Made you smile! I know, I know! Thank you Jan for reminding me to add the puffy tail! Keep scrolling for the pretty floral embossing folder card.

Grab a grass die cut it in green….add washi tape to white cardstock and die cut eggs…stamp some words…heat emboss some other words…layer it all up and you’ve got a cute card! I’ll link what I used below.

I love using washi tape… it just adds a little bit of homespun or something! The cute sentiments add the whimsy!

Hippity hoppity to the next card…

Here I used the NEW 3D embossing folder. I lightly spritzed the panel of Memory Box Watercolor paper with water on both sides before I ran it through my Big Shot. Using blending brushes I blended ink on the panel with Distress Oxide inks. I used one of the finger daubers to do the green. I used my water droplet, clap on technique to get the white spots. Spray water into your hand, then rub them together and clap over the panel. I got a little green on the edges of the flowers so I went around the flower edges with a white gel pen. Oh and a few white gel pen dots on the flower centers.

The detail on this type folder is amazing! My pictures do not do it justice!

I die cut the NEW Glade Butterfly and NEW Just a Note Posh Script dies from white cardstock and vellum.

I layered the panel onto black cardstock and then to a light yellow A2 size cardbase.

I’m really happy with how it turned out… it almost went in the trash! lol

Simon Says Stamp Release….Send Happiness…3 Cards!

Happy Monday to you! Simon Says Stamp has a new release and they sent me this flower die to play with…I was already doing napkin die cutting so I went ahead and did this new Etched Flower die the same way! Scroll down to THIS post for a link to the technique/how to video.

I stamped the background for the flower die with the tone on tone look and the SSS Damask Background cling stamp. I die cut three panels, a white one, the stamped one and a dark pink one with the SSS Frames die, then inlaid pieces from each and taped them together on the back side. I mounted this panel with Mounting tape.

The sentiment is a stamp from the SSS Sending Sympathy clear stamp set and die cut with the SSS Stitched Rectangles die set. I had to recut it to get it the right size.

The NEW Etched flower die cuts two connected flowers…so I had this single flower left over and parts from the Frames die cuts so I made another card!

The sentiment is also from the Sending Sympathy stamp set. I taped the pieces together on the back side of the panel and used foam mounting tape to mount it to the cardbase.

My third card…I had an idea but this isn’t anywhere near what I was trying to do! lol I like it though! lol

I debated whether to stick with a thank you or make it a sympathy card… it could easy go for any occasion!

There’s the NEW Speckled Egg Distress ink is what I used on the white Etched Flower die cuts this time… peeled paint for the stems.

Memory Box 6×6 pattern paper pad for the three papers.

A thank you stamp and some cotton cord and I stuck it all to a white cardbase.

All three cards are A2 size.

poppystamps Leafy Garden Border Die, Napkin Die Cutting and Painting Technique…

Hi everyone! June is flying by just like these butterflies! I had so much fun revisiting the napkin die cutting and painting technique by Memory Box owner, Dave.

I did it just like he did except this time I used Distress Ink refills for the paint. I used a drop of refill ink and drops of water, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters and Forest Moss.

I used Gansai Tambi gold watercolor for the gold accents, I’ll link everything below.

The A2 cardbase doubles as the background. I inked it with the NEW Speckled Egg Distress Oxide with a little Tumbled Glass Oxide brushed on also.

Then water droplets, dried with the heat tool, then spattered with White Distress Oxide Spray. I just unscrew the bottle and tap the ink off the tube with a paintbrush a few times. I dried again with the heat tool because I wanted to finish putting the card together.

I used the thin mounting squares cut in half to mount the frame die cut and a few behind the leaves.

The sentiment from the Peony Garden Corner stamp set is heat embossed on black TE Oreo cardstock and cut out with the Scan and Cut machine.

Memory Box Harvest Double Arch Card and Winter Greenery Wreath Card…

Hi cardmaking friends! Have you tried Dave’s Die Cutting with Napkins Technique yet? I want to see what you make! Watch it HERE, you’re gonna love it! I’ve been playing with it the last few days and it’s so much fun!

