Printworks… CAS-ual Fridays…kraft on…

add some jingle!  I love to sing and I’ve always loved the ‘Deck the Halls with boughs of Holly’ song!  What a cute silhouette elf… All the stamps are from Printworks Collection.  This is one of the cards I designed for them and will be showing up on a sample board in retail stores around the country! I can’t wait to hear from you, if you’ve seen it in person!

The challenge over on the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Blog is Kraft On… so I’m entering my card there!

Here’s the inside…

I used my Perfect Layers tools for matting…Printworks Oak Brown ink and the Ink Blending Tool to edge the papers. Holly painted with Printworks stamp pad ink and reinkers. I use the Omnigrid ruler to line up the fishtail banner straight.  The Die-namics Fishtail banner that I’m linking to, would’ve worked, I didn’t have it at the time… have it now! hehe  May Arts ribbon… I think you can get this from Printworks too,  just email Nicole & Chelsea at the store site.

Printworks Collection Angel…

So sweet!  I LOVE this angel called Sweet Music from Printworks Collection… she’s in the store HERE as a cling stamp and HERE as a wood mounted stamp.  The Rejoice stamp is HERE as a cling stamp and HERE as a wood mounted stamp.

The background stamp I used is Printworks JB3979 Old English Scripture…the Christmas story from the book of Luke.  The speckles on the kraft tag are from the stamp Paint Spatters  HERE.

I did her up another way and she’s on a sample board that is going out to retail stores… I’ll show you as soon as I can!

October 2012 Papertrey Blog Hop…

This is my first time to participate in one of the Papertrey Ink blog hops!  I LOVE the color combos they challenged everyone with.. I hope to use some of the other combos too!

I used this one… I found the colors in card-stock and then it hit me… these are the colors of one of the Basic Grey Christmas collections from a few years ago!  I knew I had some pieces and scraps, so I dug them out and started working.   The colors matched perfectly! yea!

I used PTI Sweet Blush and Dark Chocolate card-stocks.  The Ripe Olive was a little dark, so I used a tad bit lighter green card-stock for the leaves.

The poinsettia is the PTI Year of the Flower Poinsettia set and die set.
The sentiment is from the Think Big Favorites #20 Mini Stamp Set .
I used the Tag Sale #5 Die for the ‘tails’ under the poinsettia.
I colored a bit on the poinsettias… I used RV21… I know… sounds too pink but it was better than the R11, 20 or 21..they made it too peach.

I don’t own any PTI stamp inks but the Colorbox Rose Coral and Olive Pastel Chalk inks matched great, so that’s what I stamped the poinsettias with.  The sentiment is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Thanks for stopping by… click on the PTI links above to go the inlinkz list of other blog hop participants!

I know…two poinsettia cards this week! hehe  and I used this one week before last I think and colored it… so pretty… love poinsettias!  So I’ll cool it on poinsettias for awhile! lol

Marianne Design Poinsettia…

Tis the Season…well…for Christmas card making for sure!  Just heard the weather report on the radio… you know you live in Iowa when one day is 80˚ and the next is down to 48˚!   I’ve got the air conditioning back on!  I wonder if it’s cold in TX?! lol

Marianne Design dies and a Printworks Collection sentiment HERE… I know… gold embossing powder even!  I used the superfine stuff and I’m happy with how it turned out on the texture paper this time… never know what’s gonna happen with textured paper!

I used the Poinsettia,  the mini Poinsettia,  Anja’s Square, Flourishes,  Snowflake and Pine Branch all from Marianne Design.   Bazzil Cardstock,  Hero Arts gold gems and Printworks gold cord.

Thanks for stopping by today for my festive card… oh,  almost forgot…I edged the papers and cuts with a gold pigment embossing pad and I used the pearl pen on the snowflake for the white dots.  I’m not very good with that thing! oh well,  still adds a pretty touch! hehe

Magnolia, Tilda’s Town Challenges… Merry Christmas!

Better watch out!  This Santa Edwin is keeping track…hope you’ve been good!  I’m not telling! hohoho!

Time for the weekly Tilda’s Town Challenge… this week the theme is MERRY CHRISTMAS!  I knew you’d love it!  I wanted to use some new stamps but only ended up using one of the new collection.   So fun though… I hadn’t used this Santa Edwin yet,  so that’s the same as new to me!  Love this comfy Christmas scene!

The window die just came yesterday!!! YEA!  LOVE it!  The Winter Scene Background stamp is perfect with it!

I stamped up the images, cut them out, colored with Copic Sketch markers and made my scene.  This Fancy Pants 6×6 Christmas pad just showed up at my door yesterday too…  Great timing!  I know,  I said I wasn’t going to buy any more paper!  NAUGHTY!  boo!

The naughty or nice is from an older Sizzlet strip die #655203, I googled and found it here… I’ve not ordered from them before, Scrapbook Niche.   Ebay auction HERE for the naughty/nice die. Holly die link below.

Be sure to click over to see the Design Team cards HERE… they’re fabulous.  Hope you can join us for the Merry Christmas challenge!
