Joe Kool meets Holiday Online Card Class…

PamSparksPrintworksSMfront

Joe Kool visited our city bearing snow and cold yesterday!  He decided it was SNOW time!  It was still here this a.m. but the sun was out strong and melted it all away by afternoon…I’m sure Joe Kool will be back! haha  Gotta have a white Christmas!

I really hesitated signing up for this online class… didn’t register until Sunday!  In the past I’ve always struggled making the time to complete any of the assignments.   For this session there is a day between classes and that was just the break I needed to make one of the assignments! hip hip hooray!  I hope I can do some more!

What fun!  I love kraft, red, black and white! Throw in the washi tape, twine and a snowman and I’m smilin’!

Joe Kool is just one of the many awesome snowmen from Printworks Collection.  You can find him in the store HERE. The sentiment snow time HERE and Happy everything HERE.

I stamped Joe with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  Get a load of that sparkle!!!  You’ve heard about the Wink of Stella glitter brush markers?!  WAY cool, like Joe!  Check them out HERE! I used the white, red and dark green ones. (brushed right over the coloring) They dry fast too!

PamSparksPrintworksSMheadInside

Inside…a gift card holder crafted with vellum and washi tape.  I didn’t have a gift card to put in the pocket, so I put a piece of green card-stock in there for the photo. Now  you can see the white embossed happy everything!   (don’t mind the few specks of white…insert TIP…when you’re embossing on vellum… put a dark paper behind so you can see said specks! Just pretend they’re snow! All better now)

Snowflake punch is this one… HERE.

Challenges
Addicted to Stamps – punches or dies
Seize the Sketch  – sketch
Paper Playtime – sparkle
Shopping Our Stash – use something already out on your desk (wink of stella pens, copics, stamp pads, washi tape, twine)

Just plain fun!  Thanks for looking!  Love it when you stop by!  Always love to hear from you too!  Take care and stay warm!

Perfect Paper Crafting meets Some Odd Girl Blog Hop…

PPChop

Welcome to the Hop!  It’s been a hopping weekend and now it’s just moving right on to Monday!

PamSparksPPC-SOGhopAngle700

The Perfect Paper Crafting gals and Some Odd Girl gals are hopping together!  Starting today and running through the 17th, you’ll be inspired.

You know I ‘heart’ my Perfect Layers Tools from Perfect Paper Crafting.  I used them on my Easel card today.  I used the 1/16th inch ruler to mat my inner layers and the 1/8th inch ruler to mat the outer layer.  Check them out HERE and use the code Sparks 5% when you checkout!  You will love them too!

I used images from the Some Odd Girl Fall Friends stamp set.  I know, I know… I’m really into kids in piles of leaves this year! lol  I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers.  My Easel card is 5 inches square when folded down for mailing. The pattern paper I used is Nightfall from American Crafts but it’s older…sorry ’bout that!

TIP: I mounted the pumpkin on a folded in half circle of card-stock and it serves as the ‘stopper’ for the front panel, holding it in place when it’s standing up.  I adhered the bottom half of the circle to the base of the card and the pumpkin is mounted to the top part of the circle.  When you fold the card down, the pumpkin just lays down flat too!

Birdie Brown’s Scarecrow…

PamSparksBBScarecrowFront

Here’s a cute fellow for you!  Awhile back Torico/aka Birdie Brown, posted this freebie image called ‘hey pumpkin’ and I just knew I had to color it up!  You can get it HERE.

Printed him out on Hammermill color copy cover card-stock and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  Sorry I don’t remember the colors exactly…laid on my desk too long! ugh!  I know the overalls are the B90’s and the pumpkin is YR02, 04 and E07!  I know I tried to give him the Raggedy Andy look! That’s why the light complexion.  Do you still have a Raggedy Ann doll?  I have a big one but wish I had the small one too!

Bella BLVD pattern papers, Impression Obsession leaves,  Memory Box tree and clouds… he’s sitting on the tree,  I made it into a log. : )  Everything is edged with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and the ink blending tool.  The ‘hi’ is an old Cuttlebug die.  I think it came with the Olivia Alphabet but not positive!

It’s Fall for sure…sun’s out today but the chill is in the air!  I’m surprised this guy isn’t shivering with his bare feet! lol  Well,  I don’t think I’ll go rake leaves. ha!  That would be too ambitious!

oh yak, yak, almost forgot!  How could I?!  yes… I used the Perfect Layers Tools again!  Love them for matting/framing…perfect results!  Love that!  A real time saver!

Thanks for stopping by… I have some other stuff started but good grief… I’m terrible at getting anything finished these days!  Wish me luck! hohoho  and a good dose of ambition! : )

I used the Perfect Layers Tools to mat my stamped and colored image… 1/16 in,  1/8 in and 1/2 in rulers.  Crisp and clean mats every time!  I ‘heart’ them!

PamSparksFallPumpkinChairMMEClose

I had fun incorporating dies and other elements into the design of the card.  Lovin’ the leaves die from Impression Obsession…the thanks die from Memory Box…burlap from Starlitstudio…stamp from Serendipity (colored with Copics) and the yarn is from the stash of old threads we used to use to embellish tags…can’t think of what we called it!  Most came wrapped on cards…several different ones. The First Class and cancellation lines are old stamps from Hero Arts.

PamSparksFallPumpkinChairSide700

The card is 6×6 and mounted on a 6×6 card base… I know… kraft again! hehe

Six blogs to visit for this hop…enjoy and comment to win!

PamSparksLion700

Happy FALL and WELCOME to my blog hop post for Perfect Paper Crafting and Yumi & Fumi Handmade rubber stamps!  So glad you stopped by to see my ‘wild for you’ lion!  He’s got personality!

YFHero

Our grandkids LOVE dressing up! We have a lion costume so I just had to I use AJ Lion…I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.

Skin – E000, 00, 21, 11
Hair – E23, 25, 27, 29
Eyes – B21, 23, 26
Lion suit – YR20, 21, 23, 24, 27, E19, 18

I must confess… I added the heart!  It was real easy to cut up his arm and have him holding the heart!  Made me happy! lol   Oh and that heart has the new Wink of Stella brush pen, Red glitter on it!

I used the 1/4 inch Perfect Layers Ruler to mat the Chevron piece on my card,  the 1/8 inch to mat the layer AJ Lion is on and the 1/16 inch to mat the sentiment.  Their rulers truly are awesome!  I LOVE them! The best investment for card-making!  They save so much time! Link below and in the sidebar for a 5% discount.

The sentiment stamp is old, probably not available anymore… sorry ’bout that.
