Printworks 2015 Christmas release stamps…

Pam Sparks Big Bow Bertie

Meet Big Bow Bertie … some serious personality for a snowman!  I love this happy guy!  I mean, how many guys would wear a big festive bow like this?!   I stamped him on Hobby Lobby watercolor paper and colored with Zig Clean Color Brush Paint markers. Spritzed with Pearl spray…

The happy winter sentiment is from Printworks too.

I used four dies from Memory Box, Modern Tile Background for the window look, Dancing Snowflake Frame and the Small Winter sled.  I die cut the sled from three cardstocks.  Silver for the base, red for the curved guide bar and woodgrain for the slats.  I left the silver whole, trimmed off the red bar, trimmed the woodgrain down and used a silver gel pen between the slats so it’d look like the base showing through. Easy and it looks like one of those Jolee stickers!  The snowflake is from the Wintry Snowflake BundleOh, I did use an ⅛ inch hole punch to put the paper cord through on the red guide bar.

Pam Sparks Fairy Snow Queen

Next –  This delightful creature is this year’s Limited Edition Snowman!  Isn’t she gorgeous?!  Fairy Snow Queen is her name! I softly watercolored her, then painted Frosted Lace Stickles over her.  Heart of Gold Prills on her crown.

The sentiment is new, Magical Winterheat embossed on vellum with Judikins Silver Twinkle embossing powder.  She’s mounted to a piece of American Crafts Glitter cardstock.

I think she’ll be a hit with the granddaughters!

Pam Sparks Grinchmas Tree

Last for today… the Grinchmas TreeI love it!  Stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored sloppily with two green Copic sketch markers!  Oh and a couple browns.  Some Heidi Swapp Gold splatters… some more Prills…Minnie Pearls this time.

Some Washi tape… one of the faster cards I’ve ever made!

The felt I used is from Taylored Expressions… Tiffany, Avocado, Marshmallow, Charcoal and Black.  I colored a scrap of Marshmallow with an orange copic sketch marker and then trimmed out a teeny carrot nose and glued the eyes, nose, scarf and buttons on with Tombow Mono Multi glue.  (green lids)

The candy cane is an organic, no artificial food dye, candy cane that I get at Christmas time at Whole Foods or through one of the online stores.  : )

One more look and holler if you have any questions…

Super cute Suzie Q from Printworks…

PamSparksSuzieQPW700

Hi everyone!  It seems like it’s been some time since I blogged a card!  eek!  It has been!  I’ve been making cards though and will have a Memory Box surprise to share with you soon!

This SUPER cute Suzie Q snow gal from Printworks has just been on the desk staring at me, waiting for me to ink and color her up since before Christmas!  She’s just in time for Valentines Day!

Have you heard about the NEW Chameleon Markers?  That’s what I colored with!  Very cool and my favorite thing today was how easy it was to color her cheeks!  I used the RED marker!  I know…crazy cool!

AND of course I used my Perfect Layers mini Rulers and cutting mat for layering up the papers!  Thee best things ever!  Truly are time saving in lining up and getting everything ‘perfect’!  Shop through my links and use my code to save 10%

Super cute new sentiments too… on the outside and on the inside!  One of the new snowflakes… AND Printworks is having a sale JUST TODAY!  I’ll add the details at the end of my post.  If you don’t make the sale today, shop anytime and use the code in my sidebar to save!

This is the inside of the card…

PamSparksSuzieQInside

lovin’ this MME Crush 6×6 paper pad too!  I haven’t purchased pattern paper since….fortunately my memory is bad! lol   and the snowflake paper clips?!  oh my, had to have them! 5 in a pack, so two packs please! lol

oops! Beware taking pictures of the inside with vellum sticking off the top of your card front. When you fold it back and crease it…well, you get a nice line that wasn’t there before!  Like I always say, “all of life is education”.  Applies to card making too! grrrr

Then I had to have something to hold the card up to photograph the inside cuz of course it STILL wouldn’t stand up even after creasing!  I’m proud of me.  I didn’t tear it apart and do it over! @@

It’s really hard to get ready for Thanksgiving Dinner when there’s so many fun challenges to play in.  Are you the same way?  I’m looking forward to company and pie but…all the stamps, dies, paper and ink are always callin’ my name! haha

Here’s a close up of the glittery, frosty scene…brrrrr!  I ran it through the xyron so the adhesive would be on the front and then glittered it.

Perfect Paper Crafting and Lawn Fawn Blog Hop…

PamSparksLFSnowmanPostcard700

Welcome everyone!  It’s a blog hop Monday for Perfect Paper Crafting and Lawn Fawn!

get-attachment.aspx

If you hopped to my blog from Tracy’s Blog, you’re in the right place!

Today you’re hopping and commenting for a chance to win your choice between two prizes from Perfect Paper Crafting and from Lawn Fawn the prize is a stamp set and a 6×6 pattern paper pad! Good luck!

You’ll want to check out the Perfect Paper Crafting and Lawn Fawn blogs everyday this week for more inspiration and chances to win.

For my card today – I used Lawn Fawn’s darling Making Frosty Friends clear stamp set, You’ve Got Mail clear stamp set and the holly is from the NEW Joy To the Woods clear stamp set.  I used the coordinating die sets too… all linked below. Don’t you love all the clear stamps and matching die sets?!

The snowflake pattern paper (beanie) is from the adorable Snow Day Collection that just came out.

  • I stamped the postcard, cancellation and wavy lines stamps on white card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink
  • I die cut the stamped postcard with the new Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles die (love them!)
  • I stamped the sentiment from You’ve Got Mail stamp set in red ink
  • I stamped the snowflakes from Making Frosty Friends stamp set with Versamark ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder
  • I masked off the edges with Eclipse Masking strips
  • I inked the postcard area with Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress ink and the ink blending tools, the clear embossed snowflakes resist the ink
  • I die cut red pattern paper with the new Stitched Rectangles die,  then I used my Perfect Layers mini rulers and mat to achieve the 1/16th inch black frame.  I LOVE the 1/16th inch ruler!  Links to the tools below and in the sidebar…be sure to use the code Sparks5% to save 5% off your order!
  • I die cut another Stitched Rectangles die from white card-stock and adhered it to a white A2 card base.
  • The snowman is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, die cut with the coordinating dies and colored with Copic Sketch markers. Hat T3 – 7, Red R24 – 29 and 59, Scarf and holly YG93 – 97
  • I die cut a Memory Box snowflake to embellish the upper left hand corner
