Merry Monday, Memory Box, Make It Monday – Motif, Papertrey Ink…

Pam Sparks Deer Snowglobe 1

Almost a last minute loo-loo here…. whew! I couldn’t just not play in the Merry Monday Challenge – use a reindeer!

So here’s my cutie little Memory Box ‘reindeer’ called Happy FawnI colored him with Copics and then built a scene for him to live in.

I die cut the Circle Forest die in white cardstock, recut it with a pinpoint circle layer die to make it the right size,  mounted a couple extra trees in the snow… die cut the frame first with the Pinpoint Circle Layers die, then recut it with the Shaker Circle Frames die That way I still had the little dots, although I think I would’ve liked it just as well with just the frame cut! : )

I used one of the Snowglobe Bases  dies, cut in woodgrain cardstock.  Adhered everything to a top folded A2 card base and stamped the sentiment from Into The Words clear stamp set. The holly leaves and berries are from the Mini Holly Leaves die set.

I’ll tell you how I made the sky sometime this week in another post.

Then I watched the Papertrey Ink Video Monday on motif building…well…I’ve been thinking about it most of the week! ugh!  I just don’t have enough of their stamps for the center motif, so being me, I used dies so I’m linking up!  I hope it counts! lol  CAS!

Yes, we’ve got snow!  All of the dies I used are from Papertrey Ink.  I cut the word snow away from one of the dies that says Let It Snow.

In the Meadow
I think the snowflake center and flakes are from the Tinsel and Tags set, can’t remember for sure.

Thanks for stopping by!  Here’s some snow from Iowa for all my friends that went south or live in warm states! : ) I took this when I got up yesterday a.m. The city had already been out making all kinds of racket. grrr  They can’t just leave it pretty, they have to plow it a million times and make it look dirty.  boo.   This is one of the churches across from us…we live on a corner.  Sympathy for ppl that live on the corner please?! lol

  1. Cute little Happy Fawn! He’s adorable in his own little scene.
LOVE your Motif card. You captured it nicely!

P.S. We got the snow too!

  2. Oh goodness! So much here, I don’t know what to talk about first! haha! The snow!! Oh look at the lovely snow! You guys got a lot!! That’s so fun! It’s beautiful! The first card, oh that is so sweet! I love the little reindeer and that woodgrain on the base is super! And you did the MIM technique!! I have been thinking about doing it with dies too! You read my mind! But I love what you did! They look wonderful in black for a silhouette effect! I love everything in this post! 🙂

  3. Oh My Gosh you have snow!! So beautiful and so serene!! Love your cards as always Pam – that child on the sled is one of my all-time favorites of PTI, and the deer is so sweet!!

  4. Oh Pam, you did it again, amazing cards! So LOVE your first card, that would be my fav–your adorable dear, your snowy perfect blue-color background–beautiful snow globe Pam!!! And your picture, wow you got a lot of snow already! Kept looking at the branches in the front–almost looks like you put a memory box die cut there, lol. Beautiful picture. Keep warm! Hugs

  5. Oh love the little snow globe card with the sweet deer – what a great job of creating a place for this little sweetie to live I am anxious to see how you did the sky. The black/white card is amazing – can’t figure out how you did it “yet”. What a beautiful snow fall you had – my dear daughter lives in South Bend IN. and I have not talked to her yet this week so I am anxious to see if they got snow. Stay warm and safe.

  6. What a darling deer! And I love the “deer friend” words too! And your stunning snow pic is amazing! Publish that one!

  7. Oh Pam these are beautiful! I don’t know which I like best! We also woke up to snow! I would rather see Sandy beaches! Luckily, or maybe not, we live outside the city limits so we usually only get a snow plow once. We also have woods behind and to the left so we do get to enjoy the beautiful scenery with fresh fallen snow. Pretty to look at but no fun to drive in! 🙂 Nancee

  8. Love the snow globe you made with the adorable deer. The background in the globe is amazing and the sentiment is perfect! I too have the Papertrey Ink dies as well. I ordered the dies after being inspired from an adorable Chrismas card you made a couple of years ago using the sleigh boy die. Also love the beautiful snow photo of the church…could be a Currier Ives card! Thank you Pam, for sharing your great ideas with us.

  9. The deer card is soooooooo cute !!! You made a beautiful scene for him to romp in !!! The black and white card is stunning. And THANKS for the snow picture. I am glad I can appreciate the beauty in a picture and NOT have to deal with it.

  10. These are just too cute, I especially love the deer card, just precious. That snow is Beautiful but i am happy to be down here in Southern IL where we just got rain, I am not ready for snow.

  11. Both cards are really nice, but I think that little fawn stole my heart….adorable. Very clever creations. The church pic made me shiver…it’s actually pretty cool here in FL this morning….thank goodness the sun came out…it has been rather dreary the past several days. As much as I’m NOT a cold weather person, it seems appropriate for it to be cool around the holidays. Brrrrr

  12. Two beautifully made cards! So clean and simple but so striking! And good for you guys for getting some snow. It was supposed to hit us here in the eastern side of Missouri but never made it far enough east. Next time perhaps!

  13. Both of these cards are amazing! And I can’t believe how you took that sled die & made it into a frame! Brilliant idea!! You always amaze me!

  14. Wow, amazing CAS cards! The little snow globe with the deer is so cute! The snowy photo is beautiful. It makes Christmas feeling for me. 🙂

  15. Gorgeous creations! Love your design and craftsmanship! Well done, Pam! (my outside view is much like yours. Yup, winter is here..). Thank you for stopping by my blog, Pam! Wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!

  16. I bought the snow glove and haven’t used it yet. You inspired me with another of your cards earlier. However, this one is adorable. Lots of snow means it’s holiday time. Wish we would get snow in northern California. I will be satisfied with rain, though. Interesting card with all the black images. Just talked to my Illinois cousin, and they have a ton of new snow and are busy shoveling. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I love hearing from you! Thank YOU!
