poppystamps Happy Birthday Card…

Hi everyone! Every once in awhile I’m inspired to use something from my stash….so don’t shoot me because today I’m using a die that is no more!  poppystamps Happy Birthday Melody.

I stapled it on with the tiny attacher stapler.

The word belated is from a Lawn Fawn stamp set that I stamped… I love how it turned out.

Some washi tape on the background piece and an old canvas looking background stamped in black.

This is not your normal cardstock!  A gal from stamp club brought this and gave it to us… It’s chipboard like.  So fun and it just adds more to the masculine feel of the card.

An A2 size, clean and simple card that just came together with stuff from my stash!  yay!

Thanks for stopping by! I’ll be back with more birthday cards… I can’t show yet because I don’t want the peeps to see them before they receive them!  hehe

We’re celebrating Winter here in Iowa with a snowstorm that’s living up to the forecast!  Sorry to the ppl that need to go places! Take care!  ❤

Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash Challenge Card…

Hi everyone! Today I’m on to share a card for Reverse Confetti stock your stash challenge. The theme… Love is in the Air! All those heart cuts from the new hearts Confetti Cuts to the rescue, love in the air clouds!

Look at this cute critter from the new Flowers for a Friend stamp set and confetti cuts!  I searched tigers and then tried to give him a realistic coloring job!  He makes me smile!  I used Copic Sketch markers in the YR20’s range.

I don’t remember what colors I used for the flowers, not really anything in particular.

I used the new paper pad sweet as sugar to die cut some of the hearts and for the background panel.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set… heat embossed on black cardstock with white embossing powder and trimmed to make a banner.

Such a fun theme!  I hope you get a chance to play!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Memory Box… Scribble Rose Trio and Happy Heart Collage Cards…

Hi everyone! It’s snowing here… not a lot but enough to brighten it up which is so nice!  This white card makes me think of snow too!  I love how this turned out… beautiful new Memory Box Scribble Rose Trio die combined with an earlier release Antique Leaf Label.  So pretty!

Several pictures today…you can always tell when I’m happy with photos. haha Such a picky picture person. ugh. (the red is prettier IRL)

I die cut and glued the Scribble Rose Trio die cuts behind the poppystamps largest Double Stitch Rectangle Frames die.  I cut strips of mounting tape and raised it up a little off the cardbase…mounting tape behind the roses too.

I die cut the label die and used mounting tape behind the leaves.

Then came the challenge… heat embossing in gold is easy but figuring out how to mount it…well…eek!  I found some clear mounting stuff on a roll in my drawer so I just did it!  Kept it behind the words and I’m ok with it.   It was worth the little bit of fiddly because it really is so pretty IRL!

The sentiments are from the NEW Friendship Floral Heart clear stamp set.  I want to stamp and color that up next!

You likey? lol  I think I know who I’m going to send this to.  Someone special for sure! One of my sister’s is recovering from a health issue so I will stick it in the mail!  ❤

Size… A2

*Keep your adhesive remover handy with white cards!  I think I posted before how it was a must have tool!

*The other thing I use ALL the time is a BIG pin… like a hat pin.  The head came off so I wrapped some washi tape around it.  It’s always beside me.  I use it to remove adhesive that seeps out AND to get cuts out of dies.  ❤

Then I made another Happy Heart Collage Card… I had die cut this black one before I made the orange/pink strip type one from last week.  I couldn’t make it work then but all of a sudden I was inspired to use the Memory Box Christmas 6×6 paper pad plaids and it works!

I’m happy with it! I’m sure you understand where I’m coming from (well maybe not?!)… getting back into the groove was slow after Christmas.  I always wonder if I really can make cards I like again! lol

And masculine cards are challenging but this one just evolved and surprised me!  I didn’t really even work hard at it like usual!

The NEW Double Stitch Happy Heart Cut Out dies are awesome!  YES to double stitches!  Years ago I sewed 24/7, fashion seamstress so to speak.  I remember being so happy when I was able to sew double stitches! hehe  I don’t know if any of that knowledge would come back to me now!  Nice to have dies that do it for me!

The stamped sentiment is from the NEW Big and Little Valentines clear stamp set.  Size… 5 ½ inches square!

I think that’s it for today… scroll down for SSS shopping codes (previous post)…I’ll post a Scrapbook.com great deal…and you know where to shop for Memory Box and more… Starlitstudio.net! LinkDeli links to products I used below…

Reverse Confetti, Countdown to Confetti Day Three…

Does she make you smile? Happy Heart Day papercrafting friends!  When I saw this new heart die from the NEW Hearts Confetti Cuts, I knew I had to use it like it was paper dolls!  So cute!

I stamped and die cut the cute girl bunny from the NEW Crafty Critters stamp set and coordinating confetti cuts set.  Colored her with Copics, E30’s, R30’s, BG10’s.

You can tell she loves her cardmaking hobby just like we do!

I kept the card basic, clean and simple and let her shine. A little Evergreen Bough and Peacock Feathers Oxide inks blended in the background, sentiments white embossed on black cardstock to show off a happy crafter!

The happy valentines day sentiment is from the NEW So Very Lovely stamp set. Over 32 sentiments in the set…super fun ones… like ‘love you to the moon and back’, ‘cutie pie’ and so much more!

Reverse Confetti, Countdown to Confetti Day Two…

Welcome back to Day Two Sneek Peeks of the January Release for Reverse Confetti!  Today we are introducing the stamp set Butterfly Wreath and coordinating Confetti Cuts set.

I made it up two ways… the first that I’m sharing today is a CAS card colored simply with Copics (BG10, 11, 13) and then with a shimmer pen. I’ll share my other card on release day Wednesday.

I die cut the wreath in an A2 size panel to overlay the stamped and colored image that I adhered to the cardbase after coloring because… yah… remember Copics soak through the cardstock.

This card could be used for so many occasions… well this set could be! Beautiful image and sentiments!  I especially love the one, ‘you’ve been on my mind’.  Come back Wednesday to see that one used on a card! ❤

Have fun clicking through the other designers posts…you’ll want to comment because there’s prizes involved! ❤  A $15 gift certificate to a blog commenter and a $15 gift certificate to a facebook commenter!  Comments will close at noon CST January 7th.
