Blanket Stitch again… with Carribean twine from the Twinery and the white on Sheldon is from Doodlebug, the holiday Twine set that I linked to in my last post… links at the bottom.  oh man!  Just linking him up to SLS and I see I did him upside down to the picture on the package!!! ugh.  His head is supposed to be bigger than his body!  Figures. *sigh*  Oh well, I still LOVE this!!!  I will have to make another with a BIG head! lol

The felt I used is from Taylored Expressions… Tiffany, Avocado, Marshmallow, Charcoal and Black.  I colored a scrap of Marshmallow with an orange copic sketch marker and then trimmed out a teeny carrot nose and glued the eyes, nose, scarf and buttons on with Tombow Mono Multi glue.  (green lids)

The candy cane is an organic, no artificial food dye, candy cane that I get at Christmas time at Whole Foods or through one of the online stores.  : )

One more look and holler if you have any questions…

  1. Awwww that is the cutest!! I love the colors and that twine looks so cute for the stitching! Love Sheldon upside down! I think I would have done the same! hehe!

  2. Okay first I love love love the mitten OPEN!! This is sheer genius Pam – and with Sheldon on it – and the color blue – oh I love everything, absolutely everything about this!!!

  3. There you go again, making my wish list longer and longer! Pam, this is so sweet! Your grands are going to love them! As always, you’re thinking outside the box, and creating magic! Hugs…

  4. This is just adorable. Every snowman I ever made from snow or paper or fabric had a larger bottom than head. So I don’t even want to see one with a head bigger than his bottom. LOL Too cute1 Love the colors!

  5. I just remembered what the mitten reminded me of… When we were kids we made a pair of mittens similar to these and put a hair clip the old kind 😉 to make bookmarks .
    Love it!

  6. Love the felt. Gives it such a fuzzy look. Now I know what you were talking about when you mentioned felt dies. So cute. Thanks Pam

  7. What a lovely mitten Pam. The stitching against the beautiful carribean color is very impressive and gives a wintery wonderland feel to any Christmas Tree! Now, if only I had a cute mini mitten pin like this to wear and show off Sheldon, on this sweet mitten. LOL! So cute Pam, thank you for sharing your beautiful creation. Oh yes, I’ll have to buy some of those organic candy canes. Awesome!

  8. LOL…you are too funny. I would have never noticed the upside down Sheldon. I think he looks perfect. Great job!!!

  9. Such a gorgeous shade of blue for your stocking and that tiny snowman is adorable, Pam! I’d love to have this hanging on my tree! Thanks for sharing it with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
