Super cute Suzie Q from Printworks…

PamSparksSuzieQPW700

Hi everyone!  It seems like it’s been some time since I blogged a card!  eek!  It has been!  I’ve been making cards though and will have a Memory Box surprise to share with you soon!

This SUPER cute Suzie Q snow gal from Printworks has just been on the desk staring at me, waiting for me to ink and color her up since before Christmas!  She’s just in time for Valentines Day!

Have you heard about the NEW Chameleon Markers?  That’s what I colored with!  Very cool and my favorite thing today was how easy it was to color her cheeks!  I used the RED marker!  I know…crazy cool!

AND of course I used my Perfect Layers mini Rulers and cutting mat for layering up the papers!  Thee best things ever!  Truly are time saving in lining up and getting everything ‘perfect’!  Shop through my links and use my code to save 10%

Super cute new sentiments too… on the outside and on the inside!  One of the new snowflakes… AND Printworks is having a sale JUST TODAY!  I’ll add the details at the end of my post.  If you don’t make the sale today, shop anytime and use the code in my sidebar to save!

This is the inside of the card…

PamSparksSuzieQInside

lovin’ this MME Crush 6×6 paper pad too!  I haven’t purchased pattern paper since….fortunately my memory is bad! lol   and the snowflake paper clips?!  oh my, had to have them! 5 in a pack, so two packs please! lol

oops! Beware taking pictures of the inside with vellum sticking off the top of your card front. When you fold it back and crease it…well, you get a nice line that wasn’t there before!  Like I always say, “all of life is education”.  Applies to card making too! grrrr

Then I had to have something to hold the card up to photograph the inside cuz of course it STILL wouldn’t stand up even after creasing!  I’m proud of me.  I didn’t tear it apart and do it over! @@

Memory Box Open Studio dies…

PamSparksBannerILoveYou630

Hi everyone! Sharing another LOVE card with you on this pleasant Sunday in January!

I started out by cutting three of the NEW Open Studio Shaker Rectangle Frame dies and gluing them together with a narrow line of Tombow Mono Multi glue for the white frame.

Using the NEW Open Studio dies, A Lovely Smile, All About the Love and Amazing You dies I created the sentiment.

A heart from the NEW Open Studio set Cherub Hearts was trimmed a bit and glued to the frame.

Then I made the banner from the NEW Open Studio Banner Parade die set I love this set!  So many ways to be creative with it! Cut three times, layered together with mono multi glue and stuck on to the card with Scrapbook Adhesives mounting squares.

The hearts were all cut in red from the Banner Parade set also.

I edged the top folding A2 size kraft cardbase with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and the ink blending tool.

That’s it!  A CAS valentine to get you in the mood for ‘love’! haha

Memory Box Blog Blitz starts TODAY! and a video….

Are you wondering about the NEW Detail Plates from Memory Box?  I showed a Christmas card last year with the Elliana set… so pretty but this January 2015 release has several more!  More toys!  YAY!

I made a video over the weekend because so many have questions about how to use them.  I hope this helps… it’s basically just embossing.

Here’s the video… be sure to click the gear after you hit play and switch to HD… the picture  is so much sharper and click the frame to watch it big… easier to see the action and results!

Let me know if you have any questions…

I have a card for the Memory Box Blog Blitz that started today.  Click over to the Memory Box blog HERE and while you’re at it, check out the poppystamps blog HERE too!  They both have a blitz going on with a chance to win a die in each post… so comment on all the posts through Sunday!

I LOVE all the heart dies in this release!  I used the Loving Hearts Arch and the Heart Waterfall for the heart between the two Love words. The LOVE words are from the NEW Open Studio Line, the die set called All About Love.

PamSparksLoveLove3:630

I kept the leftover stenciled piece from die cutting the rectange on the card in this post, HERE, and trimmed off a sliver to glue on to the left side of my top fold A2 card base.

PamSparksLOVELOVEClose

I die cut the Loving Hearts Arch twice, once in white and once in red.  I glued the white arch to the kraft card base and then glued in the red hearts with Tombow Mono Multi glue.

A sliver of red cardstock over where the arch and dot strip meet.  Easy to trim a strip on your paper trimmer and glue it on with a thin line of the same glue.

Then some red/white twine tied in a knot across the top fold! All my favorite colors and things!

Jesus

It’s been a great year!  Sharing with friends old and new! Our family is looking forward to more blessings in 2015!  Grandchild #17 is due mid March! So much to be thankful for but at the same time I can’t help but be touched by the agony of loss in Asia right now. My heart goes out to the families that have lost loved ones.  It has touched our design team for Tilda’s Town. Joe Shien Shien’s brother and family from Indonesia were on that plane.  It’s been so neat to see the stamping community from all over the world reaching out to her and surrounding her with love and prayers. Thank you all for your friendship and support.  Even though we are miles apart, we span the distance with our caring, supportive community.  God bless you all!  Thank you for being there!
