SSS STAMPtember Christmas Block Art Tags and Cards…

Hello everyone!  A bit of a blizzard happening here, hoho! Sharing a few things from this NEW STAMPtember release stamp set illustrated by Miriam Prantner called Christmas Block Art.

My projects are pretty straight forward.  The snowflake tags and tree cards are stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then ink blended with Distress Inks.  I linked the ones I used below.

For the trees I used an old primitive star Marvy  paper punch and glitter cardstock.

I love this primitive looking tree… so cute!  I added some Memory Box Fairy Gems from the Christmas pack.  Mini slimline card size.

So fun….this last photo is the first things I made with the set. I stamped all three on one piece of 4.25 x 5.5 cardstock panel but ended up cutting them apart and making tags instead of a card.

I used Distress Oxide inks to ink up the stamps in the MISTI but I didn’t write down what colors I used. ugh.  I stamped some snowflakes on the tree but they didn’t show up well enough after they dried so I added some using an old EK Success paper punch.

The sentiment over the star is from a SSS set that’s not available anymore.  Sorry about that!  It’s Holiday Greetings Mix 1.

Oh Christmas Tree is included in the stamp set with the block art images.

Walking is from a new set from Memory Box, Holiday Wishes.

Linking to some challenges…

Merry Little Christmas #58 – anything Christmas goes

NBUS #66 – never before used stuff!

Peace On Earth #71– anything Christmas goes

And my set of three tags to this challenge…

Word Power #9  – words/sentiment is the focus

Memory Box Pinecone and Berries 3D Embossing Folder Merry Christmas Wave Card…

Hi everyone! Time to get really serious about getting Christmas cards made and ready to mail!  Preaching to myself for sure! lol

I was excited to use one of the NEW Memory Box 3D Embossing Folders for my card today.

I started out by inking the side,  flat area up, with Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide ink and then running it through the die cutting machine.

I used Canson Montval cold press watercolor paper.  I buy the BIG sheet from Hobby Lobby and then just cut a piece off of it when I need it.  I leave it out, in the way, so I remember to use it.  It’s my favorite watercolor paper.  The price is right too!  $3.29 for the piece… if I cut it up into 9×12, if I’m remembering right, you get 8 pieces!

I spritz one side of the paper very lightly before I put it in the inked up folder.

Then using regular distress ink and the mini ink blending tool, I went over the raised areas with Pine Needles on the pine, Peeled Paint on the leafy branches and Gathered Twigs on the pinecones.

I really like the look of this but it’s so much better in real life than a photo!

I die cut the NEW Drifting Snowflakes die and just used the flakes on my card.  I used the 3 sizes of dots it cuts out too.  I spattered with white ink but it didn’t show up very well.

I die cut the NEW Merry Christmas Wave in kraft and red cardstocks.  Another easy one to put together! I used scor-tape on the back so I could just lay the letters back in and they fit perfectly…EASY!  Love it!

A little bit of twine wrapped around the panel.  This ended up A6 size….a little extra! lol

I layered on red cardstock and then to a white cardbase.

For the inside I used a sentiment from the NEW Holiday Wishes stamp set.  If you only wanted one set with sentiments for the outside and the inside… here it is!

Linking to some challenges…

Can You Handle the Pressure? – anything goes with an embossing folder

Peace On Earth Christmas – anything goes Christmas

Word Power #9 – Sentiment/words as the focus

Spellbinders Dancin’ Christmas Cards…

Here to make you smile!  Dancin’ Douglas is the tree card…I love the name!  Dancin’ Moose Klondike…sooooo CUTE!

Very basic, die cut, glue and take pictures! lol  An A-6 size card but I’ll use an A-7 size envelope because his antlers are a bit taller than the card.

Pine branch is from the Delivering Joy Sleigh die set, Santa hat from the Dancin’ Snowman die set and the sentiment is from the Clear Stamp and die set from October of 2023.

Here’s a short video showing how his legs ‘dance’!

There are several die sets in this collection… I’ll link to everything at the end of my post.

There’s No One Elf Like You!  That’s the truth! lol Sentiment from Santa’s Sippin’ Sayings clear stamp set.

Snowflake die cut in the background is from the St. Nick die set.

I used Navy Blue cardstock but I know, it looks black but it’s not! ugh.  Sometimes picture taking is so hard! You can see it’s navy in the video below!

The present is from the Dancin’ Snowman set.

Such happy cards!  A-6 size again…

Here’s a video of Dancin’ Douglas swinging his legs.

I wish I’d thought to take a picture of how I do the swing.  I’ll try to explain.

I use three washers and red tape them together and red tape them to the back of the tree. (I need to try just using two washers so it’s a little thinner.)

I put mounting tape on the back of the tree, making sure I don’t block the swing with it.

I add more red tape to the washers, remove all the protective paper from the mounting tape and red tape and adhere to the card panel.

It’s very simple.  I don’t know what everyone else does but that’s what I do.

I used the smallest rectangle die from the Mini Slimline A set to die cut the sentiment.

The green cardstocks are from the Memory Box Greenery 6×6 cardstock pad.

Browns are old Bazzill cardstock and the Moose background cardstock is Cookie Monster from Taylored Expressions.

Thank you so much for stopping by and making it clear to the end of this post! whew! lol!

Memory Box Watchful Bird and More Card….

Hi everyone!  Another joy topped Christmas card to share today!  I LOVE this NEW Watchful Bird!  He fit right down in with some NEW Pine Branches and New Festive Holly dies!

Layered on top of the NEW Pinecone and Berries 3D Embossing Folder with natural linen cardstock, then the NEW Wavy Sheet Music die cut in black glossy cardstock.

Bello Joy is a NEW die also….die cut in two colors and with scor-tape on the back, layer in the letters…so much easier than gluing!  For the color here, I inked a piece of natural linen the same way I colored the bird’s back and die cut it.

A little bit of Gathered Twigs Distress Ink blended on with the mini blending tool.  It’s always out on my desk! hehe

I die cut the bird all in natural linen cardstock, then ink blended on color using my brushes that already had ink in them.  My regular distress red brush, then my oxide distress red brush, then a light brushing with my brown oxide brush.  No rhyme nor reason except for not wanting dark.  The head is solid Gathered Twigs regular distress with the mini ink blending tool.  The body lightly inked with the same.

Greenery die cut with the back two greens in the Memory Box Greenery Cardstock 6×6 pack and Earth Neutral 6×6 pack.  I inked the edges with Rustic Wilderness distress and a mini ink blending tool. Red for berries was a scrap.

I enjoyed creating this card!  Music is such a big part of the Christmas season for me.  I always love greenery!

This is an A2 size card.  I didn’t trim off the holly this time.  I normally mail in an A6 size envelope so it will fit ok like this.  You could easy trim it off though!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!  Links below if I’ve inspired you to get busy on Christmas cards. hoho   I’m trying to keep mine pretty flat-ish.  Sad the PO isn’t as card friendly as it used to be.

ok – ttul!
