2 Cards with poppystamps Ribbon Heart Sidekick Frame and Stencil…Traditional Colors and non Traditional Colors!

Hi everyone! Thinking about Valentines Day yet? It’s crazy how early cardmakers think ahead! So much fun stuff to use! lol

Glimmer paste….so fun! I like this WAY better than glitter! I’m not wearing it! lol

I die cut the new poppystamps Ribbon Heart Sidekick Frame in white cardstock…then using the stencil that comes with the die, I did glimmer embossing paste on the hearts! I really like it! Fun texture and just kicks the CAS-ness of this card up a notch!

I heat embossed the sentiment from the new poppystamps Love and Friendship clear stamp set….I stamped using the MISTI tool with black pigment ink and detail black embossing powder. Just remember to use the anti static pouch on your cardstock first.

Any bow would work but I’ve had this skinny black gingham on the brain since I used it for the lamp post on a Christmas card. hehe

Next…the non traditional color card in a faux shaker!

Same new poppystamps Ribbon Heart Sidekick Frame and Stencil…die cut in white cardstock again and using the stencil, I ink blended on Distress Oxide inks in Worn Lipstick and a teeny bit of Barn Door.

The background is an ink blended piece using Spiced Marmalade, Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink pads and the mini ink blending tool.

A few water spots…then a bit of gold spattering.

I glued some Doodlebug sequins here and there to give the illusion of a shaker, a little bit of gold and white bakers twine for the bow and the new poppystamps Doodle Happy Valentines Day for the sentiment! It also comes with the apostrophe if you like it. I’ve read that it’s fine either way. I prefer it without! 😀 It’s a really cute sentiment, so whimsical!

Memory Box Scrollwork Heart Circle Frame…3 Cards

I do love hearts and it was so fun to use pink, green and kraft with this new Memory Box Scrollwork Heart Circle Frame die!

A 4 ¼ inch square card again…fits A2 or A6 envelopes for easy, one postage stamp mailing.

Mounting tape behind the hearts and the lace element make it easy to hold the pieces in place and adhere to the card base.

The sentiment is another from the new poppystamps Love and Friendship stamp set!

Next…

There has to be Cupids around shooting ppl with arrows for it to be love, right?! lol

Same Scrollwork Heart Circle Frame die on an A2 size card but I added the new MB Cupid Circle die in the center and the arrow from the new Cupid with Bow die at the bottom. I love this little arrow! It gets the ‘point’ across! lol

Traditional colors but the dot paper is more of a gray… fun!

The ‘love you’ sentiment is from the new MB Best Life Typewriter Sentiments stamp set. I love the variety in this set. Something for every occasion!

A shape card! Using the Basic Circles die set, I turned this one into a circle card!

Three Valentines with the NEW Memory Box Woodland Heart Frame Die…

First up…oops… I said Valentines up there but I made this one a birthday card! oh well, it could easy be a Valentine too! The Woodland Heart Frame die, the bike from the Neighborhood Heart Frame die and a sentiment from the new stamp set, Best Life Typewriter Sentiments.

I tore a piece of printer paper and inked the concrete and used a cloud stencil to ink the clouds. A little bit of Copic marker to make the shadows under the bike tires.

I love the heart in the tree, don’t you?!

I inked the kraft die cuts with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and the ink blending tool.

Here you can see that I used mounting tape to raise up the center circle. I just cut narrow strips…not hard at all!

Next…

It’s not Valentines Day unless I use some of this pool color, red and kraft! Oh and white!

The little heart flowers are from the new Scrollwork Heart Circle Frame die.

There’s that heart in the tree again! 😀

I used the new Love Jotted Script die too. I love these sentiment dies like this… so easy to glue up and even a little mounting tape under the top of the ‘L’.

I used mounting tape strips again for the center circle.

These cards will all mail easy for one postage stamp….even though they’re square they are 4 ¼ inch so will fit in an A2 envelope easy.

No fear of getting bored creating with these dies…mix and match and just have fun!

The sentiment I used is from the new poppystamps Love and Friendship clear stamp set. I’ll show another sentiment from the set on a card tomorrow.

I was going to post all 6 cards in one post but then I changed my mind…3 today and 3 tomorrow! Then who knows what will be next!

It’s a beautiful, sunny day on this 10th day of January already! Soakin’ up the sun sounds good!

Hi cardmakers and friends! I’m so honored to be the guest card designer at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge blog today! I love making cards this time of year and I love receiving them too! I went with a clean and simple take to the challenge sketch! So fun!

I was so tickled to find this die in my stash that so resembled all the circles! So I die cut it 3 times, glued them together so it’d have a frosty, dimensional feel. Cuz brrrrr it’s gonna be cold outside! haha It’s every other day in Iowa…in fact we can have all four seasons in one day! haha No snow yet though!

Shoot me now cuz, grrr, this poppystamps Scribble Snowflake Circle die is a discontinued one. I will link up some other dies below that I think would work nicely for this type of card too! I just kept finding more while looking HERE! More ideas than I can handle! lol

I love the punch of the Robin’s Egg and Candy Necklace Bazzill colors with this NEW Celebrate Jotted Script die from Memory Box. Links below. The pattern paper is a woodgrain that’s available too! yay!

Hi everyone…it’s been a fun Summer with our kids and g-kids. This is the card I made for Cedryk who turned six in July. He loves to fish with his dad and gpa and loves his kitties and dog and everything on wheels! lol

I had so much fun with this… I die cut the Pond Builder Set in Strathmore 400 BEST coldpress watercolor paper and watercolored the pieces with Gansai Tambi 36 color wc set. I mixed color right on my Tonic craft mat and then spattered on the extra with my favorite brush for spattering… I’ll link it up below… it’s the round #4 in the set.

I stamped the colored images on Neenah Solar White 110# cardstock, die cut them, then colored them with Copic Sketch markers. TIP: I always die cut before I color… if you need something larger to hold on to, use a temporary adhesive and stick the cut to a larger piece of paper or cardstock.

Isn’t he just the cutest and that kitty!!!

I don’t like to go places in the rain people! lol I came up the front stairway last night and bam… the roof is leaking. ugh. Water is supposed to stay outside and in ponds you know! So I’m feeling whiny baby. sigh
