I’ll be back…I have a warm wishes card almost ready to post!

Hello! I’m still working away here! Maybe if I had an elf suit I’d be faster! hoho I decided to bring out Dave’s napkin watercolor technique again and try out the new Distress Ink color. I used the regular ink refill for painting this one. I spritzed the napkin die cut first, then brushed in some color with a wet brush. It was pretty strong full strength so I put a Brawny paper towel over the top to soak up some of the ink. I wished I’d used a piece of watercolor paper because I loved the print I got! So another way to use a die cut for a stamp! 😀 Who knew?!
What a gorgeous green! This new color is Rustic Wilderness.
The ribbon is from my stash…the plaid is Memory Box Christmas Plaid 6×6 paper pad… beautiful patterns!
The new Knotted Diamond Background die is cut in gold metallic cardstock.
The sentiment is from the Memory Box Spirit of Christmas stamp set… love this one…fabulous sentiments and beautiful images to color!
I’m not going to panic…my cards are going to be late this year. I ordered postage stamps online Nov. 30. They finally shipped Dec. 9 from Kansas City, four hours from here. They made it to Des Moines but they sent them to another town an hour away from me! :O They sat there a couple days, then were sent back to Des Moines where they’ve sat for who knows how many days it will be. Des Moines is an hour away. Lesson learned. Just go to the PO and buy whatever they have in JULY!!! I’m annoyed.. I have another USPS story too. I bet we all have one or two! ugh
Thank you for stopping by!

I have two cards to share with you after playing around with this folder a couple days. It’s very pretty! I will show you the sparkly pics I took with my phone first! 😀
I inked the raised sky side with teal ink on this first one…after embossing I sprayed both cards with Sparkle spray. Can you say shimmery?!
This one I inked with brown first, then green on the side where the trees are raised. Pretty cool… it’s tricky keeping the ink off where you don’t want it but what I finally ended up doing was using a white Posca pen over the ink marks, letting it dry before I sprayed it with Sparkle spray and then the vellum heat embossed gold sentiment over the top… disguised and pretty!
Here’s some more pictures…I took too many…lol
Weird how the color changes laying down… same exact location as the standing up pictures!
Truly CAS cards after getting the hang of what you want the result to be. It just dawned on me that I didn’t make a plain ole white one! Oh… I will have to do that! Sprayed with Sparkle or Frost spray, it’ll be gorgeous! YAY! Easier yet! haha
Thanks so much for stopping by. I feel like a fish out of water here. Not keeping up with anything. My heart is with all my friends out there and know I think about you and I am emailing you in my head and so thankful for you all! Back to shopping… it’s fun this year…our older grands have ideas so it’s serious shopping and challenging! More education for grandma and grandpa! lol
Here’s some links to what I used to make these two Winter wonderland cards!

Sleds always take me back to my youth and so many nights of going to Fairmont Park for sledding and ice skating. The city closed off the perfect street for sledding. So much fun!
This new die is perfect for cards and tags a like. I used the Christmas Plaid paper pad paper and Christmas Quotes stamps and coordinating dies.
The mistletoe sprigs are from the new Mistletoe Wreath die set. I cut two, added baby pearls and twine.
I posted a snowflake ornament on Instagram not realizing the die was discontinued. So I decided to use this new die from Birch Press Design to make the same type… the pinpoint design of this Pinpoint Snowflake die makes it really easy to do… you don’t even have to score the center lines, you just fold right on the dots! I used six die cuts in white cardstock and ink blended on the edges after it was glued together.
So pretty… I need to get it hung on the tree and see if the light shines through the dots!
Not the best pictures… my camera settings got off and I didn’t realize it. ugh.
and little video…
I think I’m done getting the Christmas tree up…I want to get the garland on the stairway still…eek! How are you doing?
Thanks for stopping by!
