Memory Box You Anchor Me Card…

It’s always fun to have a masculine card in the stash!  Today’s card is the new Memory Box You Anchor Me stamp set and coordinating dies!

I stamped the anchor in TE’s Blue Corn ink, it’s a dark blue….love it!  Not black. hehe  Die cut it with the coordinating die, popped it up on a Memory Box die cut Wrapped Circles die cut, then matted it with a Circle Basics die cut in dark brown.

I got out the Memory Box End of My Rope set… don’t you love that name?! lol  Decided I liked one, die cut it in white cardstock and inked with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

Some woodgrain pattern paper…two sentiments stamped in the MISTI in Ranger Coffee Archival Ink from the You Anchor Me set.

Then on the inside, a couple more sentiments.

I die cut the panel with the Memory Box Wrapped Stitch Rectangles die set. I should’ve stamped one of the little fish (in the set) inside with the words too!

I popped the anchor and rope up with a little 3M foam mounting tape, the 1/16th inch stuff so It’s still CAS and mailable!

Thank you for stopping by and come back!  Christmas is coming soon!  Can’t wait!

Pam

My Scrap Chick Beach Box Card…

Hi everyone! Another end of Summer interactive card to share!  I guess I’m loving these box cards.  This file came from My Scrap Chick. com.

I use a Scan and Cut so I have to change the SVG file to work on it.  I follow a video that’s really easy!  I have to watch it every time though because I don’t cut files very often.  Mostly I use it to cut out stamped images if I don’t have matching dies.  Comment or email me if you want a link to the video.

This turned out so cute!  The file is actually called Guy Bird Tubing but I needed it to be a girl!  Simple fix… I cut a narrow strip of cardstock and put it through the holes on the light pink piece and made straps for her bathing suit!

We’re still having some hot days here in Iowa so that lemonade looks so refreshing!

hahahaha  I added some white lines and dots with a white gel pen.

I used some old Bazzil cardstock and some Taylored Expressions cardstock.  Cookie Monster for the bird and Confetti Cake for the box.

It folds flat so easily and slips into an A2 envelope.  The file comes with an envelope you can cut but I resized it way too big!  I was glad to find out it fit in a regular size A2.

Totally charming! lol  This file comes with a short assembly video too… amazing how the gal designed it to fit together seamlessly!

On the back I wrote, “we think you’re beachy keen”! lol

Thank you for stopping by today!

Yesterday was stressful…I had to update the operating system on this computer.  Safari cut me off to where I couldn’t log in to my blog!  Fortunately everything is working ok… I almost panicked because it didn’t look like photoshop elements was going to open but it finally did. whew.  I lost all the mail I had saved in folders in my mail program though.  I guess I was tooooo far behind in updating and it acted like it was a new computer!  So I will just type my name here today because I don’t have the html code saved in an email anymore in my blog folder.  Five years of stuff, gone. boo. I am working on another system for saving stuff!!!

ttul!

Memory Box Eucalyptus Collage and Thanks Cursive Script Circle Cards…

Hi everyone!  I have two Clean and Simple (CAS) cards to share with you today!  When I saw this new MB Eucalyptus die I immediately thought it’d be good for sympathy/thinking of you cards, which I never have enough of.

I die cut Eucalyptus Collage in one of the greens from the MB Lush Green 6×6 Cardstock Collection pad. The background paper is from the MB Garden Folly 6×6 pattern paper pad.  I love the little flower with the pink centers behind the collage! The green panel is cut with one of the MB Rectangle Basics die set.

Now that I’m posting this, other ideas come to mind. lol Remember MB Dave’s napkin watercoloring technique and how you add gold to it?!  Yes!  I think touches of gold on simple watercoloring would be so pretty!

I used 3m foam mounting tape to lift the collage panel.  It’s the big roll and not very thick…

I heat embossed the sentiment in white powder with a sentiment from the poppystamps Diamond Sentiments stamp set. A ton of great sentiments in this set.

A2 size card…

My second card is a mini slim size… 3 ½ in. x 6 in.

I was struggling with what to do with this circle die… the first card I made was UGLY! lol  Now I wish I’d taken these pictures with a black background! ugh

Very simple composition.   I die cut MB Thanks Cursive Script Circle and Stained Glass Floral in white, then trimmed out the floral part from the square.

I’m giving the MB new Banner Sentiment Trio die set a work out this release!  I die cut the middle size, folded it in half and stapled it onto the circle.

Then I stapled on the floral die cut.  The Tim Holtz mini stapler at work again!

It’s a sweet, cute card IRL!  I suppose I should’ve tried a third time to get better pictures! ha.  It’s been one of those picture weeks… I can always tell when the season is changing!  I’ll quit whining and finish up! lol

Thank you for stopping by today!  ‘preciate it!

Simon Says Stamp Memory Box Exclusive Stamp and Die Set…

Hi everyone!  It’s a busy, busy time with tons of new stuff this month at Simon Says Stamp!  I have a card to share today I made with the new Memory Box Exclusive clear stamp set , True Friend.

I stamped the main floral image from the set with Distress Anitque Linen ink and no line colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  Y11, 13, 15, 18 and YG11, 13, 17.  If you haven’t tried no line coloring yet, this would be a great set to start out with!

Here’s a picture of it just colored and before I cut out the innards. lol

I die cut the brown card panel from the Memory Box Garland Stripes and Dots 6×6 paper pad with Memory Box Wrapped Stitch Rectangles.

I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Banner die with a yellow from the Memory Box Sunny Orange 6×6 cardstock pad.

I was surprised how easy it was to color!  It reminded me of coneflowers so that’s what I went with.

Here’s a picture of the set and the coordinating die…

I love it!  I’m going to have to order the die set! It looks like it cuts out the white between the flowers!  I love the sentiments too.

It’s Simon Says Stamp 12th Anniversary of STAMPtember!  There’s a big SSS release and collaborations with different companies all month!  So check in often and order quick because they do go fast!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I love hearing from you!

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Release Blog Party…Happy Poinsettia Card

Click the logo to see the release!

Welcome to my blog party!  It’s the Christmas Spirit! Let the cardmaking begin!  Simon Says Stamp sent me their NEW Happy Poinsettia stamp set to play with…and after a day of stamping around the Christmas desk, I had a card! lol

So here’s the deal for this blog party…use the code when you click from my logo when you order and get this exclusive Rainbow Ink cube set free with a purchase of $30 or more!  I love these colors!

There are so many wonderful new products!  Just WOW!  It’s going to be a super fun month!

I started this card by stamping on glossy white cardstock!  Remember glossy cardstock?  I know, blast from the past but it worked for me!

There are coordinating dies for this stamp set but I don’t have them so I made do with the Scan and Cut…I’d rather have the dies so into the cart they go!

I heat embossed SSS Outline Merry Christmas Background on Black cardstock with white embossing powder. Trimmed it to be a panel on an A2 size cardbase.

I love the touch of drama black brings to a card!

I trimmed a strip of white glossy cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Happy Poinsettia stamp on it with Ranger Black Archival Ink. I glued it down flat.

I arranged the floral pieces and some of the leaves have a little foam mounting tape under them. I shaped them a little with my fingers…similar to how you do curling ribbon with a scissors but no scissors!

This is one of those cards I wish you could see in person!  I hope it inspires you to get making some Christmas cards too!

Thank you for stopping by today…have fun shopping and thank you for your comments too!  I appreciate it!

Bye for now…
