Start HERE…

Growing up we didn’t have a TV until I was in 9th grade… we played outside every spare minute and when we were inside we played church, library, store, school and oh, I loved playing table games! So that’s the first thing I thought of when I saw these new images for July illustrated by Christine Wooden. They’re called Meoples… well… that immediately brought to mind because of the rhyme…the pre-school Sunday School song where we locked our fingers, made a steeple and sang open the door and see all the people! Well, that translated to see all the Meoples in my mind! lol Next it translated to a game board! So here you have it from a non-candy eating person… Candyland meets the Meoples!!! Start HERE!

An ATC and two tags…

Merry Christmas to all!  Every year I’m more amazed at how fast time goes by!  ssssshhhh I don’t want to admit it’s because I’m older and just slower! pout!

Here’s an ATC (artist trading card) I just made for a “four for four” mail swap…had fun with the  In the Meadow stamps and dies from PTI (Papertrey Ink).  The Winter Town stamp is from Hero Arts.  I used Distress stains to ink up the stamp… can’t remember which two now…ugh!   Frosted Lace stickles for the glitter.

For stamping and die cutting the sledder, here’s what I did… I die cut the sledder,  tacked it down with a little tape to my craft mat.  Used the stamp a ma jig to stamp the image on the die cut.  I tried stamping it first and then cutting but I just couldn’t get it lined up good enough to suit me that way.  The partial silhouette of the snowman is an older Stampin Up punch. The sentiment is from PTI also.

A couple gift tags…

This was for our oldest daughter, Heather.  Her birthday is Christmas Day.  The nurses had sewn up flannel stockings for the Christmas Day babies…I have photos of her as a baby in that stocking.  When this Tilda image came out,  I had to have it!  Tilda is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.  Hair E30, 15, 08. 17 and 18 or 19,  can’t remember at the moment.  Skin E000, 00, 21 and cheeks diluted R20.  Green BG93, 96, Red W3, R35, 37, 39 and 59.  Fluff E40,41, 42, 43 and a white gel pen.

I stamped this Hero Arts typewriter on kraft card-stock and on natural card-stock too.  I cut out the natural and adhered it to the typewriter after I stamped the message on it with the stamp a ma jig.  The two holly leaves are an EK Success punch and the bow is an old quickutz die.

I could go on creating for Christmas for months and still have new stuff to use!  Crazy!  My favorite time of year!  What a mess I have in my stamp room! EEK!  oh well,  I’m resting up today and enjoying the Christmas tree a little bit longer!

Here’s what 1800 lights on a 9 foot Christmas tree look like at night and it didn’t tip over once this year!  yea! lol  (my photo skills don’t do it justice!)

Merry Christmas and God bless you!  I appreciate your friendship and support through this blog!

You’re gonna love this die!!!

Look at how pretty and frilly the new CC Designs Cutters Leafy Branches die is!!!  The perfect filler for flower embellishing on cards!!  YEA!  I LOVE it and you will too!   The other great thing about it is….there are two branches on the die…one goes one direction and the other goes the other direction…none of this having to turn it over after it’s cut and looking different!!!  rah, rah, rah!  Thanks Christine (CC Designs isllustrator)!  It’s just what I wanted!

Another new die I used today is the Phlox flower…three sizes… so pretty!!!  I love it as a Poinsettia!   The Leaves die is from an earlier release,  oh,  you remember what I told you about it from an earlier post?!  You don’t want me to go into cheering mode?! lol  So fun to work with! They cut wonderfully!  Really, truly and they come out of the die!

The “with love” sentiment is NEW this month from CC Designs Amy R Stamps, called Heart-y Sayings!  A very cool set indeed! I used Simple Stories Christmas 6×6 pattern paper pad… Quickutz holly photo turns die and a red brad.  Little pearls from Hero Arts that I dyed with Adirondack alcohol ink.  Bazzill card-stock to die cut the flowers and leaves.

Today’s our 36th Wedding Anniversary!  Where does the time go!  I thank God every day for Tim!  He’s the best!   It’s snowing here… I know that will make some of you very jealous…really?  hehe  Not much yet but enough to make it look so pretty.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Anya’s Birthday card…

Our granddaughter Anya turned six yesterday and the family birthday party is tomorrow , we have three birthdays this month…so two more cards coming soon!

This cutie stamp’s name is “looking at you” from Stampavie!  So cute and so like Anya IRL!

The next picture shows my clever little trick to make the easel card stopper!  I LOVE it!

Do you see it?  I used two circle punches and a Quickutz flower die and an Amy R’s birthday sentiment, “birthday girl”.  I scored the pink circle, folded it and stuck part under the layers on the bottom of the card.  The green circle I cut off so it wouldn’t be too thick under the layers… cool… I’m sure I’ll be doing this again.  It’s just like a card “stop sign”! lol

Here’s a close up of “looking at you”…

Colored with Copic Sketch Markers – Hair YR30, 31, 23, 24 – shirt and socks R81, 83, 85 – pants & shoes E40, 41, 42, 43, 44 – butterfly BG0000, 000, 01, 02.  Pattern paper by Jillibean Soup (it’s on sale!). Cardstock is from Prism.  Hug Snug seam binding.  Sentiment stamps, Versafine ink, Magnolia Dragonfly die, Spellbinders dies, Memento inks applied with ink blending tool to sky (summer sky)  and grass (pear tart, new sprout and bamboo leaves) … links below.

Linking my card up to a couple challenge blogs…

Papertake Weekly – anything goes with the optional circle…that’d be my stopper! : ))

Flutter By Wednesday – anything goes with a butterfly

Stamps and stuff I used on Anya’s card…

Thanks for stopping by!  Had a good week working on my stamp room,  just to easy to make piles of stuff!  One of these days I want to show you what I did with my clear stamp sets too!
