Relax….another boat!

*****

I’ve never been in a sailboat so I don’t know if it’s relaxing or not!  I’ve been in several fishing boats and as long as I have a book… it’s relaxing! hehe

This is a Marianne Design Sailboat die, Classic Boats… if you live close to me… the Craft and Hobby Shop in Ottumwa can get it for you!  Online,  check it out HERE.  I embossed it while the cut piece was still in the die…then turned it over and with the ink blending tool I inked it with Distress inks, Brushed Corduroy and Tumbled Glass.  White Distress Stain and white pen on the tips of the waves and torn water card-stock.

The “sun”  so to speak is a stamp from a clear stamp set that Alice made me buy! OK,  she didn’t make me but when she pointed out the potential I grabbed it quick!  I am so glad she did!  It’s called Time Traveler by Tattered Angels… it’s been a couple years but I keep my stamps!  I might need them someday and sure enough… I’m always glad I have them!  There’s that Fiskars wave border punch again!

Linking up to Stretch My Stamps post by Virginia  HERE.  I just used part of the month/date circle stamp and then I used it for a sun instead of what it was meant for!  I love it!

The little seashell is from CC Designs NEW for Summer Sugarplums Beach kit!  LOVE it!  The word “RELAX” is from a CC Designs NEW for June Oh So Beachy Sentiments set… on the inside it says, “it’s your day!”

I’m going to use this for my swap card this afternoon at stamp club.  Glad Carolyn picked this theme because I needed to use this boat stuff!  So guess what… I’m on a boat kick… a couple more to use!  oh no! hahahahaha

I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest and I’ve been making badges for Tilda’s Town Challenges with the polaroid look… very fun!  Have a sailin’ good weekend!

A Birthday Boat!

*****

Marianne Design has come out with these fun word dies… I love cutting them and layering them up to look like chipboard.  I did ink the edges with Distress ink and the ink blending tool.

Here’s a link to them and if you go to the next page, you’ll see the new dies for June!  I don’t have them yet but I’m looking forward to having some in my possession soon!

The background Lure stamp is from Judikins… the main boat and dock image is an old PSX stamp.  DAD is an alphabet set that I picked up years ago at Hobby Lobby.  I have a thing about alphabet stamp sets… some people collect figurines… I collect stamps, dies, paper, you name it… lol!  I have a feeling you’re in the same “boat”!  Pun intended!

On the inside I used a belated birthday greeting from a CC Designs AmyR Stamp sentiment set.  Perfect Layers Tools to mat the image… link in the right sidebar.

Hello Little Butterfly Tilda for Tilda’s Town Challenges…

❤❤❤❤❤

Time for a new Tilda’s Town Challenge!  This week we want to see you use an accessory stamp with Tilda and or Edwin.   What to use?  What to use first?!!!  It’ll be fun to see the combos that everyone comes up with!  I had a hard time deciding… I finally had to settle on what time would allow! You know me… down to the wire! = )

Here’s my sweet, sweet Tilda for today… Hello Butterfly Tilda and Tulip Walkway from the Butterfly Wishes Collection, in the store HERE.  I stamped her on Hammermill Color Copy 80# Cover paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copics.  I really like the hair combo I used this time,  E50 all over, YR31, Y21, E35 and E37.   The pinks I used on her dress are RV0000, RV11 and RV32.

❤❤❤❤❤

Basic Grey pattern paper… the logo stamp is from CC Designs Butterfly Logos set and don’t cha love this new Floral Swirl Corner die from Magnolia too!  Sweeeet! It’s in the store at Tilda’s Town HERE.  I cut it in green and pinks… clipped out the flowers and glued them on top of the green.  Added pearls…  Used the Perfect Layers tools of course!  A Wilton doily and a  Martha Stewart butterfly punch.

❤❤❤❤❤

So fun to be using my Magnolia stamps again!  Enjoy looking at all the team’s creations at Tilda’s Town Challenges, HERE.  We’d LOVE to have you join us and play with the new theme!  Awesome prize for a random winner chosen by Inlinkz and then the TT DT picks the top five!  It’s the talk of the town!  Tilda’s Town!

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy weekend to you!  I’ll be back next week with CC Designs June release!  Ready or not… it’s June already!!!!

Cherry – O…

*****

Swiss Pixies Cherry Lucy here to wish you a cupcake kind of day!  She’s so cherry-licious!  yum… we had a cherry tree in our backyard when I was growing up and my mom made the best cherry pies… those were the days!  Now I just make paper cherries! lol  Love this cherry die from CC Designs Cutters… so fun!  I love the dainty stem!  The days of chunky die cuts are over!  yea! hip, hip, hurray!

Lucy is stamped on Letraset Cartridge A4 card (All That Scraps ordered it for me, email Christine if you want to try it)  with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.  For her skin I used, Ivory, Vanilla, Oatmeal and Apricot.  Soft Peach for her cheeks.  Her hair… oh,  it’s crazy! waaaaah… I haven’t gotten the brown combos down yet… but I’ll tell you whats under here… Caramel, Cinnamon, Henna, Auburn and Burnt Umber.  It was blah,  until I added the last two colors.  I used the chisel tip to get the hair strands… that works slick.  The reds are Poppy, Crimson and Burgundy.  The pinks… again crazy… trying to match the paper.  I started with Sunkissed Pink and Dusty Pink…. then added Blush and I can’t even remember!   The awesome thing about alcohol markers is you can just keep coloring over stuff.  (well except skin,  it goes really wonky IMO)

If you like coloring and like markers you’ll have fun with these… they are different than Copics.  I would hate to give up my Copics but…these are fun.  I will say I’m glad I have them and it’s just fun to change it up!  Here’s a tutorial I made on coloring with PM and FM HERE.
