poppystamps NEW Whittle Happy Unicorn (horse today) Barn Easel Card…

Hi everyone! It’s freezin season but the sun is shining and it’s warm enough for me in the house! haha

poppystamps came out with this NEW Whittle Happy Unicorn die and I wasn’t in a unicorn mood after I die cut in white I guess. I decided to try an inked Distress Ink unicorn that ended up a horse! lol

Then I remembered the poppystamps Country Barn Pop Up Easel die set and I was off after two other starts!

I had some fun with the Memory Box Heart Streamer Globe die.  It was one of my starts but I decided not to use it this time but then I decided to cut the streamers off and use them on the barn!  Barns always need embellished, right?!

I’m pretty tickled with how it turned out.  I took a bunch of pictures hoping they show what I did.

I made a little stand for the tufts of grass die cuts cut in TE Peapod cardstock and that whole piece with the horse lays down on the inside when you fold it up.

The horse is kinda like a second easel…

A strip of cardstock that I scored at ¼ in, glued the grass and then the horse to the ¼ inch part.

The sentiment, from the poppystamps Whittle Wild Animal Sentiments clear stamp set, is heat embossed on Taylored Expressions Cherry Pop cardstock with Lawn Fawn white embossing powder.

I put the easel together just like it shows on the back of the package.  I have to look every time! lol

It folds flat to fit in the envelope…

I’m not sure who I’ll send this too but hopefully someone that loves horses!

Holler if you have any questions!

Now back to the other two starts and see if they go anywhere!  There’s another new unicorn set with smaller unicorns and rainbows.  Cute!

Thank you for stopping by today! We’re headed toward Valentines Day at a gallop! haha

NEW Memory Box Gentle Blossom Watercolor Floral Card…

Hello Friend! How is your January going?  I woke up to HUGE snowflakes coming down…living in a snowglobe for a few hours!

I don’t have a snow card ready to post though! lol

This flower is a NEW die from Memory Box…isn’t it pretty?  I added three die cuts of the MB Gentle Pine Needle Sprig behind it.

I used MB 6×6 cardstock pads and the gingham is from the MB Christmas Plaid 6×6 pad. Links below. (I don’t see the pattern paper anymore so I linked to a poppystamps stamp that makes a similar pattern)

This card ended up 5 ½ inches square.

The sentiment is the NEW Memory Box Hello Friend Posh Script die.  I love it!  Love how it cuts out the inner pieces and looks so nice!

It feels like a little bit of Christmas coming into the new year here but I’m sure it could be a beautiful Spring floral card too, for any occasion!

I didn’t use a lot of foam mounting tape.  I glued the pine directly to the card panel, the floral has thin foam mounting tape under the center and the word die is on foam mounting tape.

Very easy dies to work with!  Could be quick and easy!  I had to walk away for a bit to decide how to bring in the pattern paper and then it hit me to add the pine! It just needed something…I’m thinking there are other dies in the MB collection that would be excellent additions to this flower.

That’s it for now.  I have to get in the groove.  A bunch of birthday cards need to be made before I’m late for all of them instead of just two! ha

Have a great weekend…it looks like someone here will be blowing and plowing and it’s not me! ha

Memory Box You Anchor Me Card…

It’s always fun to have a masculine card in the stash!  Today’s card is the new Memory Box You Anchor Me stamp set and coordinating dies!

I stamped the anchor in TE’s Blue Corn ink, it’s a dark blue….love it!  Not black. hehe  Die cut it with the coordinating die, popped it up on a Memory Box die cut Wrapped Circles die cut, then matted it with a Circle Basics die cut in dark brown.

I got out the Memory Box End of My Rope set… don’t you love that name?! lol  Decided I liked one, die cut it in white cardstock and inked with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

Some woodgrain pattern paper…two sentiments stamped in the MISTI in Ranger Coffee Archival Ink from the You Anchor Me set.

Then on the inside, a couple more sentiments.

I die cut the panel with the Memory Box Wrapped Stitch Rectangles die set. I should’ve stamped one of the little fish (in the set) inside with the words too!

I popped the anchor and rope up with a little 3M foam mounting tape, the 1/16th inch stuff so It’s still CAS and mailable!

Thank you for stopping by and come back!  Christmas is coming soon!  Can’t wait!

My Scrap Chick Beach Box Card…

Hi everyone! Another end of Summer interactive card to share!  I guess I’m loving these box cards.  This file came from My Scrap Chick. com.

I use a Scan and Cut so I have to change the SVG file to work on it.  I follow a video that’s really easy!  I have to watch it every time though because I don’t cut files very often.  Mostly I use it to cut out stamped images if I don’t have matching dies.  Comment or email me if you want a link to the video.

This turned out so cute!  The file is actually called Guy Bird Tubing but I needed it to be a girl!  Simple fix… I cut a narrow strip of cardstock and put it through the holes on the light pink piece and made straps for her bathing suit!

We’re still having some hot days here in Iowa so that lemonade looks so refreshing!

hahahaha  I added some white lines and dots with a white gel pen.

I used some old Bazzil cardstock and some Taylored Expressions cardstock.  Cookie Monster for the bird and Confetti Cake for the box.

It folds flat so easily and slips into an A2 envelope.  The file comes with an envelope you can cut but I resized it way too big!  I was glad to find out it fit in a regular size A2.

Totally charming! lol  This file comes with a short assembly video too… amazing how the gal designed it to fit together seamlessly!

On the back I wrote, “we think you’re beachy keen”! lol

Thank you for stopping by today!

Yesterday was stressful…I had to update the operating system on this computer.  Safari cut me off to where I couldn’t log in to my blog!  Fortunately everything is working ok… I almost panicked because it didn’t look like photoshop elements was going to open but it finally did. whew.  I lost all the mail I had saved in folders in my mail program though.  I guess I was tooooo far behind in updating and it acted like it was a new computer!  So I will just type my name here today because I don’t have the html code saved in an email anymore in my blog folder.  Five years of stuff, gone. boo. I am working on another system for saving stuff!!!

ttul!

Cutest Birthday Card of the Year….One of Them Anyway…hahaha

Hi everyone! This box card makes me so happy!  I love it so much!  So fun to color and put together!  Making a card like this is like starting out on a journey and you’re not quite sure where you’ll end up! lol ❤

This card was for one of our grandsons, Cedryk. Not curly blonde hair but just as cute! ❤

Our grandsons found the new show Adventure Agents a year or so ago and boy have they had fun!  When I asked Ced what he wanted for his birthday card this year he told me a boy cutting down trees!  I said, “ok”…told myself not to panic yet… lol  Came home and started looking through the stash and thinking! This is where I ended up and I was thrilled! YAY!  So thankful to have this cardmaking challenge to keep me smiling!

So here’s some more pictures!

I stamped, cut him out by hand and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.

Timber!!!!

from the side… I had to trim down the MFT grass dies to fit.

a little bit more of the perspective/depth…

It folds flat to fit in an envelope!  YAY!

I hope he made you smile… thank you for stopping by my blog!  I love sharing my cards with you!

P.S.  be watching…tonight central time… 11 p.m. (12 a.m. Eastern) is the NEW Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Release!  I have a card to share on Thursday for the StAMPtember Blog Party… it’s a Christmas card!  So come back and I appreciate it so much when you shop through my links!  THANK YOU!
