Coloring Card Set and Crochet Basket for Mother’s Day Gift…

Look at this adorable little basket! I wanted to give my mother in law a Coloring Card Kit for Mother’s Day so I stamped a bunch of cards and ordered the Zig Brushables Markers from Hobby Lobby. I love these brush markers…BOTH ends are brush tips! One end is one color and the other end is another color! So in the pack of 12 you get 24 colors! Pretty colors too! Win!

Oops…took a few pictures before we took this over to her house but I didn’t realize I was focusing on the bow in all of them. lol Oh well, I think you can see the markers ok.

The little tag is from Papertrey Ink and I tied on a roll of Doodlebug Washi tape.

Here’s the cards I stamped for the kit…two of each one. Penny Black, Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp images.

I die cut the felt flowers with Memory Box dies out of Taylored Expressions Felt. I used dies from 3 flower sets, Plush Gardenia, Plush Ranunculus and Plus Moda Petals. They all have holes in the center so it was easy to put the centers through the layers.

One of our daughters crocheted the basket for me following this tutorial online HERE… so cute!

A snow-globe kind of birthday card…

I had fun using some Papertrey Ink dies and Taylored Expressions stamps to make this card. A Distress ink background with ink spatters…some copic coloring and fussy cutting and it was ready to put together.

A very fun shape card and the first time for me to use this stamp set! So I’m linking up to Darnell’s NBUS challenge #10! yay!

The challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges blog is a card with an animal too…count me in!

Over at Jingle Belles Challenge the theme is ‘let the flakes fall where they may’ So cute!

It could’ve easy been a shaker but I like it a lot this way too! Just making paper snow this year! I think the snow is all going north of us. hehe Sorry northerners!

PTI Christmas Card for stamp club

Hi everyone! Here’s the card I made for our area stamp club gals! PTI (Papertrey Ink) had a challenge going on for assembly line card making so I had to enter. hehe

Dorothy had my name in the gift exchange and she gave me this old Santa Memory Box stamp that I wanted. She got it last year in the club gift exchange! It was so fun to open it and see she’d given him up for me! One of the other things in the package was this Sizzix tree die that I used on a thanks card that I mailed to her. Hopefully she’ll get it before she sees this! hehe A fun time was had by all! We missed the gals that couldn’t be there though!

Happy Birthday with PTI Twig Wreath…

Hi everyone! I needed a birthday card for stamp club yesterday afternoon so I got up determined to use some stamps and dies I hadn’t used yet! That was a decision in and of itself! lol

I settled on this Twig Wreath set from Papertrey Ink. Watch out though if you buy it, the dies aren’t open. So that’s a lot of time spent making templates to cut what you stamped! ugh.

I did an ink smooshed background with Fossilized Amber Distress ink on Watercolor paper. I linked to the paper section of SLS. WOW… look at all the options Cindy has to offer! Then stamped the images in Picked Raspberry, Broken China and Peeled Paint Distress inks.

I used mounting squares on the flowers and glued the wreath down with Mono Multi glue. Tied on some twine.

You’ll notice the edge around the perimeter of the card. I use an Avery Elle Rectangle die that is the exact size of the card-base… I love the finished look it gives the card. I don’t see it as still available to link to though. THIS set from Simon Says Stamp shows the largest die is the size of a card front though.

A little more Christmas…

I really enjoyed playing with this Spruce and Sprigs set from Papertrey ink after seeing what their design team did with it. I wish I’d had more time to make more! : )

So festive. I used Stampin Up’s Real Red ink, Peeled Paint and Pine Needles Distress Inks. Then I brushed in a little Copic Sketch marker.

So I moved on to making Gift tags…they always make me happy. I’m trying to use up wrapping paper so I can buy new again, so I ended up with a variety of tags trying to match the wrapping paper.

Hero Arts Elf stamp and die set, Merry and Bright circle tag set, Dotted Merry is a poppystamps die and Magnolia dies.

Sloppy, sketchy Copic coloring…Santa and Sleigh are from Taylored Expressions.

Pretty sure this Holly stamp and die is from Papertrey Ink.

Some wood mounted stamps from Inkadinkado and the sentiment inside from MFT. The tag is from Papertrey Ink.

Tag from MFT and the sentiment from Stampers Anonymous.

More sloppy, sketchy coloring on this Reverse Confetti Santa and Rudolph.

I had fun making and I think the kids all enjoyed their gifts! I know the adults did! : ) Lots of smiles and memories.

Merry Monday, Memory Box, Make It Monday – Motif, Papertrey Ink…

Almost a last minute loo-loo here…. whew! I couldn’t just not play in the Merry Monday Challenge – use a reindeer!

So here’s my cutie little Memory Box ‘reindeer’ called Happy Fawn. I colored him with Copics and then built a scene for him to live in.

I die cut the Circle Forest die in white cardstock, recut it with a pinpoint circle layer die to make it the right size, mounted a couple extra trees in the snow… die cut the frame first with the Pinpoint Circle Layers die, , then recut it with the Shaker Circle Frames die. That way I still had the little dots, although I think I would’ve liked it just as well with just the frame cut! : )

I used one of the Snowglobe Bases dies, cut in woodgrain cardstock. Adhered everything to a top folded A2 card base and stamped the sentiment from Into The Words clear stamp set. The holly leaves and berries are from the Mini Holly Leaves die set.

I’ll tell you how I made the sky sometime this week in another post.

Then I watched the Papertrey Ink Video Monday on motif building…well…I’ve been thinking about it most of the week! ugh! I just don’t have enough of their stamps for the center motif, so being me, I used dies so I’m linking up! I hope it counts! lol CAS!

Yes, we’ve got snow! All of the dies I used are from Papertrey Ink. I cut the word snow away from one of the dies that says Let It Snow.

I think the snowflake center and flakes are from the Tinsel and Tags set, can’t remember for sure.

This is one of the churches across from us…we live on a corner. Sympathy for ppl that live on the corner please?! lol
