Are you wondering about the NEW Detail Plates from Memory Box?  I showed a Christmas card last year with the Elliana set… so pretty but this January 2015 release has several more!  More toys!  YAY!

I made a video over the weekend because so many have questions about how to use them.  I hope this helps… it’s basically just embossing.

Here’s the video… be sure to click the gear after you hit play and switch to HD… the picture  is so much sharper and click the frame to watch it big… easier to see the action and results!

I LOVE all the heart dies in this release!  I used the Loving Hearts Arch and the Heart Waterfall for the heart between the two Love words. The LOVE words are from the NEW Open Studio Line, the die set called All About Love.

I kept the leftover stenciled piece from die cutting the rectange on the card in this post, HERE, and trimmed off a sliver to glue on to the left side of my top fold A2 card base.

I die cut the Loving Hearts Arch twice, once in white and once in red.  I glued the white arch to the kraft card base and then glued in the red hearts with Tombow Mono Multi glue.

A sliver of red cardstock over where the arch and dot strip meet.  Easy to trim a strip on your paper trimmer and glue it on with a thin line of the same glue.

Then some red/white twine tied in a knot across the top fold! All my favorite colors and things!

I love Christmas… tomorrow our family will gather and we’ll start our Christmas Eve celebration by putting out the nativity set.  Each child will pick a character and place it in the scene when we come to that part of the scripture.  Every once in awhile through the rest of the day and even through the year they will talk about it… makes my heart happy!

This is the card I sent to our daughters/families.  Inspired by Dina from the IO design team.

I sprayed and spattered white linen on the blue background.  The grass die is from poppystamps…the fence and nativity from Impression Obsession.

I edged the kraft with Gathered Twigs Distress ink.

On the inside, I used the sentiment, ‘joy to the world’ from a Tim Holtz Sizzlet long die.

I hope to get pictures of the tags I’ve been making…eek… it’s been so dark here the last few days…come on snow!  We’re had rain and dreary…weird for Iowa!  Oh well, when you’re busy, you hardly notice the weather!

I’ve had this card made for a couple weeks and just now remembering to get it posted!  I saw the challenge is snow this week at CASology and it jogged my brain! yay!  So I’m linking up there!

A glittery, shiny, CAS card, perfect for a white Christmas!  Come on snow! haha

And on the inside bottom right I die cut a silver snowflake and glued it partially in the corner… pretty!  Forgot to take a picture of that though!

LOVE these new poppystamps word dies!  They are just gorgeous cuts!  LOVE them, I do!

The Simon Says Stamps snowflakes are gorgeous too and cut in the silver metallic that I didn’t take a picture of…perfect!  Fire me as a photographer! lol

I used the Perfect Layers Rulers to cut the silver mat, then adhered the layers to a white card-base.

This turned out to be a pretty much an A7 size card… hehe

Sweet Christmas childhood memories… I’m sure we all had a rocking horse of some kind or other!   This cutie is one of the dies from the Magnolia DooHickeys Club Kit #2, All I Want For Christmas.   It is chock full of cuteness!  Here’s the tag I made with the Santa and border that are also part of  the kit.  Lots of dies for a great price and a little magazine full of ideas too!  OH, almost forgot!  The little lace piece is another die in the kit… see… tons more too!

I die cut the Rocking Horse die from white card-stock and colored it with Copics. The words happy and christmas are from Paper Smooches.

Last Friday at our area stamp club meeting we swapped Christmas tags.  I made two and let the gal that got my name choose which one she wanted.

I made a bookmark style tag with Paper Smooches dies and the PTI Tinsel and Tags set and then a Snowglobe style tag with PTI Tinsel and Tags set, the Winter die and snowglobe die.
