Simon Says Stamp Cheer and Joy Release Card…

Hi cardmakers and friends. I have a fairly simple card to share with you… well, I kept adding things! lol

Today is the new release at Simon Says Stamp… it’s festive and Christmasy for the most part! I’ll link you up below to what I used.

The new stamp they sent me to show is the background here, Leaves and Berries Cling Mount Stamp.

I gold heat embossed it and then blended on 3 colors of Distress Oxide Ink. Spiced Marmalade, Twisted Citron and Shaded Lilac. Weird… the Lilac kinda wiped of when I went over it to get the ink off the heat embossed gold. I barely used any lilac though… good thing! haha I spattered with water drops using the Tim Holtz mister water bottle.

Then I just painted in the leaves and berries with the Gansai Tambi watercolors that I still had out on my desk. Oh, I stamped on Strathmore 400/Best the brown pad of watercolor paper.

I die cut the panel with SSS Stitched Rectangles.

I embossed in Ranger Detail gold, the background and the sentiment. ‘Thankful for you’ is from the SSS Autumn Greetings clear stamp set.

I used three small circle cuts from the New Memory Box Stylish Frame Trio die set. I die cut them in TE Premium cardstock, links below, Candy Corn, Granny Smith and Peapod.

I die cut leaves from the cardstocks too using the New poppystamps Autumn Leaf Set. Then I added some small enamel dots.

And that’s it!

Hi everyone! I know, I know… yes this one is a napkin technique card (see the technique here) but the card below is not! I don’t have another one in the works! lol I do love it so much though!

I’ll link up the dies I used below instead of typing it all out here…

I think this one has a retro feel to it. Super festive! This Bazzill Mint Julep cardstock is just so fun and unusual to me.

So here’s an oxide background tall card, it fits in a standard #10 business size envelope. You can buy these that look nice like stationery too… they don’t have to be the kind that look like you’d send a bill or payment in. lol

I inlaid these die cuts in the tall card panel. I use scor-tape on the back to hold the die cuts in place.

I tried to capture the sparkle of the glitter cardstock but you know how it is, so much better IRL even with a good camera! Course there’s the operator behind the camera. haha

I heat embossed the sentiments on black cardstock with white powder.

The background is Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire and a little Black Soot on the edges.

It’s been cooler here lately…I was beginning to wonder! 😀

Hi everyone! I’ve been playing with Dave’s napkin die cutting technique again! I finished this one up and then I have one more started I’ll post soon! I LOVE this technique and how it looks finished. My pictures don’t do this card justice! 😀

Spellbinders Limited Edition, Merry Everything Christmas Kit Cards…

Hi cardmakers and friends! My post today is something a little unusual for me! Stick with me and keep scrolling! Five cards today and one is a die cut card from this fun, new kit from Spellbinders!

The Merry Everything Christmas Kit is an ENORMOUS holiday kit that contains OVER 630 PIECES. This gorgeous traditional holiday themed kit can create 25+ Cards, 24+ Tags and so much more. Put your creative juices to work to come up with so many more holiday projects. Plus, check out the project tutorial included in the kit along with all the fun ideas on the kit link, on the SB blog and IG. This card kit is NOT a part of our Clubs, anyone can purchase it, there’s no need to join the Club. YAY!

To add a little detail to my mistletoe card, I scored with my scor-pal a long the lines of the bow and shaped it a little with my fingers. I inked around the focal image with Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Inks and the mini ink blending tools. I added a little glitter pen to the berries but then scraped it mostly off because it covered up the red.

There is a cute car and tree die set in this kit! I always love cars and trees at Christmas, don’t you?! hehe

I die cut both tree pieces, folded the branch piece in half and colored the trunk with a brown marker. I cut the backer tree piece in half and glued them together and then to the car… so cute! Several other pieces and ways to use the tree in the set also!

Tis the Season is a super cute stamp from the sentiment stamp set that comes in the kit. Super cute and stamped very nicely with Ranger Archival Black ink.

AND… the background paper is from the 6×6 paper pad that comes in the kit!

This card panel …. so beautifully CAS (clean and simple), I just left it that way! I did corner round the cardbase corners… that is all! I know, a cheater card for sure! hoho

Some more of the ephemera and paper from the kit. All I added was gold stickles to the poinsettia center and white gel pen on some of the pieces. Oh, I did edge the papers and the Santa Bingo piece with ink.

On this one, the noel is a sticker from the kit, the hohoho is from a chipboard sticker set in the kit, the tag is one of several tag designs from the kit…so much festive goodness to create with in the kit! So many things I didn’t use yet! :O

There’s even double sided tape and mounting foam squares and dots and the cardstock is really nice… a perfect red in there!

Two poppystamps and Memory Box Autumn Cards…

Hi everyone! Some Autumn cards I’ve made and haven’t gotten posted yet!

The poppystamps Autumn Leaves Sidekick Frame and Stencil is so pretty! There’s also two die sets of leaves that match this die… I’ll link to them below in case you’re interested.

The sentiment I used this time is from poppystamps Autumn Leaves clear set.

I used Oxide inks to blend the rectangle I stamped on.

The leaves were blended with oxide inks but I wasn’t happy with them so I colored over them with Copics!

The background behind the frame I watercolored with regular distress inks.

My next card ended up being one thing after another! I watercolored a background with regular distress inks but it was pretty dark. I tried stamping the leaves stamp from the Memory Box Grateful Autumn stamp set directly on it but I didn’t like it. So I gold heat embossed a piece of vellum and adhered it to the background with teeny lines of glue. I wasn’t thrilled with that either so I colored the leaves directly on the front of the vellum with Copics! Copics to the rescue again! lol

I want to see what I can come up with this stamp set with another try! It’s so pretty and so many amazing stamps and sentiments in the set!