I die cut two of each arch from the NEW Harvest Double Arch die, like Dave explains in the video. Painted them and arranged them into a wreath. It’s very easy to do because of the curve of the die cuts.

I painted with Gansai Tambi watercolors and Champagne Gold from Gansai Tambi Starry Colors set.

I adhered the diecut NEW Joy Airy Script die from Gold Mirror Cardstock and using mounting tape cut in narrow strips I stuck it to the inside of the wreath.

I stamped to the world from the NEW Merry and Bright Mistletoe clear stamp set in Coffee Archival ink.

Then I glued everything to a Taylored Expressions Toffee Cardstock A2 size top folding cardbase that I cut and scored.

My next card is another wreath. Yes I love them I guess! They keep making appearances on my cards! lol

Here I used my homemade 4 ¼ inch template for stamping wreaths. It’s similar to Gina K’s but her’s are different sizes. I’m sure her 4 inch or 4 ½ inch template would work too! I made mine by die cutting two 4 ¼ inch squares in a heavyweight cardstock. I have a Big Shot Plus which helps because you need the width when you have to cut on the diagonal to make the template this size.

I used the NEW Winter Greenery stamp set again… that smaller branch in the set… I will use the other branches soon too! lol Scroll down or click HERE for another version of this wreath…

The berries are from the NEW Mistletoe Swag stamp set…scroll down my blog to see a card made with it or click HERE and another card with this stamp set HERE.

I put the berries stamp on an acrylic block and just stamped them in pretty much the same place all around the wreath… you don’t really need the stamp platform or template for them. Anyway, I didn’t use one.

The black and red cardstocks are from Taylored Expressions, Cherry Pop and Oreo…link below. I can’t remember what inks I used to stamp the greenery and berries though! ugh Too many days since I made it.

I love the beautiful scripty font sentiments in this Winter Greenery set too… so pretty!

Concord and 9th Crafty Turnabout Birthday Cards For Friends…

Hi everyone! Here’s my first creating with Concord and 9th Turnabout stamps. It took me an afternoon to get everything figured out. The right ink on the right cardstock, etc. I don’t like it when the ink bleeds and you can’t read the words, like the “sent with love” and “hello”, no bleeding allowed! So I soldiered on until I found cardstock and ink that performed!

The other ‘trick’ is making sure to get the ink cleaned off the stamp before the next color. I used my Tim Holtz Travel stamp platform. I love that thing! I use all my stamp platforms but some just work better for some things than others so I’m glad I have them all.

In this case, because the lid comes off, I could just take it to the sink with the stamp still on the lid and wash it under the running water with a little hand soap. Dried it with a towel. No ink color transfer! yay!

The other thing I absolutely love about using the TH travel platform is that I added the Sizzix Sticky Sheet to the base of it and I don’t have to use the magnets then! So amazing AND it shims just a tad bit and stamps better IMO. YAY! I’ll link to this below. If you need a picture, email me and I’ll send you a picture from my iPhone.

You can kinda see a peek of the inside of the card. You end up with a stamped 6×6 piece and it sure is hard to chop it down! lol I took the piece I cut off and glued it inside! lol

Here’s a couple close ups. I used two different colors for the base panel, that’s why I put in two close up photos. I love how they turned out and my fellow cardmaking friends loved them too! YAY!

I used Lawn Fawn inks on 80# Neenah Solar White Classic Crest smooth cardstock. A lot of times I use the heavier but in this case, there is a difference between stamping on the two and the 80# didn’t bleed like the 110# did! Maybe that’s just an Iowa thing! lol

I’m curious what everyone else uses for this type of color with stamp pad stamping?! I’d love to hear what you like if you have time to comment!

So I stamped a few extra backgrounds while I was at it because I loved it so much when I finally succeeded. hehe

Such an awesome sentiment! For the scissors I had some eyelet brads so I used them but an eyelet would’ve worked perfectly also.
