Scroll down for my Perfect Paper Crafting and MarkerPop! Blog Hop post!
Thank you!

PamSparkscircleburst700

It’s that time of year…happy graduation to students everywhere!  You’re a Star!

My card today is built on a Memory Box Licorice notecard.

The Small Circle Burst is die cut out of Memory Box Sunflower card-stock and mounted with foam squares to the card.

Precious Star and Classic Numbers are die cut out of Memory Box Lagoon Card-stock, stars out of white and Sunflower.

I die cut congrats with the Classic lower case alphabet and Memory Box Licorice Card-stock.

This card would be fun in lots of colors and for a birthday too… just change out the year with the person’s age or a birthday candle!

I  used an image from MarkerPOP! by Sylvia Zet called Peggy and I watercolored her with Distress Ink Markers.

I used the Perfect Layers Tools to mat Peggy, the fishtail banners and around the perimeter of the card.  For the fishtail banners, I cut both sides with the 1/16th in. ruler then cut up the center of the tail area with a scissors, then I was able to use the 1/16th ruler on each side of the tail.

The pattern paper is from Simple Stories. Flower and alphabet dies are from Quickutz.

Magnolia, Tilda’s Town Challenge…

PamSparksCoolEdwin700

Time for Tilda’s Town’s weekly challenge…this week…’use a Magnolia background stamp’.   I used Tilda’s Summer Car with Cool Edwin from the Sweet Rainbow Collection and colored with Distress Ink Marker watercoloring. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the You Are Special collection.

PamSparksCoolEdwin2_700

I used the Deconstructed Sketch #101 and will link to it, but my image was too big to cut into a circle.  I love fishtails but I didn’t have enough room, so I used an old Quickutz arrow die to mimic them and thought that went with the car.  It was definitely my inspiration but I did have to change it up to work for my image!

I’m linking to Midweek Magnolias Challenge … Birthday is the theme.

and Dutch Magnolia Lovers …Make a card inspired by a song… “let’s go fly a kite”

The cloud background is inked with Rosies Roadshow cloud stencil and Ranger Adirondack light blue ink.

The main image is matted using the Perfect Layers Tools… link on the right…

Memory Box…Mannequin in the rain?

_MG_7695-001

Is this too silly to post? ok, Don’t answer that! lol  I got this mannequin die without the dresses that go with it…so I’ve been puzzling over it. A couple days ago I got this idea to put it with the umbrella in the rain!  So it just grew from there! lol  (I know, the buttons are big but it just adds to the whimsy of it? a raincoat!)

_MG_7701

I had fun making it into a front panel step card and bringing in the tree too!  It screams Spring!  I forgot to add dandelions though! hahaha

_MG_7702-001

The rain die was really fun and easy to run through several times to make the raindrop background.  Lots of Memory Box dies, stamp and card-stocks…Water, Key Lime Gingham, Licorice Gingham, Licorice Distressed Dots,  Sage, Vanilla Bean and Cherry Blossom.

Hope this finds you laughing in the rain! (it’s raining here)  Thanks for stopping by!

Oh Happy Day!  Susie listed my card in the SCS Favorites thread this week!  Thanks Susie!
