PTI Christmas Card for stamp club

pam-sparks-stamp-club-c-mas-2016

Hi everyone! Here’s the card I made for our area stamp club gals!  PTI (Papertrey Ink) had a challenge going on for assembly line card making so I had to enter. hehe

Dorothy had my name in the gift exchange and she gave me this old Santa Memory Box stamp that I wanted.  She got it last year in the club gift exchange!  It was so fun to open it and see she’d given him up for me!  One of the other things in the package was this Sizzix tree die that I used on a thanks card that I mailed to her.  Hopefully she’ll get it before she sees this! hehe  A fun time was had by all!  We missed the gals that couldn’t be there though!

Ombre Hero Arts Scene for Addicted to CAS challenge…

pam-sparks-hero-arts-village-scene-ombre-greetings-close

Hi everyone!  When I saw the challenge at Addicted to CAS…I just knew I needed to use some of my Hero Arts stamps with the Hero Arts Ombre stamp pad!  I had to hurry though cuz we’re down to the last few hours!  eek!  Life on the edge when you have too many things going! lol

I tried a few different backgrounds but ended up just going around the perimeter of the image with a gold paint pen after I inked and put 4 inch wide double stick tape over the top and covered it with Judikins Micro Clear Beads… I have to use them at least once a year!  hehe

I die cut a Memory Box Postage square die, Holly die and the sentiment from Cottage Cutz in white glitter card-stock, holly in green. So festive but with a vintage appeal too.

I’m happy so it’s back to work on the house. The living/dining room is painted and we’re working on moving things back in.  Tim washed some windows and I’ve been cleaning blinds!  oh yuk is right! Double yuk!  That’s why I had to stop and make something! haha

ok – ttul!

3 Memory Box and poppystamps Christmas cards…

pam-sparks-arpeggio-in-gold-and-black

Hi everyone!  Starting out the week thankful I woke up early to get a post written!  I was inspired to make this card using these colors and design by a little Christmas card catalog that came in the mail, a business would order personalized cards from.  I don’t normally think to mix white with gold!

I embedded the Memory Box Arpeggio Snowflake die like my video HERE…such an easy way to adhere this detail image and love how it looks on the back side, even though I trimmed the panel down and glued it to a card base. hehe

Merry is die cut in gold and glued on…Christmas is white heat embossed and from the poppystamps Christmas Greetings stamp set. I’m getting a lot of mileage out of that stamp set!

The black card-stock background panel is cut with the Memory Box Speckled Background die. An A2 size, top folding card.

oh, I had fun playing with the new Memory Box Circle Bump Borders die set!  Here I die cut one of the sizes twice at an angle in a 4.25 x 5.5 panel of white card-stock. I scotch taped the straight lines on the back side and glued the panel to an A2 size card-base.  Then you can just slip a gift card right under the bumps and it holds it perfectly and stays! So happy when done! hehe

This was a surprise drawing/gift at our stamp club party Friday. Jan won!  Thank you Carolyn for the HyVee gift card!

I’m loving this new poppystamps Pine Twig die.  Die cut it twice and glued on. But of course it needed holly!  I die cut poppystamps Holly Leaves and Berries die twice and glued them on.  Fast and flat if you want to mail it! oh, a little glittery snow would’ve been fun…ok, on the next one! lol

pam-sparks-circle-bump-poinsettia-flatHere’s the Memory Box Circle Bump Borders die again! I used a bigger one this time.  That poppystamps Christmas Greetings stamp set again, some little strips of gold metallic card-stock that I did run through the big shot with the bump die so the ends would be curved, the pretty little poinsettia from the Memory Box Fanciful Poinsettia Ornament die and the pine branches from the Memory Box Blissful Bundle die.

You’ll notice the front panel has a little border…I like to use the A2 size rectangle die from the Avery Elle Custom Panel set, when I need the front panel back side to be covered. Then I just glue it to an A2 card-base.

I was happy with this sweet A2 size CAS Christmas card.  Should be easy to mail even with that small gold pearl.

Well, yesterday we went to Costco and bought an artificial Christmas tree. We’ve had real Christmas trees for over 30 years.  I’m not sure I’m gonna be alright with it. sigh. Sounds so silly typing it. I won’t have a tree to water every morning! One daughter told me, I can always buy a real tree too! hohoho  She’s right but one of them would never get decorated cuz I gotta make cards you know! lol I do love real trees.

Happy Thanksgiving week to you wonderful blog friends.  You’re the best!  I’m thankful!

Printworks Collection Fall Cards…

pam-sparks-lives-full-of-t-giving

I’m back with two more cards using pieces from that full sheet of leaf watercoloring that I did a couple weeks ago. THIS post tells what I did.

Here I die cut a piece of card-stock with the Memory Box Pinpoint Circle Layers dies, stamped and embossed the new Printworks sentiment, ‘Let our Lives‘ in gold embossing powder and embellished with a poppystamps  Oak Leaf Swirl die cut.

Inside I stamped and heat embossed in gold…the new ‘with warmest thoughts and Best Wishes stamp.

For this next card, I cut the piece of leaf background down to fit behind this Avery Elle Pierced Rectangle dies frame that I was able to die cut easily because I haven’t clipped the dies apart yet.

Don’t shoot me. ugh. This poppystamps Maple Leaf isn’t showing up in the stores I usually link to!  So sorry about that. I didn’t realize it was a bit older and didn’t check first. Bummer cuz the little leaf border really worked up fun like this I thought. Hopefully you already own it! hehe (or google it)

On the inside I stamped another new sentiment from Printworks ‘Thankful‘.  I love it, there are places to add a little coloring!

The little 3mm gold pearls I used are HERE.

Both of these cards are A2 size.
