Hi everyone! Here to share this sweet little scene using the NEW Dashing With Reindeer stamp and die set from Memory Box. Snow always looks so beautiful…too bad it’s usually cold too! hoho
I had fun inking a Distress Oxide Salty Ocean sky with the ink blending tool and then spattering with water and soaking it up with a paper towel.
TIP: I like to spray water in the palm of my hand, rub my hands together and then clap over where I want it, to get the small size dots. I do that a few times.
I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the MISTI, then die cut the images with the Big Shot, then colored with Copic Sketch Markers. I don’t like to color first…cuz of the chance of messing up the die cutting.
TIP: If you don’t like handling that small of a piece…tack it with repositionable tape to a larger piece of card-stock so it doesn’t seem so fiddly while you’re coloring! 😀
I die cut the longest NEW Straight Slider Grooves die in the bottom snow bank that was cut with the NEW Stitched Curves die. I used a one of the other Stitched Curves dies for the snow bank behind.
Then the Quiet Cabin Landscape die in the background and the Fresh Pine Trio dies at the ends of the slider.
For Santa’s beard I drew squiggly lines with the white gel pen. The white parts of his hat are white dots with the white gel pen. I do a layer of dots, let them dry, then do another layer of dots.
Rudolph’s nose is a tiny white pearl that I colored with a Copic Sketch Marker R89.
I stuck Santa and his reindeer on a piece of acetate so they’d slide together in the groove… yes, they are wireless reindeer! Remote Controlled today! hohoho
