’s Town.com!

I’ll link to the All I want for Christmas die club kit and the products I used below.
Our area stamp club met Friday afternoon and it was my turn to have the program, so I had them make this tag and the red Frosted Pine Tree card I posted last week. I’m normally NOT a glitter girl, but I am enjoying die cutting with score-tape and applying glitter to the new Memory Box ornament dies!
I never thought I would love glitter card-stock either but…people change!!! hahahahaha I have been using so much of this glitter card that I had to buy more! When was the last time I used a piece of pattern paper! Oh dear… that is cause for concern considering the stash here in this house!!! eek! Ho Ho Ho!
So after I made this one, I thought I’d make one to post on the Memory Box blog…lo and behold I went to post yesterday and fortunately I looked at Deborah’s draft for her post today….she used the SAME focal point dies I did!!! So I didn’t post this yesterday. Check out her post on the Outside the Box blog HERE
I changed it up a bit because we can only use Memory Box dies and stamps on the Memory Box blog. (I know, every once in awhile I sneak in some grass or a window or something like that from poppystamps… hehe) ssshhhhh…. whispering that!!!
So here’s the change up…
I changed out the poppystamps Berry Sprig die to the Memory Box Snowflake Sprig die.. then I had to glitter up the purple snowflake center too!
Finished the post for the MB blog… then decided maybe I liked it better without the extra white branches! oh… I make myself crazy! So I took them off… maybe I like it better without and maybe I don’t! I don’t know my own mind some days! lol What mind? waaahhhhh!
See what I mean? When you look at it, do you say, “put some branches on it” or do you think, leave them off? Yes, some days you just need a counselor! lol
The Peace Script die is cut three times out of holly Memory Box card-stock, glued together with Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue…teeny dots in a few strategic places and then colored with the Wink of Stella Red Glitter Brush Pen.
I die cut the NEW Kensington Christmas Tree diefrom white card-stock and colored it first with Copic markers and then with the red and green Wink of Stella Glitter Brush markers.
Layered it on white glitter paper with mounting squares that I cut up into smaller squares!
This is an A-2 size card…Memory Box Dill Notecard…I just colored a border around the outside edge with the Wink of Stella Green Glitter Brush marker and I did the same to the Memory Box Holly Card-stock piece that I matted the white panel with, only the red Wink of Stella Glitter Brush marker. So everything is sparkly! Good thing, right? Sparkle is pretty!
I just put dots of glue on a few of the letters of the ‘peace’ word, the ‘a, c and e’ and stuck it over the top.
Wish you could come over and see it IRL! The photos don’t capture the wink of stella sparkle. boo.
Thanks for stopping by today! ‘preciate it and always love your comments! It just encourages me to keep cutting these dies and gluing them together! lol Have a great rest of the week and ttul!
The minute I saw this car on Savvy’s FB page, I knew I had to have it and it needed a tree on top! Isn’t it the cutest thing ever?! love how the tag turned out. Friday afternoon was our stamp clubs annual Christmas party and this was one of the things we made.
I had to hang it on my tree and take a picture too! lol (the snow background stamps is an older background stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms, not sure if it’s available anymore or not)
We always give each other Christmas cards. I had plenty of cards already made but when Debby posted this card on Thursday, I immediately set to work totally inspired by her beautiful card!!!
It’s great that vellum is coming ‘on trend’ again! What’s old is new again… good thing because I have a stash! lol And embossing powder too! Just can’t throw anything away because it’ll cycle around again and you’ll love it once more! YAY! Perfect for Christmas and Valentines!
Next up…a card designed by Linda Ward, that we made at club.
The Washi Tape was so much fun and the little metallic border stickers too! Thanks Linda!
Barbara had us make the cutest elf shoe but I left mine there so I won’t have it until next meeting. : (
I could keep making Christmas cards for a few more months!!! So many wonderful ideas out there! Thanks everyone for stopping by and for sharing your creative spirit! I appreciate it and it inspires me to keep creating!
