Yesterday was day one of the Clean and Simple Cardmaking 2 Class…. the heart tree card is my take on the homework we were assigned…

I used five sets from Paper Smooches (to get enough different hearts) and a couple older clear sets from Hero Arts for the birdie and the sentiments.   Links below to the Paper Smooches sets…

Dot pattern paper is by Paper Studio.  The main image mat is cut with the Perfect Layers tools!  Link in the sidebar or below in the supply links.

Next up is a stack of snowman ATC’s (artist trading cards).  The snowman image is from Artistic Outpost, He is painted with Distress reinkers,  the sentiment from Paper Smooches,  the snowflake border is a Martha Stewart punch and the washi tape is from My Minds Eye!  Cute!  love him!

This ATC is 2 1/2 in. x 3 1/2 in.

It’s a dreary day here (weather wise)… working on laundry…need to send a couple cards (imagine that)!  Are you like me?  Making cards but have a hard time getting them in the mail… ugh! Oh and then back to class!  I do love CAS cards almost as much as coloring cards!   Thanks for looking at my post again… I love hearing from you and seeing what you’re up to! Oh WOW! Have you seen the new Memory Box dies? Here’s a short video from BlueMoon Scrapbooking…at the end, you’ll see tons more and a new longer size too! Yikes… I can see it’s going to be hard to “be good” this year! HERE they are in the store.  Can’t wait to get to using some of them. I have four of the new ones so far (I had to have the pine needle border)  but I’m sure I will be tempted to get more! ; )   Free ship @ $50 for US 48 states and special International rates too!  Blue Moon has awesome customer service too!

Here’s a snowman card I made for the Snowman swap at stamp club last Friday….inspired by different ones I’ve seen online… so cute sharing hearts!

I used a snowman Sizzix die that is discontinued… I found him on ebay last year…good luck ‘hunting’ him down!  The name on the die is just ‘Snowman’ and the item # is 656299.

The music is a Penny Black stamp HERE.  I stamped it twice.. masked the bottom and stamped the head, then stamped again on his body.  Old Hyglo heart punch and Quickutz mini Studio alphabet for the X and O.  Buttons from Lasting Impressions for paper and pattern paper is old Basic Grey Blush I think.  Button on the scarf is from  My Favorite Things Die-namics Button die HERE.  Hemp is from the Scrapping Center HERE.  Love this stuff, it’s just the right weight… comes in other colors too.   : )

I’m working on catching up with emails and comments!  I’m coming to visit you soon!  Today is Tim’s birthday and I need to make a card for the Don and Daisy blog tomorrow and then hopefully it’ll slow down and I can catch up again! woohoo!  I should be making Tim a card… ugh. oops.  I have some steak for supper! hehe

Lawn Fawn – Snowman…

I’ve been wanting to use my Lawn Fawn stamps and earlier this week when a couple of our granddaughters and their friend were over, we played with them!   So fun!

Of course my snowman had to be holding a heart! (MS border punch)   I used a Magnolia DooHickeys tree die and limeade twine.

I stamped on Hammermill 80# color copy cover paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.  I used my Perfect Paper Layers Tools to matt the image and MFT Die-namics cloud dies for the snow!   The greens are Forest green , Apple Cider and Pear green.   The blues are Twilight Sky and Midnight Blue.  I used Flexmarkers for the grays… Blue Grey 1, 2, 3, 4.   Can’t remember the browns on the birdie.  The orange is pumpkin.

Off to make a card for tomorrow’s Sweet Stamping Pixies Post!  It’s a rainy day here… we have to go buy a new dishwasher.  I love my old Maytag… it does such a great job!  oh why, did it have to start leaking?! boohoo   We bought it new when we moved here over 20 years ago… I suppose that is why! lol  Anyone love the new Maytags?  What to buy???

You’ve lost your mitten?

Only the first of November and this cute snowman has already lost a mitten!   I did find with the girls in their growing up years that when it was time to go outside we needed lots of mittens and we were glad we had radiators/hot water heat.  They always had mittens laying on them drying!  I made a front panel step card and used CC Designs Cutters dottie trim and clouds dies for snow!  I LOVE it!  I was inspired to use the clouds for snow by this card that Jay Jay created, it’s on her blog HERE.  Then the adorable NEW Mittens die to go with the adorable NEW snowman!  It embosses the lines too!  I filled them in with white pen.  Hero Arts little clear gems here and there just add so much!

oh Yes,  were just going to ask about the sentiments?  They are NEW this month too!  Snowman Sayings!  You will want them… I can here you groaning… lol!    Pure Winter FUN!

I had to use the new Tim Holtz mini tree die…it’s a great size!  whoo hoo!  Cosmo Cricket 6×6 Winter pad from last year… is it called Mitten Weather?  I edged a some of the pieces with the new Twig Distress ink from the Fall Limited Edition set in the store HERE.
