Altenew Poinsettia and Pine…Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Friends and Cardmakers!  All the Best to you!

Here’s a big picture of the tags I made for the gift bags we used for stockings for the grandkids this year.  I’m going to keep the bags and reuse them every year!  Now you know what I’ve been up to!  We have a wonderful family celebration here yesterday…today I’m taking it easy!  😀

Take care!  Be back soon!

Memory Box Poinsettia Circle Frame and Nativity Circle…

It was a Holy Night…this card…was a challenge but nothing compared to what Mary and Joseph faced! A beautiful reminder of what Christmas is all about!

I painted the die cuts with Gansai Tambi watercolors and metallics. Layered them together and placed them on a red glitter die cut circle.  A little gold stickles for the centers.

The sentiment is from the Bold Holiday Greetings stamp set, stamped in Ranger Archival Black ink with the MISTI.

I hope you’ve had a beautiful season of creating Christmas cards…hard to believe we’re closing in on the month of December already!  I could make Christmas cards all year!

Thank you for supporting me and my blog and God bless you all!  P.S.  Shopping links in my right sidebar…

Hello Bluebird Moose and Friends Birthday Card…

Hi everyone! December birthdays must go on! We have three this month…our oldest daughter was born Christmas Day, then two grandsons, one the 3rd and one the 16th.  So fun and this card just makes me HAPPY!  So cute!  I used some Hello Bluebird stamps and dies.

I stamped on Copic X-press it card and colored with Copic Sketch Markers. A little white gel pen when I was finished coloring.

Oh, it’s a happy celebration here!  My granddaughter Lizzie asked me which critter the party was for?  Then she decided it was the beaver! hehe  So cute!

The cake looks good. yum!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope the prep is going well for you… I kinda feel like I’m spinning my tires on ice but I’m banking on getting there!  hoho

Take care!

poppystamps Seed Snowflake Joy Card…

It’s a candy cane JOY today! Using poppystamps Seed Snowflake Joy die, Tidings of Joy stamp set, twine and white and red cardstock!

I placed a strip of red on the white card base, then mounted the die cut white panel with foam tape to the red strip.

For the candy cane stripe, I cut strips of red and white cardstock with my paper trimmer, covered a piece of copy paper with tape and placed the strips alternating colors over the tape diagonally. Then I die cut the J and Y from that piece.  I used glue and stuck them down flat inside the negative cut in the Seed Snowflake Joy panel.

I stamped the sentiment with the MISTI….oh, I did that before I mounted up the panel though…

I really like how this turned out…another CAS card and so Christmasy looking!

Stampendous Ugly Sweater Contest…

Hi everyone! You are probably wondering what in the world is she talking about now! haha  Well…you know how much fun it is to take on a challenge!  So here I am… but even though I’m supposed to have an ugly sweater here on this cool penguin… I sure wanted it to end up cute!  😀

I needed to stick with Stampendous products so that was a challenge too! The ornaments around it’s neck are from a Christmas tree set (looks like it’s discontinued). I colored the ornaments with Copics and drew the snowflakes on with a white gel pen.

So here’s the details…the gals have been posting since November 25th and continuing through December 8th.

There’s a prize for 3 commenters chosen from the designer’s blogs and Stampendous’ blog HERE.  The winning designer wins a prize too. I hope I win!!! lol

So I’d love it if you’d vote for my penguin between December 9 – 11.  😀  (shamelessly recruiting) lol

Back to the card… I heat embossed the sentiment, snowflakes and snow it’s standing on with white embossing powder. I inked the sky with Distress Oxide inks, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire and the ink blending tool. Did the water droplet thing and glued on some sequins.  It’s an A2 size card.

All I can say is, I’d hate to be walking around with ornaments around my neck! haha

Hope I made you smile with my ugly sweater and you enjoy checking out the other gal’s ugly sweaters!  Thanks for stopping by!  😀
