Birch Press Design Forest Canopy Card…

Hi everyone! Summer just isn’t Summer without at least one cherry card!  This NEW set from Birch Press Design has three layers and I used Layer A and Layer B.

I used two different green cardstocks, one red but I inked the little accent pieces on the berries with a little gathered twigs distress so they would shadow.

I love all the dimension!  I only glued the layers down around the edges.

I used the Birch Press Design Sugar Script Sentiments 1 hot foil plate and die set for the message.  Silver hot foil on black cardstock.

The sentiment is true!  🙂

I used a Hammermill white for the cardbase and inked it with Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Oxide Inks and ink blender brushes.

Doesn’t it scream Summer though?

Tim was telling me yesterday that the ‘heat’ is hitting us next week.  This gal is thankful for air conditioning!

Middle daughter said she was going to have a lot of peaches and one tree is almost ready!  Yummy! I love peach cobbler!  I hope I get some! lol

Spellbinders – Two Floral Stems Cards…

Hi everyone!  It’s Monday and I’m behind getting these two cards posted for Spellbinders!  I love how they turned out though!  Such pretty florals!

And the weather was right for me to get good photos!  YAY!

Very Clean and Simple designs and I’m sure these cards will get used!

I made a die cut Arch frame with the Essential Arches Etched Dies set.  I used two of the set and didn’t even tape them down! lol

I used the largest Arch die to make the shape card base.  I cut a cardbase 11 in. x 4.25 in., scored it at 5.5 in., folded it in half and placed the die on it so the very top isn’t cut.  Then I cut another single, complete arch the same size to tape over the top.

Then I glued on the kraft Arch frame and the die cut flowers.

This card is 3 ¾ in. wide and 5 ½ in. tall.  It’ll still fit in an A2 envelope.  Just a little narrower.  Fun!

I used one of the new Spellbinders Modern Stripes Hot Foil Plates with a brass looking hot foil.

I love the sentiments from this NEW Spellbinders Must-Have Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and Die set!  I used the same Hot Foil color to make them.

I’m going to get a lot of use from these florals!  Die cut, glue together and mount to the card! I used my favorite thin mounting tape.

Be sure to email or comment if you have any questions.  I’m tired today so I’m sure I’m forgetting something or more!

Memory Box Magnolia Blossom Trio and Vibrant Leaf Corner Card…

Hello! I had fun making some more magnolias this week!  Memory Box dies are so awesome to work with!

I used some old Bazzill cardstocks to get two tones but you could easy color the little pieces to get the same efect.

I ended up with a lot of pictures again…

I think this piece of pattern paper I used for the background is my favorite from the New Magnolia Grove 6×6 paper pad.

Not much to tell about this card… die cut, glue, hot foil and adhere the panel to an A2 cardbase.

I don’t know why but I really like this card!  The combination of the pretty papers, see the plaid from the NEW Magnolia Plaid 6×6 pad that I hot foiled and die cut with the Rectnalge Double Border Hot Foil Plate and A2 Rectangle Frames Die Set, and the pretty flowers with the Leaf corners…. love!

Unusual colors for me too…

Thinking about sending cards reminds me of the ones I need to get in the mail!  Do you have a pile on your desk that needs to go out too?

I hope this brings a little Spring beauty to your day!  It does to mine!

poppystamps Floral Vase Pop Up Easel Set Card…

Hello everyone! It’s Geranium season for hanging baskets around here!  Ferns on the front porch and Geraniums on the back porch.

They always inspire me to make a Geranium card!

This poppystamps Floral Vase Pop Up Easel is so cute!  It’s not huge, fits in an A2 size envelope but it’s slim and so dainty size wise.  I love it!

There’s not much to tell about it!  You just die cut the pieces, glue them together and onto the card!  I did use my favorite thin mounting tape for the vase and the sentiments.

I wrapped a little twine on it… can I make a card without twine?! lol

So sweet and cute with so many different flower dies in the set you can make any flower you want!

I used poppystamps Modest Greetings 2 Hot Foil and Cut die set and Memory Box Cardstock paper pads.

poppystamps easel cards are all so fun and easy and I love that they are easy to display too!  HERE‘s the Geranium I made last year with the basket easel card die set.

Memory Box New Marvelous Magnolia 3D Embossing Folders Cards…

Hello in hot foil on watercolor paper today!

Two cards to share with the same coloring idea.  I used watercolor crayons.  Do you remember those?  Do you have some stashed away in a drawer or cupboard?  It was really easy to do, color it on then go over it with a wet paint brush.

I started out by embossing the folder on watercolor paper…this picture is Strathmore.  I ended up using Memory Box Watercolor paper for the card with the plaid background.  My second card is Hammermill color copy cover cardstock.

I had to do it over because after I was done painting, I put it back in the folder and ran it through again but I didn’t get it lined up right.

The second time I didn’t run it through again after painting!  Learned my lesson! haha

I used the NEW Magnolia Plaid paper for the background and a strip of paper from the New Magnolia Grove paper pad under the sentiment.

Lines of foiling run through this plaid paper so I used Gold Mirror/Foil Cardstock to mat the embossed panel.  I die cut out the center of it so I can use it for something else.

I wanted to carry over the gold into my sentiment so I used the Hello from poppystamps Birthday Wishes Poe Script foil and cut die set.

I used Memory Box watercolor cardstock for the embossed panel and the sentiment.  I really like how it colors and how easy it is to remove color if you get it where you don’t want it!

My next card is the same 3D embossing folder but lighter colors and on cardstock.

This folder comes with dies!  I embossed another panel of cardstock and die cut and embossed them but didn’t get a card made with them yet.

I did the same coloring with watercolor crayons.  I bet watercolor pencils would work too!

For this one I die cut the Memory Box Thank You Posh Script die in vellum and TE Cupcake Pink cardstock.

Very simple but I’m happy with both of them!  whew!  I can’t believe it’s already Thursday.  I’ve worked on these since Monday.  I guess I played too much! haha
