Hi everyone! I was inspired to join in the fun at CAS(e) This Sketch card challenge. I loved the sketch and the inspiration from the team.

So I headed from my computer/library room, down to the other end of the hall to my stamp room and got to work… somewhere between the rooms, I guess my brain didn’t quite remember the sketch exactly. Glad this isn’t a test! lol

I had fun using this die again and this fun 6×6 paper pad that is new to me this Spring.

I copic colored the flowers, leaves and stems, added a little bit of white gel pen and yellow dots in the flower centers.

I used mounting tape to layer up the top panel that I die cut a circle out of with the Memory Box Circle Basics die set.

Then I thought, add a border and this new poppystamps Pierced Borders die was delighted to be used again! The paper and border remind me of the old Susan Branch stamp and paper lines from years ago.

Just enough dimension to add interest but still be A2 size and mailable. I had to tie on some kraft twine…sometimes it just calls to me. lol

The longest part of making the card was deciding what sheets of paper to use from the pad! lol I changed my mind a few times. 😀

Hi friends and cardmakers! It’s a big day… it’s Friday and I’m celebrating that I get to write a blog post, finish a couple birthday cards and go to stamp club this afternoon! I can’t believe another month has rolled around though!

I had fun making this card a few weeks ago and almost forgot to post it! Crazy me!

So when you have little die cut dots all over your work surface what do you do? Paper crafters make a background of course! haha

I love these colors together but I need to tell you, that is dark brown as in chocolate! lol Not black. Dark brown always looks black in photos to me. Naughty child! haha I used Memory Box Pool, Meadow, Vanilla Bean, white and kraft notecards for this card.

I love working with dies and these layering ones are so fun…kinda like people! No two alike! Just keep cutting and playing with layering them together.

This Viva Layer Die set is three large intricate dies! I think this one will be gorgeous made up as ornaments for Christmas!

Guest Designing at Foiled Fox with Lawn Fawn’s NEW Reveal Wheel Die and More…

Hi everyone! I’m delighted to be guesting for the Foiled Fox online store blog today! This NEW Lawn Fawn Reveal die set makes up the cutest, cleverest cards that everyone no matter their age would enjoy receiving! Spin the dial and see…well…whatever you want to stamp! There are multiple designs you can change out…the skies the limit! YAY!

It’s so cool how Lawn Fawn thought of everything needed for this type of card! Kelly Marie made a video explaining every detail so you can’t mess it up!

I used the Reveal Wheel Sentiments stamp set for the words, You Are Sublime stamp set, You Are Sublime Lawn cuts, and Porthole Frames Lawn cuts for the images.

Some ⅛ inch brads fit the perimeter of the porthole perfectly!

I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Copic Coloring Card in the MISTI stamping tool and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.

Stampendous Hydrangea Garden Tri-fold Card…

Hi cardmakers and friends! How about some paper hydrangeas to hold me over until we have some real life ones! I have to tell you, it’s looking good for some flowers from our 3 new bushes we planted last year though. whew.

So a simple thinking of you card using Stampendous Hydrangea Garden stamp and die sets.

I used a piece of Smooth Bristol card from a 9 x 12 pad, cut to 4 ⅝ inches x 12 inches.

Stamp and heat emboss the Hydrangea, in white, at one end, then die cut stopping at the wide part of the flower stamp. The leaves are separate from the flower head, so I did have to glue them on underneath.

I stamped and die cut 2 extra of the single flower in the set and popped up one on the front and used the other inside… I love it there! Looks like it just landed there! hehe

I colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and a little water.

The sentiment is gold embossed and from the Stampendous Fresh Peony Cling Stamp set. Sorry the sentiment is blurry…It was hard to get a picture because the flower end kinda sticks up a bit. It’s so pretty IRL!

Simon Says Stamp Leafy Circle Cards…

Hi everyone! WOWzer it’s a hot day in May for IA! 93˚! eek! So I’m inside writing a blog post. I wanted to go on a walk but not if it means melting!

My cards today feature Simon Says Stamp’s new Leafy Circle die. It’s from the latest fabulous release called ‘Sending Sunshine’.

What I did…I die cut a piece of 110# Neenah Solar White cardstock with SSS Stitch Frame die. Then instead of cutting the die in the panel, I embossed it using the tan mat, shims and the multi purpose platform in my Big Shot like you would do an embossing folder.

Using the ink blending tools and 3 Distress ink colors, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint, I added color. I thought it was so cool, I did the same technique (embossing/inking) for my next card but added a kraft color panel with the Leafy Circle cut in it over the top of the ink blended piece. whew… run on sentence.

I stamped the sentiment on vellum with Ranger Archival ink, trimmed it and used the Glue Dots Vellum adhesive on the back, just gotta tell you, that worked slick. Then I stamped explore nature on the white panel with the same ink. Stamping for both using the MISTI.

I matted the white panel with a green rectangle die cut from the Memory Box Rectangle Basics set. I love that teeny border. Mounting tape on the back of that and placed on a top folded kraft color cardbase that I edged with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and a mini ink blending tool.

Next card…same wreath but I CASEd myself…brought back that Meadow Flower… can’t get enough of it I guess!

This time I ink blended with Peeled Paint and Forest Moss Distress Inks. Colored the flower head with Copics and added three Nuvo White drops. I used mounting tape behind the flower, the flower stem leaves and the sending die cut.

Both of these cards are A2 size and good for snail mail!
