Christmas in July with Spellbinders Large Die of the Month! Super CUTE!

Hi everyone!  It’s hard to believe we’re half way through 2023!  It’s nice to get a head start on Christmas cards though!

You have to check out this NEW die set from Spellbinders Papercrafts!  I was so tickled to see it!  So many favorite things to create with for Christmas!

I have too many pictures again. hohoho

I made this card a little larger than A2 size. It ended up 5 ⅛ in x 6 ⅜ in.

White cardbase, read panel, light green panel then an embossed dark green panel.  I love this pine branch embossing folder!  It comes in two sizes! I used the Forevergreen A2 size folder.  In the Pines is the 8 ½ in. x 5 ½ in. size.

I die cut all the pieces and assembled. I love that there’s candy cane stripes to glue on and multiple berries on dies.  I pretty much used everything except the super cute little ornaments and bow!  I will use them on another card for sure!

I added a long rectangle from the SB Precision Layering Mini Slimline B set die cut in woodgrain cardstock…like the stocking is hung from a fireplace mantle.

The ginger is totally charming.  I added white glaze pen to the icing, eyes, buttons and mouth.  It looks so cool in real life.

If this Large Die of the Month club interests you….click or tap over HERE and check it out!  It’s such a great deal and you’ll find all the particulars about joining HERE.

I’ll be back with two or three more posts using July clubs soon!

Lawn Fawn Snowball Fight Platform Pop-Up Interactive Card…

Hi everyone! I have an end of Winter card to share today!  Maybe an end to Winter… haha!

I made this for our youngest grandson’s 8th birthday…he loves the outdoors!

Linking to Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 144 – All Things Birthday

I started by making the platform pop-up. I LOVE Lawn Fawn’s interactive die sets!  They are so meticulously made AND made in the USA!  I have used this set so many times since I purchased it…best purchase ever!  It’s even easy to walk the kids through making it!

It always takes me a little time deciding what to use.  I made a set using Doodlebug Design stickers after seeing one of their design team members cards… So so cute!

Kelly from Lawn Fawn always makes excellent videos for walking you through construction too!  I was totally inspired by the LF team in creating this card.  The how to put the Platform Pop-up together video is HERE.

I stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with sketch copic markers.  White gel pen for accenting here and there.

For the snow hills I used the curved borders from the LF Shadow Box Card and Shadow Box Card Theather Add-on.  Trimming them to fit the front and inside.

The sign on the front is from the Berry Special stamp set and die set.

The pattern paper I used is from LF also… I don’t see it in the store anymore though.

I know I’ve shown this before in my other posts but I love how easy it collapses and fits in an A6 or A7 envelope!

You can collapse it either up or down!

The kids love it!  I love it! ❤

I hope you’re inspired to try it!  Thank you so much for stopping by twice this week!  I appreciate it!

Memory Box Plaid Winter Scene Birthday Card…

Hello to all, snow or no snow! The birthdays keep coming!

I started with Memory Box Circle dies, cutting a smaller circle in black cardstock and using the panel, not the cut out circle.  Then I cut out a larger circle in a kraft A2 size panel with an eighth inch larger Memory Box die.  I’ll link the ones I used below.

I die cut the snow puffs with poppystamps Whittle Cloud Border die and white cardstock.

I used a square of Memory Box Woodsy Plaid paper to fit behind the circle panels.  I adhered everything together flat for mailing, except the sled.

Memory Box Little Trees dies cut from black cardstock and glued on flat.

Memory Box Feathery Snowflake Discs from white cardstock and glued on just in the centers.  (I just used the flakes)

For the sled I used Memory Box Vintage Sled #94495 from 2020.  Die cut in kraft and black cardstocks, then glued together and mounted to the card with the very thin mounting tape I’m always raving that I love!

The sentiment on the front is from Your Next Stamp set called Silly Monsters Chill Out.  At first I was going to use the images from the set and color but then I changed my mind and went with the sled.

On the inside is a happy birthday sentiment.

It turned out CAS but I was happy with it!  I hope it inspires you to create something Winter-ish!

MFT Cash Card Kit Birthday Card…

Hi everyone! Super fun birthday cards today.

I couldn’t resist using the cash card kit again.  This is the third one and I have a short video to share of it and I’ll post a picture of the first two I made with the kit also.

Here’s the back… I signed it back here and stamped the date.

Then I have this bag die that fits a card so I die cut it in heavy printer paper and decorated it with Doodlebug Washi Tape…it was hand delivered.  It fits all the way down in, I just left it up for the picture.

Here’s a video of it…tap/click to enlarge to get the full resolution/sharpness!  ❤  It’s better quality on Instagram if you want to click over… It should let you watch without making an account.

HERE

ok – I see what the deal is with the video… you have to click the sliders and choose high quality after you click the outside bracket symbol to the far bottom right to enlarge it. ugh.  I wish it would just load it at a decent size and quality to watch without clicking!  But that’s tech for you, always thinking they’re making it better and we’re just clicking, clicking!  waaahhh! rme.  Then you have to hit the play arrow in the bottom left corner and if you want to replay it, hit the curved arrow in the same corner!  That’s my computer anyway. I’ll check it on the phone.

Here’s a picture of the first two I made for the two of our grandsons with birthdays in December.  I didn’t even take a picture of the back I guess.  December turns into a blur around here!

The kids are loving these cards!  I’ll link to what I used below!

Thanks for stopping by and holler if you have any questions!

Thank you for shopping through my links!  I truly do appreciate it!

I used an old Memory Box die from 2016, Snowflake Ring #99494.  It’s 3.3 x 3.3 inches.  This die, HERE, would work, you could cover the flowers with snowflakes!  It’s the same size.  HERE’S the Circle Category if you’d want to check out the possibilities!  or this new one HERE might work!

Spellbinders Scenic Poinsettias Card…

Hi everyone!  I’m still here!  Down to the wire trying to do all the things!  I made this card a few weeks ago and today I decided I was going to get it posted finally!

I LOVE this gorgeous embossing folder from Spellbinders.

I was inspired by Annie HERE

I started out like she describes but I went back after and added some green color pencil for the berry stems and holly leaves.

For my die cuts I used the Spellbinders Holiday Blooms die set.   I remembered I had all the watercolor backgrounds from following Jill Foster’s background video for the new Penny Black release for Christmas!  I used them for die cutting and I’m so happy with how well they go with the ink blended embossing!

The hot foiled Merry Christmas Sentiment is also from Spellbinders.  I’ll link below!

Thank you so much for coming over to visit my blog!  Tonight we have a grandkids choir concert.  They’re part of a homeschool choir with an excellent director who has high expectations so it’s always a beautiful and  a blessed event for us.  Can’t wait! ❤
