Taylored Expressions October Release Day…

pam-sparks-merry-c-mas-cutting-plate-2-thurs

Hello everyone! Are you loving the release this month?  Some beautiful designs for the holidays. Everything is now available in the Taylored Expressions Webstore.

Today I’m featuring the NEW Merry Christmas Cutting Plate die. I started my card by die cutting it twice from watercolor card-stock, carefully inking and  embossing the words with gold embossing powder and then coloring the botanicals with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers and a waterbrush.

I used ⅛th inch scor-tape around the frame, poured embossing powder on it and embossed it also.

I sandwiched/glued the card-base between the two Merry Christmas die cuts, so I would have a see through card strong enough to stand. One side of the card-base is only an ⅛th inch, just enough to glue to.

A pretty, just a touch rustic, vintage looking card.

Festive Holiday Florals…Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek…

pam-sparks-holiday-florals-plaid

Welcome to Tuesday’s sneak peek for the Taylored Expressions October Release Week! My favorite time of the year to be making cards!

I’m featuring the NEW, lovely and festive Holiday Florals stamp and die sets. I also used the NEW Woodgrain Background stamp and NEW Plaid Embossing Folder. YAY! I love woodgrain! hehe

Using the Mini MISTI, I stamped the images from the Florals set with TE Premium Ink Pads and then added color to some with Zig Watercolor Brush Paint markers and some with Copic Sketch markers. That little extra…

Then I die cut them with the coordinating Floral die set.

The sentiment is from the In and Out Christmas stamp set. I embossed it with Gold embossing powder on a die cut vellum Stitched Banner Stacklets and added a sentiment on the inside from the same set.

I stamped the NEW Woodgrain Background Stamp in the regular size MISTI  with Toffee and Chocolate Truffle ink.  I inked the edges with Toffee ink, then die cut the woodgrain panel with Stitched Rectangle Stacklets dies to form a frame.

The Cherry Pop red card-stock is embossed with the NEW Plaid Embossing Folder.

I layered everything on to Buttercream Frosting card-stock and then a Sweet Basil card-stock A-2 size top folding card-base.  Gold sequins for the Poinsettia centers.

Memory Box Poinsettia Band and We Wish You Elegant Script…

pam-sparks-we-wish-you-elegant-script

Hi everyone! I wish you a merry Monday! haha  Really, it’s not so bad!  I had a lot of fun getting out the copics and clear embossing powder for this die cut!  Just cut in white and color it up!  Smoosh it with some Versamark ink and pour on the clear embossing powder.  I used regular for this, not detail/super fine.

Then the decision of what to do with it!  Sometimes I get stuck! Ended up pretty festive though and I really like it!

Now to keep using up all the embossing powder from the last 22 years! HELP! lol

Happy Little Stampers October Christmas Challenge – Embossing
hls-christmas-challenge-october-2016The next card is my once (or twice) a year black glossy card with Silver and Gold metallic cardstock too and yes, so far it’s been a poinsettia card.  HERE and HERE are some previous ones. Oh this one has red instead of silver…HERE.  It’s sure hard to find cards going back on a blog.  There are a lot of cards here! lol

Reverse Confetti Birthday Cards…

pam-sparks-cedryks-b-day-2016

I have two birthday cards to share today.  This little monkey is so cute and worked up so well for our grandson Cedryk’s 4th birthday.  I colored him with Copic Sketch Markers, the E40s and the background is Distress Ink blended on to the card-stock with ink blending tools.

Memory Box Rectangle Layers die for the panel, the number 4 is from TE and the ‘th’ is from Avery Elle.

The next one was for our grandson Henry’s 10th birthday…

The sentiment…so fun! I think I’ll stay away from those chompers!

Copic colored again…same Distress ink pad colors for the floor and the hb2u balloon. Some Doodlebug Enamel Dots.

I stamped and hand cut the zero for the ten. eek. It was hard to find the right size but it worked.  hehe

poppystamps Ribbon Curl Ornament cards…

pam-sparks-riboon-curl-ornament-merry-bright

Hello! I hope it’s a Merry and Bright Friday where ever you are! No matter, my cards today will wake you right up!  Sparkle, sparkle!

Very simple card…dies cut in glitter card and mounted on a slightly glittered piece of Coordinations card-stock.

poppystamps Ribbon Curl Ornament die two ways…here I used it as a border. I  used a scrap of the gold glitter card to die cut another piece of the end for an ornament hanger.

The next card I used it as a hanging ornament.  Clipping off the lines and swirls on both sides leaves you with just a pretty ornament. Easy!

pam-sparks-ribbon-curl-ornament-merry-c-mas

I die cut poppystamps Merry Christmas Script die out of adhesive glitter foam but that was challenging.  I think next time, I’ll just use the red glitter card-stock!  This American Crafts Glitter card-stock is so pretty!

I used the Memory Box Shaker Rectangle Frames set for the gold frame and the Studio Rectangle Layers set for the white background piece. The Caps and Hooks die to hang the ornament from the tail of the ‘y’.

I glued on Pretty Pink Posh Gold sequins because it just needed ‘somethin’!

That’s it from me today! Thanks for stopping by! Happy Fall y’all!
