On the Lake…

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

I told you I had more boats coming!  hehe   I’ve had this stamp for awhile, love the simplicity of it but then I wasn’t so sure about how to color it!  The water isn’t really this green IRL… figures… ugh! Here’s the stamp info… Memory Box F1770 On the Lake.

❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

As soon as I saw this last Memory Box die release I jumped right over to order!  I had to have this Honeyblossom Sprig!  I glued three cuts of green together then cut one in white and cut out the flowers and one in yellow and just used the centers.  I did shape the back side of the white flowers a little with my McGill Stylus set on a mouse pad.

The woodgrain background is an older stamp from Hero Arts (SS1000), stamped and edged with Walnut Stain Distress ink… it’s not big enough to cover the whole card so I stamp it four times… I’ve done this several times with cards that I’ve posted.  Love the random look of it.

The postal frame is a Spellbinders Nestabilities die.  The mat for the focal image is cut with the Perfect Layers 1/16th in. layer tool… the best investment I ever made for card making!

The postal cancellation and sentiment are from CC Designs and stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink. It stamps the sharpest and cleanest image for sentiments of any ink out there… so worth the money!   Bummer I forgot to take a picture of the inside.  I layered white on green to the kraft card with the Perfect Layers tools.  Then stamped two more sentiments from the same CC Designs All About Dad sentiment set.  Yes,  I used my other tool I can’t stamp with out!  My Stamp a ma jig!

I stamped “On the Lake” with Clearsnap Archival Wicked Black ink and  watercolored it with Ranger Distress markers… I really do love them!  They color and blend so nicely on the Canson Manga paper I’ve linked to below.    I appreciate it so much when you make your purchases through my links!!!  I’m encouraged to keep working and sharing for sure!  Thank YOU!

Memory Box and Poppystamps Grand Madison Window Card…

A lovely Spring day!  On the blog anyway! = )   Finally getting around to using some Memory Box and Poppystamps dies… This is the Grand Madison Window and the Echo Park 6×6 paper pad called For the Record.  I also used the Memory Box Spring Border die for the flowers behind the window.

Pretend you’re on the inside of the house looking outside…this is an adorable silhouette image from an old Stampin Up set… I bought it used… the container says Thankful Thoughts and the label on the stamp says 2003.

I scored the strip of polka dot paper every 1/8 th inch on my Martha Stewart score board… love that thing!  Then accordion folded it for the inside window treatment!  Imagine… a garden… yeah right, from a gal that can’t grow anything… hehe

One more picture that kinda shows the window plastic… I mounted the Spring border flat to the window… then used mounting squares to mount it to the piece of pattern cloud paper that I stamped on.

Cute!  It took me a couple days to think of how to finish off the front of the card after I finished the window part.  I’m happy with it!  whew! hehe

Now,  here’s a three minute video if you have time to watch. Just showing how I store my Memory Box and Poppystamps dies!  I’m thinking this would work for other dies too…even though they don’t come in envelopes you could use or make envelopes to store them the same way… the 6 x9 booklet type envys might work good…

Binder from Hobby Lobby… online HERE.

Daisy Knitting…so cute!

I can hear those needles clicking!  Two of our daughters knit and they make gorgeous things!  When I saw this image I loved it!  wonder what I was thinking though… none of our three daughters have blonde hair!   This is dear Daisy, from Marianne Designs Don and Daisy clear stamp line.

I used the Perfect Layers Rulers and matted everything in sight, just cuz I can, easily anymore!  LOVE them!  This ad is so fun to see the before and after!  It’s linky if you want to click over to the site and see more about it!  Some of you have watched my video where I’m using the rulers… it’s HERE.

The scissors die is from Marianne Designs also… I cut it out of silver mirror card-stock… love that shiny stuff!  It worked so neat!  I poked a hole and added a screw brad… it looks real!  I linked to JoannaSheen.com and the price exchanges out to $6.22 and that includes shipping!   Not sure where to send you for the mirror card-stock…maybe Marco’s paper.com?

I stamped Daisy with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers.  I used one of the new colors even!  BG 57!

I finally used a couple of the first Memory Box dies they came out with last year.  The button border and the button set.  Very fun!  I did stamp the dotted circles on them from an old clear set I have from Carolee’s Creations.  I layered the individual buttons on top of the button border die… they MATCH!  awesome!  The pattern paper is October Afternoon Farmhouse pad, the button card paper is from that pad also and the thread top embellishment is from Pink Paislee… I think it’s called Vintage Vogue but not completely sure about that.  I will try to find them to link up!

I’m linking my card to the Simon Says Stamp Wed. Challenge blog… 3 Different Papers

Have fun creating whatever you’re up to!  I’ve been attempting to organize a bit… ugh… why does it seem worse?!  It has to get better!  At least my desk has all the Christmas debris thrown away… you know, the die cuts you didn’t use etc. hehe

Thanks for stopping by!  I love hearing from you and seeing what you’re up to!

A couple side shots of the Front Panel Stair-step design – more on this style card on these posts, HERE and HERE.

I inked up the Stone Wall stamp and wiped away the butterflies, flower and grass, stamped it, inked it up again and wiped away then stamped with the stamp a ma jig to position them right the two images tight up against each other.  All I had to do was draw in a few lines then…I stamped a light dot pattern from Printworks with Pumice Stone Distress ink after I colored the wall with warm gray copics. The background sky is Chipped Sapphire Distress ink applied with the Tim Holtz ink blending tool on a craft sheet.  A few light spritzes with H2O and some teeny snowflakes and fine glass glitter from the Art Glittering System.  The snow on the trees is a Snow Marker from Marvy and a little fine glass glitter again.  The chipboard Christmas pieces are from K & Co. Brenda Walton Evergreen Icons.  The border piece inside is from K & Co. Elizabeth Brownd Visions of Christmas border pack.
