Leaping Reindeer…

deer#2

The front…

e

the inside…

I saw Shelly’s pop up leaping reindeer card HERE and wanted to try… I didn’t succeed with the swivel yet but went ahead and finished the card just as a pop up inside.  I like it anyway…funny thing is…when I started it Monday, I thought I would make six! hahahahaha, joke was on me… just because my prototype worked! lol

It was fun to try and check out her post for today… so cool!

I used some older Basic Grey paper and Tim Holtz dies HERE.   I used a Sizzix tree die but after, I thought the Tim Holtz tree sure would’ve been cool!  The pine branch on the front is from Impression Obsession. I swiped some Delicata gold ink on the branches… oh, the scene has Gingerbread Glimmer mist on it also…hard to see.  Perfect Paper Layers tools to mat the front…link in the sidebar…

The gold berries on the front are from Marianne Design.  The stamp I used for the winter scene on the front is from Penny Black, it’s called Heaven and Earth and you’ll find it HERE and 20% off too!

It’s crazy here right now… we’ve been working on our house… decisions and decisions…ugh…taking away from my creativity!  Want to see a scary photo?! haha  Now remember, we live in a big old house… 3 stories…4 if you count the basement!    Well,  we hadn’t restored the back stairway yet, so,  guess what…it shares a wall with the kitchen, the wall the stove is on, so we were able to install a range hood and vent it to the outdoors…love it but most of all, Tim was able to install a Central Vacuum system!!! OH,  how I LOVE it!  Something every woman should have! hehe  No,  I’m not linking up to anything! lol  It was a very big deal figuring out what to order that would work in our house but it turned out fabulous!  yea!  Early Merry Christmas to me!

So now, it’s getting the stairway built back in…right now the cavity is 27 feet plus tall!!!  Crazy…amazing how they built old houses!  It’s really hard to show in pictures but I wish I could…if you open the door on the 2nd floor… don’t take a step…you’d drop all the way to the basement! eek! So much for the excitement here…more to do because of course, one thing leads to another! lol

Thanks for stopping by!  Fun to post today and thank you for your kind comments and visits!

CAS, Memory Box Wreath card and Printworks SALE…

Oh my!  I’ve about forgotten how to blog!  Yikes!  That means I’ve been gone toooo long!  I’m hoping to do more stamping this week… I have to! : )

I made this with two Memory Box dies, a Magnolia Doohickey die (that I altered),  an older Hero Arts sentiment and probably  even older pattern paper from Cosmo Cricket!  I’m linking to another Memory Box die that I think would work for the bow too…

I used two of the grapevine wreaths layered on top of each other but turned, so they didn’t match up.  Then I die cut  four of the holly vine  and used the top halves of each, to stick into the wreath rather random like.  Joy and Peace is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink,  my favorite for stamping sentiments.  (don’t try to color with copics with it though..it’ll mess up your nibs!)  Papers edged with Walnut Stain Distress ink and the ink blending tool.

Kraft card base… love kraft! : )  Love my perfect paper layering tools too… used the 1/16th inch one here.

It’s a 5 in. x 7 in. card… A-7 size envelope!

Printworks and Merry Christmas on Thanksgiving! : )

Hi everyone!  It’s been 10 days since I posted! eek!  Wow, time flies!!!  Just for fun I’m showing you the second stack of cards I sent off to PrintWorks the first of November… it reassures me that I can stamp and create! lol These cards are on sample boards in retail stamp and scrapbook stores.

It’s been ten days of setting up Tilda’s Town Design Team and spending time with family.  yea!  Love all the grand kiddos!

Here’s a close up of the reindeer card… the photo below is from the first set I made… regular gold embossing powder comes out bumpy… the second set, the photo above, I used the super fine gold embossing powder and the deer heated up smooth!  Both are pretty, but I decided I am partial to how the super fine turns out!  The sentiment embossed up really nice with the super fine also!  I used to heat emboss everything but for the last decade I’ve only used embossing powder on rare occasions.  It was fun to use it again and see the ‘magic’! : )

I wish I’d taken a picture of the inside… ugh… I forgot… I used one of PrintWorks  Collection’s many sentiments for Christmas… F3157 Wonder of the Season…so many beautiful messages to choose from!

So thankful for you, my friends out there all over the world!  Who’d a thunk we’d all be sharing via blogs… I love it!   Thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll be talking to  you again soon!!!!

P.S.  have you been shopping?  of course I would bring that up!  I’m an addict! lol   I just ordered the NEW  Make it Merry Collection from October Afternoon!!!!  I LOVE it!  You’ll find it HERE at Blue Moon and HERE at Two Peas!  Awesome!  pp.ss. candy cane stripe washi tape with to: and from: on it!!!

Sweet Stamping Pixies – Monochrome…

Second Monday of the month and time for a NEW Sweet Stamping Pixies Challenge!

The challenge….monochrome!  So glad Jay Jay picked this.  I love it but forget to do it, so it’s a great challenge! I hope you can join us… click over to see the fabulous monochrome color choices the rest of the design team used.

I stamped on PTI card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with the E40 series Copic Sketch Markers.   E40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 47 and 49.

The ‘love’ word is from a pack of chipboard type sticker words by GCD Studios called Soul Food Word Stickers.

I love, love, LOVE this sentiment I used on the inside from Stampendous.  The true meaning of Christmas.

Linking to some challenges…

My card is featured on the Stampendous blog!!!  the challenge is Christmas CAS
