Simon Says Stamp New Beginnings Release…Artsy Flower Parts

So happy to share a card with you today using the NEW Artsy Flower Parts stamp set from the New Beginnings release available today!  Such sweet flowers!  I love this set already!

I spritzed a piece of Canson Montval watercolor paper with water and then stamped the images inked with Distress Inks.  After everything was inked and stamped I spritzed with water again to cause the inks to bleed.  I kept it in the MISTI stamping tool to dry so the magnets held it down to keep it from warping.

Here’s a capture of the layered up wishing die cut.  I die cut it three times and glued them together with Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue.

I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on black card-stock and trimmed it with an Omnigrid ruler and finger knife.

Tied on some twine, layered it on black card-stock and then on this celery green card-base.

Printworks Collection 2016 LE Snowman, Little Rascals…

pam-sparks-le-snowman-2016-vs2

Could this pair be any cuter?  The ‘snow play‘ sentiment fits the image to a ‘t’!  This is the NEW 2016 Limited Edition Snowman from Printworks Collection.  Part of their latest release which includes more snowmen and wonderful Winter/Snow sentiments. You just can’t get any cuter than Annette’s super cute snowmen!

I stamped the snowflake stamp in the background on Strathmore 140# Mixed Media Card-stock with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with white embossing powder.

Distress ink pads and the ink blending tools blend wonderfully on this Mixed Media card-stock. I blended over the embossed snowflakes with a couple different blues and spattered some blue ink and then white with a paintbrush.

I painted/colored the snowman and pup with a combination of Zig Clean Color Brush Markers and Distress Inks. Stamped on watercolor paper with Ranger Archival Black ink and cut out by hand.

The snow border is a new poppystamps die, Dotted Curve.

Wow, the last few weeks…where did they go?!  I’ve been making cards, just can’t show them! waaahhh   In the meantime, my camera just up and quit one morning!  Did you hear me scream? A new camera was not on my radar! If you know me, you know I like to research and develop so to speak. lol

Yes, I lost sleep! Thanks to a generous husband, a very knowledgeable friend and a great salesman at the camera store I have a new camera and now if the sun would just shine…. hehe   I’ll figure it out!  I have to! lol

Tomorrow is our area stamp club so I’m going to escape from home for a few hours.  I am probably the only person that still hasn’t taken their Christmas tree down.  I knew it wasn’t a good idea to get a fake tree!  Quit laughing at me!  haha  I’ve been very busy! lol

I’ve missed coming here and chatting through comments.  I always appreciate hearing from you and thank you so much to those that sent me Christmas cards!  I LOVED them all!

I’ll be back!

Avery Elle Kitsch Christmas birthday card…

pam-sparks-bryants-10th-b-day-card

Hi everyone! Just stopping in to share a birthday card for our grandson Bryant. I just had to use this adorable Avery Elle Christmas Kitsch stamp and die set!  Soooooo CUTE!  So fun to color.

I made an ink blended sky with Distress inks  and stamped the three snowflakes from the set with Delicata Silver ink.  I added a few Pretty Pink Posh 3mm Sparkling Clear sequins.  I love these tiny ones!

pam-sparks-bryants-10th-b-day-card-close

The Memory Box Fresh Pine Landscape die is the background piece die cut in white card-stock.

I used the poppystamps Delicate Holly Frame die adhered to the scene with mounting squares under the solid holly leaves.

The deer are colored with Copic Sketch Markers, the E30 series. Copic Opaque White painted on the eyes and the spots.

I hope you’re having a nice relaxed Christmas prep week! Tim went to turn on the oven Saturday and the element in the oven went bad. ugh.  So all of a sudden we were stove shopping…or he was! lol  Poor guy.  He even went and picked one up by himself!  It’s really nice! I will enjoy heating up my cocoa with it! lol

I was busy making gift tags! hoho  I have a picture over on instagram but haven’t taken a picture with the camera yet.  They’re cute if you want to see… ugh…more deer!  WHAT?!  They are fun though…the Printworks antlers and googly eyes and a big red nose ‘Cool Yule’ kind of tag on kraft! yes!  Link to my IG page is over in the sidebar.

ok – I’ll shut up and get back to work!  Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy some cocoa with me next!  (I wish)

Printworks Collection Watercolor Poinsettia and new stencil…

pam-sparks-2016-poinsettia

Did you know Printworks Collection has stencils now?!  Yes!  They are so cool too…random and fun!  Here I used the new Summer Rain stencil with the Watercolor Poinsettia J2288.  HERE they are in the store…

pam-sparks-2016-poinsettia-close

I heat embossed the poinsettia with gold powder and colored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. To get the shimmer on the petals and leaves, I colored it with a Spectrum glitter brush marker.

I edged the background stenciled piece with Gold Delicata ink and an ink dauber.

The frame is from Taylored Expressions. The sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh, the Christmas collection.

How are you?  Yikes, don’t ask me. lol  I have stuff everywhere.  I keep starting things and then starting something else! HELP!  I wrap presents until I can’t find the right size box so I try to design a tag until I can’t find the right die for what I want to do.  How could I not have the right die you ask?  Well, I wonder the same thing!!! Cards started then stopping for life.  This morning I went to get a hair cut and I forgot to take the little bag of cards that I’d put together to give the gal. So another trip out and about.

I have another birthday card done though!  YAY!  I’ll post it next.

Thanks so much for your sweet comments and encouraging words! I need them! Take care and keep warm and cozy!

P.S.  Order from Printworks today through Friday, December 16th and receive FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $20. No code needed!

Two CAS Christmas cards…

pam-sparks-ha-nativity-cas

Hi everyone! I have to get some posts in while it’s snowing here on the blog! lol Sharing the two cards I had the gals make at our stamp club Christmas party a couple weeks ago.

I stamped the silhouette image and sentiment from Hero Arts in black multiple times with the MISTI and Versafine Onyx Black ink, then using clear embossing powder I embossed it on a periwinkle color card-stock. The stamp set is, Greatest Gift CL559 if you want to google it.

Then I inked it with Chipped Sapphire Distress ink and an ink blending tool.

The pretty Avery Elle pierced postal frame die cut and mounted with strips of craft foam. I covered both sides of a piece of craft foam with Scor-tape and cut it into strips. Thank you Cindy for that technique! It’s awesome!

pam-sparks-snowflake-bkgrd-noel

Here I used a snowflake background and word from Taylored Expressions and Crafter’s Companion watercolor paper. It’s really white. The holly and berries from Reverse Confetti.

Very easy A2 size and flat for mailing cards!  I hope you’re enjoying this creative and busy season!  It is going by way too fast for me! The tree is up and decorated and some of the other decorative things are out. yay!

oh presents…well…we’re working on it! lol

Take care! Thanks for stopping by today!

P.S. I have one TE Christmas Card class kit left if anyone is interested! I’d love to sell it!  Photo and price on the ‘For Sale’ page, a tab under my blog title.
