A Birthday Boat!

*****

Marianne Design has come out with these fun word dies… I love cutting them and layering them up to look like chipboard.  I did ink the edges with Distress ink and the ink blending tool.

Here’s a link to them and if you go to the next page, you’ll see the new dies for June!  I don’t have them yet but I’m looking forward to having some in my possession soon!

The background Lure stamp is from Judikins… the main boat and dock image is an old PSX stamp.  DAD is an alphabet set that I picked up years ago at Hobby Lobby.  I have a thing about alphabet stamp sets… some people collect figurines… I collect stamps, dies, paper, you name it… lol!  I have a feeling you’re in the same “boat”!  Pun intended!

On the inside I used a belated birthday greeting from a CC Designs AmyR Stamp sentiment set.  Perfect Layers Tools to mat the image… link in the right sidebar.

THANKS for looking!  ttul!

  1. Hi Pam! What a great man card! I have that dock image too….used it on one of my Stampscape projects!
You can’t go wrong with lures and a boat, right? Every man in my family would love this card.
Now, as for the word dies……GOTTA HAVE ‘EM!

  2. Hi Pam, What a great birthday card!! I love the background you created with the lure stamp. And, don’t you just miss stamps from PSX. They always had so much detail like the one that you used for this card! The die cut words are also great.
    Hugs,
    Suzan

  3. I had to laugh when I saw your card. I, too, used blue and khaki with the boat theme for club tomorrow. And, I used some cording on the card to make it look like rope. My background is different and the card layout is different. See you tomorrow. Oh, great card !!!

  4. Love this guy card! It just oozes “guy” when you look at it. lol Love the word dies. I can;t believe I missed them. Your background is terrific. You couldn’t have found a better one than the one you made yourself!

  5. Thanks for posting this. I always get asked to make a masculine card and it’s not easy for me. You inspired me so I’ll have to see what I make.

  6. Your card is wonderful. It looks great in the neutral colour palette with the natural fibre embellishing it. And that image is perfection – so serene.

    Hugs, Dawn
