Happy New Year!   Our challenge to you this week at Tilda’s Town challenges is to create something for the New Year!

Tilda’s Town is a most magical shop specializing in Magnolia Stamps. Over 1,100 stamps in stock at all times. Tilda’s Town offers FREE worldwide shipping on every order, every day. You can also save up to an additional 20% on your purchase by using one of the famous coupon codes. Shop at http://www.tildastown.com and live the magic.

I used a couple older Magnolia stamps from the So Jolly collection @ Tilda’s Town. com, HERE and the snowflake DooHickeys die HERE.

I stamped on PTI card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Die cut the Fir in Snow image with Spellbinders rectangle die, left it in the die and embossed it.  Colored in the snowflakes with white gel pen.  Let them dry and then used Distress ink pads in Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Jeans, applied with the Ink Blending tool while the image was still in the die.  The Calendar stamp is colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  Stardust stickles on the snowflake and circles.

The pattern paper is from SEI… two years ago, maybe three… who knows! lol  I purchased three sheets of it and I still have one left!  It’s so pretty.   Do you remember my House Mouse card?  I used it then too… it’s HERE… I loved this card.  Are you ever that way?  Every once in awhile I have a card I just love more than others… hehe   So, make that three years… the date of this post was 2009!  My how time flies!

I used my Perfect Paper Layering Tools… link over there on the right!  Yes, YOU need them… they are awesome!  : )   Use that Christmas cash! HOHOHO

Happy New Year to you dear stamping friends!  It’s been a great year and 2013 is looking even better!  Why? Because today our internet service was fixed!!!  I have been limping a long with less than stellar service for a couple years.  The last several months it’s progressively gotten worse until this last week it’s been less than 1 mbps when it’s supposed to be up to 15 mbps!!!   I am in shock today to be speeding along!  I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry!  All that to say,  I hope I get around better this year!  I should!!!!

It’s a joy following and sharing this wonderful stamping and paper-art hobby with you!  Thanks again for a wonderful 2012 and looking forward to 2013!

Be sure to scroll down for the great sale at the Scrapping Center!  Trust me,  it’s amazing!  hehe

talk to you again soon!

Scrapping Center SALE and Caroling Daisy…

20% off PLUS an additional 10% off when  you use the code VETERANS!

The best part of waking up is not Folgers in your cup anymore!!!  It’s waking up to a SALE! lol

🎄 🎄 🎄

Meet Caroling Daisy… a new clear stamp from the Don and Daisy line by Marianne Design.  She is stamped on Hammermill 80# Color copy paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.  The pattern paper is from the NEW Fancy Pants Christmas 6×6 pad.

I used the new Book die from Marianne Design and stamped a stamp from Embossing Arts on the book page.  I had to use a negative mask (I made it by stamping and cutting out what I wanted to stamp)  to stamp the image.

Martha Stewart holly branch punch and holly border punch. ok – the holly branch punch is hard to find, some places say discontinued… I found it at Blue Moon, link below… if you want it… grab it while you can!  The JOY sentiment is from Printworks Collection.

I wish I’d thought to stickle up the candle beams… there is always something I think of after the fact… this is already version 2! lol

Believe it or not,  I used the Sweet Stop Sketches sketch for my card!!! lol   I’m going to go ahead and link it up even though I had to take a detour or two! hehe

Thanks for stopping by!  I appreciate it! I love hearing from you and appreciate all your awesome comments and friendship!!!

Guest for Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge…

It’s sooooo fun to play in challenges here and there… awhile back I won a guest designer position on the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenges blog with my Hay Rides Kiddos card!!!  YEA!  You can see it HERE.   Love Karen’s sketches!

Thanks Karen for the sweet sketches and the invitation to join the challenge this time!

Here’s the sketch I used today…

Here’s a list of the Sweet Sunday Sketch designers… click to see their fabulous takes on the sketch!

I had to mirror image the sketch so the Penny Black Mimi image would fit between the houses in the October Afternoon pattern paper from a few years ago.   I will always love this house paper!   I’ll be so sad when the last piece is used up… it’s timeless!  The dot and the poinsettia are from the same collection.

The sentiment stamp I used is from a clear set by PaperTrey Ink, called Stylish Sentiments: Holiday.  It was new last year I think.  I stamped it with Colorbox Dark Brown Chalk ink.

Mimi is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers. I used W3 under the reds, R24, E07 and R59.  Her coat started out with BG10…had to add other BG colors and then use some W1 gray to get it to match the paper.  I edged the papers with Antique Linen Distress ink and the Ink Blending tool.  I used my Perfect Layers Tools for Perfect mats… love, love the 1/16th inch ruler!  For this card I used 1/16th and 3/16ths.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Click over to the Sweet Sketches Challenge and play along!  ttul!

Stamps and supplies I used to make this card… (I couldn’t find the same flower punch I used to link up to, so I linked to another that I also thought about using)

NEW for July dies are the Olive Branch, two on the die,  going opposite directions!  Love that!  I only used one complete one behind the large Phlox Flower, the rest are parts… pretty cool I think! hehe  The 8 Petal and branch die… the centers on the Phlox Flowers are from this die… I’ll show the rest on Thursday.  The awesome thing about it is, there are two different flowers and multiples of each so you don’t have to run it through the die cut machine so many  times! yea!  There is also a stem for the flowers to “grow” on!!! woohoo! There’s a new Button die and Sweet Treats die!  You’ll see them some more this week during previews and everything will be up for sale in the store THURSDAY NIGHT at 8 P.M. CST

“Hey Cupcake and Have a sweet day” are part of the NEW AmyR Stamps SWEET Sentiment set!  So awesome!  Love the sentiment sets from CC Designs… so many ways to combine messages!  Scroll down for my video using the sentiments and positioning them on your creations.  It’s also listed under the pulldown tutorial tab at the top under the header.

oh fun… I wanted a simple border… going along with the sketch I followed and I wanted to use something from the CC Designs Cutters die line so… I got out my magnetic holders and started looking…hehe… yep. that delicate little scallop border is from the Christmas Bulb Border die!!!  So lacy and feminine looking!  love it!  I had to use the Fence die!   Haven’t used it for a couple weeks.  Forgot to punch hearts in the pickets though! boo… My videos for how to’s on the fence are under the tutorial tab at the top of this page also.

This 6×6 pattern paper is from a Fancy Pants Summer pad… I doubt that it’s available anymore.  I can’t use this paper up fast enough!  I’m trying though! lol
