Window Scene for Inkspirational Challenges…

Hello weekend and friends! I’m delighted to be a guest for this week’s challenge over at Inspirational Challenges. The theme this time is ‘windows’.

A little ink smooshing and die cutting, oh and white heat embossing on black and this card could really be used for a lot of occasions.  I went with belated birthday because that is something I need but rarely have made ahead.

I used Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks for my inky background, just on regular card-stock this time.

I die cut Taylored Expressions In the Garden die from black card-stock three times, layering/gluing them together to get that fun dimensional look we all love.

I layered/taped the smooshed panel to an A2 card-base, Then glued on the black silhouette scene.  I die cut the Memory Box Modern Tile die from white card-stock, then added foam mounting strips on all four sides, on the back and adhered it on the top.

I white embossed the sentiment from Taylored Expressions Some Like it Hot stamp set on a black card-stock strip and glued it on last..

I made two enamel dots with Ranger Caribbean Coast Enamel Accents, let them dry and glued them on the sentiment strip.

Thank you so much to Marina and her team for inviting me to guest design for this post. I enjoy challenges and love participating with the Inkspirational challenges when I can. I hope you will take the window challenge!  Can’t wait to see what everyone creates!

A snow-globe kind of birthday card…

pam-sparks-penguins-could-talk

I had fun using some Papertrey Ink dies and Taylored Expressions stamps to make this card.  A Distress ink background with ink spatters…some copic coloring and fussy cutting and it was ready to put together.

A very fun shape card and the first time for me to use this stamp set!  So I’m linking up to Darnell’s NBUS challenge #10!  yay!

The challenge at Stamping Sensations Challenge blog is Animal Magic so I’m linking up there too.

The challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges blog is a card with an animal too…count me in!

Over at Jingle Belles Challenge the theme is ‘let the flakes fall where they may’  So cute!

Here’s a close up…

It could’ve easy been a shaker but I like it a lot this way too!  Just making paper snow this year!  I think the snow is all going north of us. hehe  Sorry northerners!

Thanks for stopping by!  ‘preciate it and no I won’t ask you to go count how many snow-globe stamps and dies you own already. #chuckle

Neat and Tangled Merry Bear Birthday Card…

pam-sparks-charleys-2nd-b-day-flat

Look at this adorable little snowman! It’s family birthday time again and our youngest grandson is turning two tomorrow!  Where does the time go?!

I wanted to play in the NBUS challenge with the option of color pencil on kraft.  I love how this almost looks like wood!

pam-sparks-charleys-2nd-b-day

I stamped with the MISTI, colored with pencil, then went back and using the MISTI again, I left the stamps where they were, inked with black pigment embossing ink, stamped them and heat embossed them with black powder.

So many times when you color with pencils you lose the strong black line.  We used to do this years ago when Stampa Rosa had the House Mouse stamps. We would stamp them their stamp positioner, color them with Tombow markers and then come back and emboss them over the top of the marker coloring.  Amazing the difference.

Next time I am going to color the image right in the MISTI without moving the card-stock.  There was enough ‘user error’ this time that I had to stamp the bear a few times and ended up with a thicker black line then the stamp really has. grrr   Still cute though!

Hopefully we’ll get some snow for his birthday!  haha  It’s been a weird, rainy Winter for Iowa.  Not used to dark and dreary.  It’s usually bright with snow!  I’m sure we’ll get those Winters again.

Two CAS Christmas cards…

pam-sparks-ha-nativity-cas

Hi everyone! I have to get some posts in while it’s snowing here on the blog! lol Sharing the two cards I had the gals make at our stamp club Christmas party a couple weeks ago.

I stamped the silhouette image and sentiment from Hero Arts in black multiple times with the MISTI and Versafine Onyx Black ink, then using clear embossing powder I embossed it on a periwinkle color card-stock. The stamp set is, Greatest Gift CL559 if you want to google it.

Then I inked it with Chipped Sapphire Distress ink and an ink blending tool.

The pretty Avery Elle pierced postal frame die cut and mounted with strips of craft foam. I covered both sides of a piece of craft foam with Scor-tape and cut it into strips. Thank you Cindy for that technique! It’s awesome!

Here I used a snowflake background and word from Taylored Expressions and Crafter’s Companion watercolor paper. It’s really white. The holly and berries from Reverse Confetti.

Very easy A2 size and flat for mailing cards!  I hope you’re enjoying this creative and busy season!  It is going by way too fast for me! The tree is up and decorated and some of the other decorative things are out. yay!

oh presents…well…we’re working on it! lol

Take care! Thanks for stopping by today!

P.S. I have one TE Christmas Card class kit left if anyone is interested! I’d love to sell it!  Photo and price on the ‘For Sale’ page, a tab under my blog title.
