Hello! I had the urge to make more of a pastel card yesterday but I also wanted to use the Nested Globes die set and make a shape card.
Well, a long the way, it ended up that the shape, cut to have a fold at the top, from white cardstock that opens to reveal the message inside. Then I decided to mount it on an A2 Wrapped Stitch Rectangle die cut from one of the lightest greens in the Memory Box Lush Green 6×6 cardstock pad.
Fun for a change! I stamped the ‘thank you’ sentiment from the NEW Birch Press Design Kind Hearts stamp set. It’s a gorgeous stamp set! I used Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide for this in the MISTI, inked and stamped 3 or 4 times.
I used the smallest Nested Globes die to stamp ‘Hello’ on. The HELLO stamp is from the Memory Box Peony Garden Wreath stamp set.
I die cut the Memory Box NEW Enchanting Poppy Stems from a white cardstock that has a little bit of texture. Then I inked the pieces with Shabby Shutters Distress Ink for the leaves and stems. I inked the poppies with Altenew Cotton Candy Ink and then a little bit of Taylored Expressions Lavender Glaze ink. It’s tricky getting the right pink to match the plaid paper. I hope I got close! lol
I added a video directly from my phone, I wish they let me change the size but this is all I get for my money!
I die cut the plaid from the Memory Box Spring Plaid Slim paper pad and edged the cut with the same Shabby Shutters Distress ink. Regular Distress ink.
Basically a very non traditional poppy! I will have to do a red one next time!
Last week I posted the poppystamps Grand Whittle Pig card and after I got to thinking it’d make a cute shape card to be used on a gift! So here’s a quick snapshot of how that turned out when I tried it. Cute! oink!
Sure you could ‘doll’ it up too! How about a red bandana at the neck! lol
Another quick video…
Thank you for stopping by today! I’ll be back tomorrow with a Birthday card!
Here’s what I used on this card…
