CC Designs School Hansel…

This is School Hansel… can you just hear the story about why the paper is crumpled?  The puppy got it!  Hansel is one of the new images for August, illustrated by Christine Wooden for CC Designs.  He was really fun to color!  The pencil he’s sitting on, the “write on” sentiment and the two tickets are from the new for August, School Logos set. The tickets are cut out using the Ticket die.

I used two of the new for August CC Designs Cutters dies,  the banner and the apple.  I told Christine about my banner on this card and that we needed it as a die and this is the month!  YEA!  Lots of potential for paper fun again!  For this card I wanted it to be like the chalkboards we had when I was growing up!

School Hansel and his pencil are stamped on Letraset cartridge card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers.   The pattern papers I used are from the Basic Grey 6×6 Oxford pad. The Typewriter die cut letters are a Tim Holtz Sizzlet die called Typeset.  My paper pieces are all edged with Distress ink and the ink blending tool… layers are cut with the Perfect Layers Tools…

I’m not writing the ATS blog posts anymore but you’ll still find links to all the new stamps and dies in my posts here!  Thank you!

Thanks for stopping by today!

CC Designs Cupcake Trevor celebrates!

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Sugarplums Cupcake Trevor and Cupcake Emma are showing off!  Bring on the candles and cake!  One of our grandson’s just turned two and he sure was good at blowing out those two candles!  Breanna used a construction theme for the party and it was so cute with brownies coming out of that digger! (or whatever that is!)  = )

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

I stamped Cupcake Trevor on Hammermill Color Copy 80# Cover card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers.

I used a lot of CC Designs Cutters dies and jazzed them up with crimpers, Copics and a white gel pen.

The Sentiment is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink on the same white card-stock and punched with a circle punch… edged with Walnut Stain Distress ink and the ink blending tool.

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

The cupcakes are from the new CC Designs Sweet Treat die! A very cool die, a cupcake, ice cream cone, confetti and frosting!  I love the five little circles (confetti)… stick them on with Tombow Mono Multi glue and the QK Quick Stik.  The Squiggles and Balloons are CC Designs Cutters dies also.  I crimped the cupcake papers with the “tube wringer” crimper and the strips of wavy frosting with the Quilling Creations mini crimper!  Love that thing!

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Cute kid!  His hair is colored with Copic E30’s series.  I stamped the cupcake on  colored card-stock, cut them out, crimped the bottom/cupcake paper and adhered them to the completed, colored Trevor. Oh,  glued on the five dots from the Sweet Treats die!

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

I cut the CC Designs Candle border in yellow and green… cut the flames off the green and glued it to the yellow.  I added white gel pen to the wick.

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Happy Birthday to YOU!

CCDesigns…A Little Bit of Magic Fairy and Sentiments

A fairy step card for you today!  oh what fun coloring these dinky little fairies from Sweet November… scroll down to my post from yesterday to see another card using this new kit!

I stamped using my stamp a ma jig for positioning… video under the tutorial tab above.  Papertrey Ink card-stock and Hammermill.  I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers.  The sentiments are stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink… the best stuff on the market for stamping sentiments… so clean and crisp… be sure to allow time for it to dry though… a few minutes at least.  I used the stamp a ma jig to position on the banner die cuts… how to in the same video.  I used the Versafine cube ink pad to just ink up part of the sentiment for the loving wishes.  I love all the stuff you can do with a handy, dandy stamp a ma jig!

Copic colors I used..

Dresses, BV 11, 13, 15 – YG 01, 03, 05 – R81, 83, 85 – B000, 01, 02
Hair,  C’s – E50, YR31, 21, 23, 26 – E30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 37 – E97, 08, 18, 19
Skin,  E0000, 000, 00, 11 and diluted R20 for cheeks

Capture the magic today and happy weekend to you!  I’m off to stamp club this afternoon.  It’s gonna take a trunk to pack up all this show and tell!  Wish you could come!  Wouldn’t that be fun!  I ran out of time last month to take any show and tell.  Hopefully I can get it together for today and pack up what I need for the program too!   Take care and talk to you soon!

“Thank you Fairy Much!” is from the NEW Fairy sentiment set and “have a magical day” is from the Magical Wishes Sentiment set.  I used my stamp a ma jig to stamp the sentiments… pull down the tutorial tab under the header picture for a video on how to use it to stamp sentiments.  The Mushrooms are from the Mushroom stamp set.

I had to use the Leafy Branch die too…

I used sketch #43 from Freshly Made Sketches  blog, HERE.

The fairies are stamped on Hammermill Color Copy 80# cover card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink  and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.

Start HERE…

Growing up we didn’t have a TV until I was in 9th grade… we played outside every spare minute and when we were inside we played church, library, store, school and oh, I loved playing table games! So that’s the first thing I thought of when I saw these new images for July illustrated by Christine Wooden. They’re called Meoples… well… that immediately brought to mind because of the rhyme…the pre-school Sunday School song where we locked our fingers, made a steeple and sang open the door and see all the people! Well, that translated to see all the Meoples in my mind! lol Next it translated to a game board! So here you have it from a non-candy eating person… Candyland meets the Meoples!!! Start HERE!

Designing with die cuts…

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

This is Sweet November’s Garden Girl Lucy!  I added flowers to her arms… the stamped image has her holding seeds!    So cute and fun to color!  Lucy is stamped on Hammermill Color Copy 80# Cover card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic sketch markers.  Skin – E0000, 000, 00, 11, 93 and a little R20 diluted with R00 for cheeks.  Hair – E50’s.  Hat and Apron – E 40’s.  Dress – BG70 and 72.   Mushrooms are the lower E30’s and E08, 11, 13 and 15… I know… way too many colors for tiny mushrooms! lol

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

I die cut the NEW 9 Petal Flower and Branch die multiple times and have it vining around the Spooky Fence die.  I made a video to show how I do the flowers.  The Mushroom Border is a CC Designs die cut and so is the Grass Border.  I put the Grass Border through the Quilling Creations mini crimper… love how it looks!

I  love using words on cards!  Just something about text and black and what it adds to the whole composition.   I have a how to video on stamping sentiments on cards with the Stamp a ma jig… pull down under the Tutorials tab under the blog header and you’ll see it listed there.

The sentiments I used today are from the NEW AmyR Stamps Sweet Sentiments set.
